Got this in the post today - is it just some supplier pulling some scam or legit?

Scam? aren't all meters destined for replacement?

Blimey BG - been smoking too many jazz cigarettes? Making you paranoid?
They want to change your meter to one of the new digital ones.
Thats all.
They arent going to drug you and put mind control implants in (and possibly bum you)!
They did ours last year. Took about 5 minutes.

On reflection perhaps I need to calm down a little with the conspiracy fears!

(they're still out to get me mind... :shifty:)

Not even if I slip them a sly tenner? :naughty:

I guess the reason its addressed to 'the occupier' is data protection. You probably dont get your supply from Eon but they own the infrastructure so they dont have your specific details.
Either that or Eon are a shady government outfit who are keen to tap the mind of the Bearded genius and use a mind control box cunningly disguised as an electricity meter (and bum you).

Two mistakes: It should be The Occupant not The 'Occupier'.

Oh, and I don't think Manchester is in Lancashire anymore....

I thankyou.

I wouldn't worry about it Bearded Genius. Its only when they ask for your bank details that you need to be on your guard.

By the way, if you are worried about your bank details falling into the wrong hands, please send them to me in a PM and I will put them somewhere safe.
