Lexington Financial Center - Lexington, KY
125 meters
30 floors
1987

The tallest building in Lexington. The Lexington Financial Center. It is 31stories and 410 ft. tall. The building is the most famous and recognizable landmarks in the city. It can be seen for miles around the metro. The building is home to 5/3rd Bank and numerous offices. On the 30th floor is the offices of Webb Company. They own the building and have balconies on the 31st.

The Financial Center was built in 1987 and was considered one of the most distinguished buildings in the state. Its blue glasses reflect the weather of the day almost perfectly. It is a representation of the Bluegrass that is grown in the region. The Financial Center is tall enough to see the Appalachian Mountains that are 30 miles south of the city in Madison County. It also serves as a point of broadcast for radio stations in the area. The observation decks on the 31st floor are not open.

A nice and interesting shape, but much more could have been done with this building. They could have added some setbacks or something.

i like blue glass 7/10:) but i agree with Lmichigan that it does look a bit boring without setbacks or something like setbacks

7.5/10...I like the glass and color but the shape isn't too great, and at times the building could look very dull.

The dark blue colour is very nice, and enhances it's shape. :)

I don't recall it ever having an observation deck open to the public...

Anyway, I've always liked this photo because I used to live on this street.
