My memory of Kyoto was to peep into girl's bathroom with my class mates and to have caught by teacher.
I was always sleeping without visiting the temples in the bus.
I remember that I sang this song in a bus
I dont know Whenever listening to this song, I regrets.

THIS GUY!!!
Is dat your brother, maki-chan?
Hanshin-Tigress August 10th, 2007, 09:20 PM yeah we are half french and half japanese, but he looks the least asian of our siblings and the most european. I guess i look the most asian and then my younger brother and then him...(you can see me in izakaya the girls thread.. here http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=307048&page=9)
I am suprised you guessed it right by saying 'haafu' since most just say he looks european..
SO other then my brother no comment on the pictures?!
elfreako August 11th, 2007, 01:05 AM No, No, your pics are great, Maki-chan! Makes me wanna hop on a plane and see Kyoto myself (last time I was there, I was a screaming 5-year old...) Unfortunately, I got distracted by your brother, hehe. I can tell straight away he's haafu, 'cos I'm one, too. I think we have an inbuilt ability to detect other haafus!
LordMarshall August 11th, 2007, 01:46 AM great pics
south August 11th, 2007, 02:31 AM i love those pics! i haven't been to kyoto for 2 years and that's too long for me. such a relaxed atmosphere compared to here. if i lived in osaka i think i'd go to kyoto every weekend...
Facial August 11th, 2007, 03:14 AM Great pics. I visited there in 2003, it was a blast. Just remembered it was really humid though, but that's b/c I live in a Mediterranean climate.

Gendo August 16th, 2007, 05:04 AM Excellent shots Maki!!! I especially like that last one.
Definately I place I'd like to go visit.
Grams August 17th, 2007, 05:54 PM I love hanging around those old templese. Stillness of the surroundings and great views are perfect to know how
people have lived. Of cource, Kyoto's local dishes are great stuff. Especially, if you can find out the different
taste from other prefecture, you could be a gourmet of Japanese food. Real kyoto's food are definately taste of
supremacy for Japanese but they're expensive.:okay:
Can your cousin speak Japanese like you?
banzaisteve August 25th, 2007, 04:21 AM Kyoutendouchi, is that correct? Amazing? Don't know a lot of japanese, but I'm trying :P.
Do you happen to have more pictures of downtown at night? When i went a typhoon was coming/hit, so it was real nasty and wet most of the time I was there, so didn't get a lot of pics. :[

I wonder why the Geishas do extremely thick make-ups.

Top Gear November 26th, 2007, 09:14 AM hey, I remember seeing the tall pagoda in that big picture from last page when I was passing by in the shinkansen. It was very striking. Kyoto is truely a historic city, comparable to Quebec of Canada and Kyongju of S.Korea (all favorite targets for school trips)

Quebec (founded 400 years ago or so), has much less historical depth than kyoto.. but for canadians, it's nonetheless 'highly historical' :D.
This being said: Quebec is actually not bad, feels a bit like a 'young' carcassonne..
FREKI December 23rd, 2007, 06:11 AM Lovely pics - lovely place! :)
