On this picture you can clearly see the North-East Town Reclamation project (Boskalis Westminster Project). Will give 125.000 bahrainis a new home soon? North-East you can see the Health Island Reclamation works (I think), next of Amwaj.

I took these photos as I was going from Doha to Kuwait. We passed by Bahrain and we could see the whole of Bahrain, East Saudi, and Western Qatar in one shot! Amazing!

Wow = AWESOME pictures.

One of my first ever memories as a child of about 2 years old was Bahrain. In the early 70s nearly all flights between Australia and UK passed through the country. I can remember as a child getting off the plane at the airport and walking over the tarmac with my mother. The air was so hot and the noise of the jet was so loud. It was quite a frightening sensory overload for a two year-old - hence I can remember it well.

cute story :) You should come visit again, its a lot 'different' now as u might imagine..
