All the buildings are not textured, I make the windows etc. myself just as Malec does. If you mean the 2 grey buildings, there will be more of them in the model, white and black ones.

About my avatar, some people thought I was a woman because of the "naughty" actress with the Emirates shirt as my avatar. Therefor i thought, why not place myself as avatar so everyone can see im a HE and not a SHE :P

The new render looks grainier than the previous ones. Try something in between perhaps:dunno:

I think that's because I used another sky. Normally I use the blue sky with clouds. But the glass looks quite cool doesn't it? :)

Dubai Addiction, you're freaking unhuman!!! I'm currently modelling Princess Tower in Maya and I find it pretty tough to get all the scales right. I don't see how you manage to do these models so fast with all the textures and everything, and yet so detailed!


Btw, if your computer can handle it, it would be cool if you placed all towers in one single model (in their realistic placements).

Did this render on my friend's computer. I managed to render these five towers. I hope I can get some more eventually. Damac Heights was quite difficult to model but here it is. It's not the final render because the sky didn't work out the way I wanted. Also I think the buildings are a bit to bright and I want to make a window-pattern on the Damac Heights building.

Finished Marina Arcade today and wanted to render it together with the other towers I rendered before but it's not going to happen :( Tried it for five times not and I'm getting an error every time and these are not even half of the towers! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

I do not know if you tried this, but I went online and this solution helped me with sketchup actually not even RUNNING!

OK So go into your display properties.
-Settings tab
-Advanced button
-Troubleshoot tab
-turn OFF Hardware acceleration, and I believe I disabled write combining.

in your models, how much textures do you use? do you use a lot of textures for the detail, or lots of components with colour as opposed to textures (like I do in my models)?

I think I do the same like in your models. I use textures, but not like whole sides of buildings. I model most of the building and details using components. My favourite tool which is one of the most important in Sketchup to use is the intersect buttom.

I'm done modeling the tower, only having problems rendering it. I want to render a two point perspective image in sketchup using v-ray. Anybody has any experience with that? Everytime i try to render v-ray renders only half of the tower, the top is always out of my point of view.
