yamota September 19th, 2009, 10:57 PM wait a minute, do they go by the city, or by what team they were before they moved to their present city? If they do wear the old Colts uniforms, would manning and flacco have to switch teams just for that one day?
rockin'.baltimorean September 20th, 2009, 04:53 AM What if the ravens wore ther classic uniforms when they play the Cleveland Browns? It would be the same uniform as the Browns!! :Dactually, the ravens don't have throwback uniforms. they can't wear their old helmets with the "B" in the shield with the wings because of the lawsuit they were once faced with. and furthermore, once they moved here, the browns "history" was just discontinued for about 4-5 years until they got a new cleveland browns franchise with the same name, the same "pumpkinhead"-looking helmets, and those same ugly brown uniforms. once the new franchise started, their "history" resumed.
in other words, the ravens were considered an expansion franchise when they moved here.

If they do wear the old Colts uniforms, would manning and flacco have to switch teams just for that one day?lol.....nope. indy can have manning. i'm lovin' flacco's arm right now...
StevenW September 20th, 2009, 07:04 PM ^^ You got that right! He'll help the Ravens to at least 1 or 2 SuperBowls before it's all said and done. :okay:
rockin'.baltimorean September 21st, 2009, 03:06 AM hell of a game! lewis really put a vicious smacking on darren sproles on 4th down. this is our year, fellas!
we're 2-0!!!
but i have to say this.......that kid sproles is something else! at 5'7, i' sure he was the tiniest player on the field, but made some of the biggest plays throughout the game.
la'danian tomlinson (if you're reading this), WATCH OUT!!! i think you have some competition looking over your shoulder!
micrip September 21st, 2009, 07:46 AM Where was the pass protection today, though? Yes, I know, we had a couple interceptions. But we got burnt long several times. Fortunate the Ravens escaped with a win today.

la'danian tomlinson (if you're reading this), WATCH OUT!!! i think you have some competition looking over your shoulder! You mean that little guy? #43? Yes, it was a joy watching him play. I must say that he really made Ed Reed look silly on his first touchdown run. Sproles ran left and Reed meant to go left but went right. That was sarcastic! LOL:lol:
But I am glad we got the win in the end. GO RAVENS!
Exrexnotex September 21st, 2009, 07:47 PM Our secondary sucked! Sucked! Our running game was right on. I've never seen McGahee play the way he is playing now. I'm glad we got the win. 2-0 ( 6-0 counting preseason :D)!
StevenW September 22nd, 2009, 02:30 AM Go Ravens, indeed! It wasn't pretty, but it was another win. Again, RAY LEWIS is the reason for the win, ultimately. He was great!! Awesome finish for him!!!
:)

yamota September 24th, 2009, 02:32 AM While theyr'e at it, get rid of Campbell too! I don't know why the coaching staff is so high on this guy, he's not starting QB caliber
rockin'.baltimorean September 24th, 2009, 04:20 AM ^^nor is collins. i say revamp the QB position in the nation's capital....
StevenW September 25th, 2009, 06:43 PM Baltimore hosts Cleveland this week. GO Ravens!!! :D
Any predictions?
I'll say: Ravens 41 Browns 13

An absolute, one-sided beatdown. Can't say I've ever seen an NFL game so lopsided before. And the Steelers lost today too!!

I know you're sore from the deadskins loss, sorry, but I think even the bruised and battered ravens team that lost to miami two years ago could beat your skins. Back to the drawing board in D.C.
Exrexnotex September 28th, 2009, 04:11 PM yeah...

The Ravens!
We got beat buy a team who had a chance to go 0-16, just a chance (good chance, though). We didn't get beat by a proven loser team.
Tricia_Lvs_Baltimore September 28th, 2009, 05:50 PM The Ravens!

It's back to the drawing board for the Redskins. They have absolutely no talent this year. They need to thank their lucky stars the Ravens aren't on their schedule this year. GO RAVENS!

hpal3 September 30th, 2009, 07:38 PM The only good thing at FedEx Field thus far this season was the U2 concert last night. They put on one hell of a show!!!...imho.
StevenW September 30th, 2009, 09:49 PM ^^ Yeah they do a great live event. Pink Floyd is still my favorite all time live show!! :D
en1044 October 1st, 2009, 05:58 AM They have absolutely no talent this year.
Thats...a pretty uninformed statement.
rockin'.baltimorean October 1st, 2009, 11:56 AM ^^season is still young, guys. can't make any assumptions yet. we're only 1/4 into the season.....
rockin'.baltimorean October 4th, 2009, 10:11 PM start of the 4th!!!
rockin'.baltimorean October 4th, 2009, 10:33 PM wow, can't believe it. we had every opportunity to win.
rockin'.baltimorean October 4th, 2009, 10:36 PM mark clayton, how could you? :ohno:
StevenW October 4th, 2009, 11:38 PM Yeah, mark clayton and carr and ngata and int. Penalties and fumbles and catches dropped will kill ya every time. :ohno:
rockin'.baltimorean October 5th, 2009, 02:27 AM ^^those bogus "roughing the passer" calls on ngata/suggs certainly didn't help matters any....
Exrexnotex October 5th, 2009, 03:00 AM ^^ I'm on my way back home from the game and I have to say I'm a little bit dissapointed. We could have easily won that game. Worst of all, Pats fans are so arrogant!
I was surprised to see a good turnout of Ravens fans in MA.
micrip October 5th, 2009, 08:16 AM Did I hear a nice "Heeaapp" call when he made his nice catch, or was I imagining things? Ravens fans do seem to get around. Hard to say what would have happened if Clayton made the catch..they still had to get into the end zone. Harbaugh was a bit off today, too, in my opinion. What was up with that delayed time-out right before the half? And the challenge on that catch in the 4th quarter?^^

Gsol October 5th, 2009, 08:16 PM Why were we passing so much? Wouldn't it have been better to run some plays? It seems like we are trying to prove somthing. Flacco was a bit off on some of his throws. But despite all that, and some questioanable officiating - I may add -If only Clayton could have held on to the ball we'd be 4 - 0. Its disappointing. Hope we can re-group and mangle the Bengals next week.

You are not imagining things, the Heeeap call was loud. It was so cool! At point we did the D-Fence call and it was also kinda loud but then those Pats fans ruining with an offense call of their own.
The John Harbaugh challenge was a good call, in my opinion. If the ref's call would have been in our favor, they would have turn the ball on down, thus never kicking the field goal. Luckily for us, a penalty against the pats held them down to 3 points.
I agree with Gsol, we should have run the ball more. Rice was hard to stop. Flacco did put a very nice drive at the end of the game, if only Clayton would have caught the ball ... if only ... Man, I'm still pissed we lost. The refs killed us. Even the guy sitting next to me, who is a Pats fan, told me that it's ridiculous how much Brady is protected by the referees. He was obviously okay with it but understand other team's frustrations.
Exrexnotex October 6th, 2009, 06:36 AM did the ravens fans have a big turnout up there?
Yes. If you take into account that both cities are 400 miles apart. I can't tell you exactly how many of us were there, but there was a good number. I guess because it is the closest away game this season.
micrip October 6th, 2009, 08:56 AM Well revenge is sweet. We've allowed Bosox fans to take over Oriole Park, so it's only fitting that Ravens fans make a substantial showing in Gillette Stadium!

but ya' know what's odd? i've looked at bumper stickers on cars/SUV's/vans around the city and i see tons of steelers logos. also, i personally know tons of steelers fans here in our area. it's almost to the point where it's embarassing.
StevenW October 11th, 2009, 10:16 PM Today's game confirmed my fears about the Ravens. They will NOT win it all this year. In fact, they will NOT even make the playoffs. The Steelers will come back, as usual. The Bengals will own the AFC North. Joe Flacco did NOT play to what he should have. The defense was bad. One great play by Reed. Whoopee.
And the damn penalties sealed the deal for their fate.
The Ravens will lose next week. Watch and see.
They might win 3 or 4 more games this year. In fact, I'll say their closing record will be 7 and 9. They will be laughing stock of the NFL commonTATERS.
Ray Lewis will "retire" at the end of the season. And Baltimore will eventually lose the Orioles and the Ravens to other cities within the next 5 years. Baltimore will never build a new tallest or any "tower" over 400 ft. tall ever again. Lastly, Baltimore will sink deeper and deeper in debt and crime will rise so high that the President will declare Baltimore a "disaster area" and forbid anyone to travel there under any circumstance. That will lead to Baltimore ultimately becoming a test site for military combat training ground. And, in 20 years from they will abandon the city because the ice caps will have melted so bad that the city will be totally covered in water. 50 years later the lost city of Baltimore becomes the number one destination for scuba diving.
way to go ravens. way to go. look what you done.

Hood October 12th, 2009, 04:07 PM I am looking at the schedule and its not looking good at all for us given they way we have played this season. KC gave us too good of a game. Chargers should have beaten us moving the ball at will. We got lucky the called a run play. We took care of the browns like we should have. The patriots moved the ball at will on our vaunted D. And the Bengals just plain beat us up, we were lucky to even be in that game. Botched FG, dropped TD pass. Chance of winning on a per game basis as I see it:
Sun 10/18 Minnesota Vikings at Minnesota 1:00 pm – 25%
Sun 11/1 Denver Broncos Denver 1:00 pm – 40%
Sun 11/8 Cincinnati Bengals at Cincinnati 1:00 pm – 50%
Mon 11/16 Cleveland Browns at Cleveland 8:30 pm – 95%
Sun 11/22 Indianapolis Colts Indianapolis 1:00 pm – 10%
Sun 11/29 Pittsburgh Steelers Pittsburgh 8:20 pm – 50%
Mon 12/7 Green Bay Packers at Green Bay 8:30 pm – 50%
Sun 12/13 Detroit Lions Detroit 1:00 pm - 85%
Sun 12/20 Chicago Bears Chicago 1:00 pm -75%
Sun 12/27 Pittsburgh Steelers at Pittsburgh 1:00 pm – 50%
Sun 1/3 Oakland Raiders at Oakland 4:15 pm – 95%
Too many likely losses and 50/50 games. Hope we make a statement against the Vikings. Unless we pressure the QB better, our corners are screwed and we will lose a lot

No, I was saying that the Bengals will probably win the AFC North. Not the Steelers. The Steelers will probably edge out Baltimore for the wild card slot.
rockin'.baltimorean October 13th, 2009, 02:56 AM ^^i know i'm gonna' catch alot of slack for saying this, but despite yesterday's outcome, i don't think the bengals are for real....
rockin'.baltimorean October 13th, 2009, 03:02 AM ^^we beat ourselves yesterday. we had so many missed opportunities......
1)when flacco overthrew clayton in the 3rd quarter for a td. clayton had the guy beat by a good 3 yards...
2)mason not having no catches (when was the last time that happened? has it ever happened?)..
3)throwing too much......
4)ray's unnecessary hit on ochocinco on the final drive....
5)frank walker's pass interference on the following play....
6)being too conservative....
in the end, we beat ourselves. flat out. with that being said, i don't think the bengals are truly as good as their record.
StevenW October 13th, 2009, 04:02 AM ^^ That may be, but they are 4 and 1 and we are tied with the Steelers at 3 and 2.
We have the Vikings next. The 5 and 0 Vikings. Can you say, "3 and 3"?
Favre always plays well against us. And if you think Baltimore struggled with the Bengals running game, oh boy! Wait until they travel to and play against the Vikings.... Not good.
Exrexnotex October 13th, 2009, 06:01 AM What do you mean? He played yesterday right?
He did. He just didn't play as good as he can/does. I think it's time to give the rookie Webb a chance at CB. And does anyone else think Cris Carr sucks?

3-3 going into the bye ... damn. If we could only win this weekend, if only, that would be a huge spirits lifter. I don't think it's happening, though. I think we are capable of pulling an upset (after being considered one, if not, the best team in the NFL 2 weeks ago, I'm talking about being underdogs, pfft) but it's unlikely at this point. I'm still confident we are going to fix our weak points and I still think this team can go a long way. The talent is there, use it wisely.
Gsol October 13th, 2009, 03:25 PM How come the Vikings are only a three-point favorite against the Ravens in Minn.? Easy bet take the Vikings and the points. I thought it would, at least be five. Might change during the week.

THE FLIP SIDE: Who have they really played so far? Well, nobody — if you look at records, that is. The Colts haven't beaten anyone currently with a winning record, with their opposition sporting a combined 8-16 mark.

4 Eagles 3-1-0 - 3/7 THE BRIGHT SIDE: The man is back, and Philly's offense looks ready to explode weekly behind two new sandwich specials — the Mac-Mac attack (Donovan McNabb to Jeremy Maclin) and the Mac-Jack (McNabb to DeSean Jackson).
THE BRIGHT SIDE: The man is back, and Philly's offense looks ready to explode weekly behind two new sandwich specials — the Mac-Mac attack (Donovan McNabb to Jeremy Maclin) and the Mac-Jack (McNabb to DeSean Jackson). Cheesy? You bet, plus McNabb's strong arm can bring plenty of extra mustard, too.
THE FLIP SIDE: The only competent team the Eagles have played (Saints, Week 2) came into Philly's building and put a 48 spot on the board, with the Birds' three wins coming against teams with a composite record of 1-13.

5 Vikings 5-0-0 3 5/11 THE BRIGHT SIDE: Brett Favre's definitely made a difference as the Vikings have scored 27 points in five straight games for the first time since Minnesota's record-breaking 1998 squad. THE FLIP SIDE: The Vikes have had the early schedule on their side, with their two toughest opponents (49ers and Packers) at home, while Minny's three road trips were against NFL lowlifes Cleveland, Detroit and St, Louis.

7 Bengals 4-1-0 6 7/28 THE BRIGHT SIDE: This team could — dare we say, should — be 5-0 if not for that crazy play against Denver. But give it up to the Bengals for already dumping the defending champion Steelers, plus winning on the road in tough spots like Green Bay and Baltimore.

THE FLIP SIDE: All five of their games have come down to the final minute, so luck's played a little bit of a role in their four wins. (Example: How about that iffy pass interference call against the Ravens on a critical 3rd-and-16 incompletion Sunday, or getting to play Pittsburgh without Troy Polamalu?).

8 Jets 3-2-0 3 5/21 THE BRIGHT SIDE: Rookie Mark Sanchez has been a breath of fresh air and an energy boost out of the gates. Plus Rex Ryan has definitely brought attitude and toughness to New York. THE FLIP SIDE: Wins over Houston and Tennessee aren't all that, and its win over rusty New England in Week 2 at home is looking less ground-breaking with the Pats now 3-2.

10 Falcons 3-1-0 - 3/10 THE BRIGHT SIDE: 3-1 after four games, the Falcons are feeling pretty good about themselves after scorching the Niners' defense with 45 points and almost 500 yards. lending hope that this new-look offense is prepared to dominate as the season progresses.

THE BRIGHT SIDE:The offense is starting to get hot, scoring 56 points over the last two games, with RB Rashard Mendenhall leading an improving running game.
THE FLIP SIDE: Should losing one player mean this much? Without Troy Polamalu, the Steelers defense had been extremely ... average. Since the All-Pro safety went down with an injury in Week 1, Pittsburgh has forced just two turnovers in four games and allowed 20+ points in three consecutive games. Oh yeah, the Steelers have also blown two fourth-quarter leads, and nearly chucked away a 28-0 lead against San Diego in Week 4.

12 Ravens 3-2-0 5 7/12 THE BRIGHT SIDE: Baltimore's offense has made major strides, and is ranked fourth in scoring and third in total offense. For context, the team has finished in the top 10 just twice in each category in franchise history.
THE BRIGHT SIDE: Baltimore's offense has made major strides, and is ranked fourth in scoring and third in total offense. For context, the team has finished in the top 10 just twice in each category in franchise history. Second-year QB Joe Flacco looks ready to hopscotch into the league's top 10 passers this season.
THE FLIP SIDE: Losing back-to-back nailbiters will silence some of those "Ravens to the Super Bowl" predictions I heard so much when Baltimore started 3-0 against the suspect Chiefs, Chargers and Browns. The defense still shows signs of post-Rex Ryan withdrawal, having allowed 400 yards in a game twice already and giving up more rushing yards in each successive game they've played.

Gsol October 14th, 2009, 03:14 AM we'll win this game. in the battle of the "purple people", here's my prediction.....
baltimore - 24
minnesota -17
I hope you are right, but the Ravens have a weakness in the secondary. The Vikings can see it on the tapes. Cincy was able to run the ball like no team has done in quite a while. Unfortunately I see it in reverse:
Minn. 24
Ravens 17
It hurts me to make this prediction. I would like to be wrong. That dome is a tough place for a visiting team.

NFL fines Ravens' Lewis $25,000
LB disciplined for two 4th-quarter hits vs. Bengals; Harbaugh defends 14-year vet
The NFL fined Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis a total of $25,000 for two separate incidents in the fourth quarter of last week's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, believed to be the biggest fine in the league this season.
Lewis not only delivered a vicious hit that knocked Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco's helmet off, but he also was punished for kicking at another player in the fourth quarter.
ESPN reported that Lewis will appeal the fine, but the 14-year veteran refused to take any questions in the locker room Friday.
"I'm on Minnesota, I'm not talking about no fines," Lewis said, referring to Sunday's game in Minneapolis against the Vikings.
An NFL spokesman said in an e-mail that Lewis kicked a Bengals player on a pass play in the fourth quarter, in addition to the hit on Ochocinco. The game's play-by-play report had Lewis involved on a pair of incomplete passes intended for tight end J.P. Foschi. He was not penalized on either play, however.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh defended Lewis against the kicking violation and the notion he had crossed the line.
"I saw the play," Harbaugh said. "It was kind of an inadvertent trip that happened. They saw it the way they saw it. I'll say this about Ray Lewis: Ray Lewis is hard-nosed, he's a tough player. He's a physical guy. Ray Lewis is also the greatest sportsman maybe that I've met. He plays good, clean football.
"I guarantee you that the shot on Ochcinco was inside the strike zone and Ray, according to where he felt it was, he was shooting for inside the strike zone. It sure looked right there. ... I want to stand behind Ray in that sense. We can't speak for the league and what they look at and what they do or don't do. We respect that. I know Ray does, too. Ray Lewis is a good, clean, football player who respects the rules and always will."
Lewis said earlier in the week he expected a fine for the hit on Ochocinco. The Bengals receiver, a close friend of Lewis, tweeted that he didn't feel Lewis should be penalized.
Lewis drilled Ochocinco on an overthrown pass on which the receiver was defenseless and coming down from his jump. He was called for unnecessary roughness, which gave Cincinnati a first down at the Ravens’ 35 and aided the game-winning drive. The hit appeared to catch Ochocinco either on the shoulder pads or on part of his helmet, which sailed several feet.
The NFL's acceptable "strike zone" that Harbaugh referred to is below the neck and above the waist.
The fine represents 42.5% of Lewis' weekly salary of $58,823 this season. It also is the second in as many weeks levied against a Ravens defender. Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata was fined $5,000 the week before for a hand to the helmet of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Ngata said he would he would appeal his penalty.
There have been at least two fines of $12,500 in the league this season. Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Tackle Flozell Adams was fined that much for an incident that left the New York Giants' Jason Tuck injured. Guard Richie Incognito of the St. Louis Rams drew the same amount for two late-hit personal fouls.
In fact, Adams has been fined a total of $25,000 for three violations on three consecutive weeks this season. He was also fined $5,000 for unnecessary roughness in the season opener against Tampa Bay and $7,500 for kicking at Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers in Week 3.
Harbaugh also said the team would support Lewis if he decides to appeal the fine.
Lewis has been fined by the NFL twice previously in his career. He drew a $7,500 fine for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair in a 2000 AFC semifinal playoff game.
He was fined $250,000 in August of 2000 after his plea bargain of obstruction of justice in a double murder case in Atlanta.
NOTES: Left tackle Jared Gaither was listed at doubtful for Sunday's game, even though he hasn't practiced since injuring his neck two weeks ago against the New England Patriots. The Ravens appear in good health otherwise. Ngata (back) was limited in Friday's practice but is listed as probable, along with linebacker Jarret Johnson (shoulder), tight end Edgar Jones (hamstring) and wide receivers David Tyree (hamstring) and Mark Clayton (shoulder). ... The Vikings list wide-out Darius Reynaud (hamstring) as doubtful, and wide receiver Percy Harvin (shoulder) and tackle Phil Loadholt (ankle) as questionable.
Harbaugh did not rule out a trade before Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline, but sounded doubtful. "It's so hard to anticipate activity," he said. "We work on a lot of things. I know Ozzie [Newsome] and Eric [DeCosta] and Vince [Newsome] and those guys turn over every stone in every way they can to try to make our team better. I'm sure they're looking at a lot of things right now. There are possibilities, but it's so hard to make a trade in the NFL, it seems like. You just don't see it very often. It's very rare. But we'll just have to see what happens."
StevenW October 18th, 2009, 07:23 PM So far, the Vikings are in control of EVERY PART OF THE GAME!
The Ravens can't stop the offence. They can't move on their defense.
Special teams...... here we go again....
Anybody still think the ravens will win this one? Anyone?
The mighty RAVENS will come from behind and defeat the little vikings in their own stadium. 3 and 3, 3 and 3, 3 and 3, 3and 3, Come on everybody! Can you say, "3 and 3!
The Vikings are making the Ravens look really, really bad. 14 to nothing within the first 8 and 1/2 minutes of play.
Way to go, Ravens! You make us PROUD!!! :master:
StevenW October 18th, 2009, 09:50 PM 3 and 3...... it's getting closer.....:lurker:
StevenW October 18th, 2009, 09:54 PM could it be?......a...come back?:? could it be?....they won't go....3 and 3?....
StevenW October 18th, 2009, 10:03 PM do my eyes deceive me? ravens 31, vikings 30? is it over yet?
can we go ahead and just speed up the clock to just 1 second to go?
pretty please? with sugar on top? :D
StevenW October 18th, 2009, 10:04 PM well, i guess i got excited a bit too early, huh?
StevenW October 18th, 2009, 10:21 PM ravens blow it again.... way to go mr. kicker. way to go.
3 and 3.
rockin'.baltimorean October 18th, 2009, 10:50 PM haushka's going to be among the 9% of americans that's unemployed come next week.......lol:jk:
but all jokes aside, this loss hurts. we gotta' stop losing like this.
question: why on earth did we not sign matt stover back? i just don't understand the logic. he would've a great mentor for haushka.
Balmurfan October 18th, 2009, 10:57 PM This was supposed to be a Super Bowl caliber team... As of now, it appears a 3rd place finish in the AFC North is all that can be expected! What an embarrassment! :ohno: If they continue with the same quality of play, they might as well change their colors to orange and black! :bash:
micrip October 18th, 2009, 11:06 PM ....miss Stover yet? He would have made it!! But the game was lost way before that. The "great" Ravens defense may now be just a myth. The secondary is not even "second" rate...been a problem all year.
rockin'.baltimorean October 18th, 2009, 11:18 PM ^^walker was hit with a penalty of thirty-seven yards on one play. i would've sat him down. he was flagged later on the vikings final drive for pass interference again!! pathetic...
micrip October 19th, 2009, 07:31 AM I saw that as a desperation play. If he doesn't interfere, it's probably a sure catch and a TD. The penalty gave them a chance to keep them out of the end zone. The thing I would be critical of is this secondary can't cover anybody, making these kinds of penalties inevitable.^^
Hood October 19th, 2009, 01:50 PM I won’t blame the kicker 100%. The snap was horrible on that last kick. It was up behind the holder’s head. I think that was just enough to f up his timing. Besides, he didn’t give up 14 points in the 1st 2 drives to the Vikings. He didn’t founder around and get us only 3 points in the 1st half. He didn’t give up a 65 yard pass plan on a 7 yard slant. I can’t believe we were even in a position to win after we were down so much. So while the loss stung in the way it happened, can you believe that it was the ravens that came roaring back and scored so many points in the 4th quarter? Any other year, being down by three scores with 9 minutes left would have been game over.
I still think we can beat any team on any given day. We have not gotten blown out yet. We could have won every single game we have played, how many other teams can say that? With a few breaks, and some more hard work, I still see us coming out ok. We are just one game out of 1st place.
StevenW October 19th, 2009, 03:05 PM ^^ Point about the giving up 14 points right off the bat is spot on. How terrible. They should not have had to come back from that in the first place. The D-fense is streaky. Not a consistant force. But, I sure would have loved to have had Stover in a few of these games so far. Mark my words, more games will be lost because of "missed" fieldgoals. :ohno:
That, and the stupid penalties!!! :bash:
Flacco did a great job in my opnion. He stood toe to toe with the great favre. In the end, the vikings did not beat the ravens. Like the past losses this year, the ravens beat themselves. No excuses. Fix the weak points or you'll be watching the playoffs at home.
Exrexnotex October 19th, 2009, 08:49 PM Why is Frank Walker still playing for us (or any team, for that matter)? :gaah:
We need to get rid of him and Carr. Lardarius Webb should be given a chance at CB, I don't think if it'll be of enough help but it can't get any worse, right? Speaking of him, I like him as a kick returner. I think we are heading into the bye week at a "right" time. We need a bit of time to fix our pass defense. I still think we can go a long way, it all depends on how we play against the Broncos. They have a good QB and a very good reciever, if we can keep them under control ... :okay: if not, well ...
Joe Flacco is sooo cool in 2 minute drills.

rockin'.baltimorean October 20th, 2009, 03:12 AM ^^yeah, i heard him speak on wbal11 at noon, and he felt like he let his team down. this kind of loss really hurts.
if the defense isn't going to come and play, we can atleast lose 59-0 like new england did to tennessee....

micrip October 30th, 2009, 09:40 AM Any predictions on the Ravens game? The oddsmakers have them favored by 3, believe it or not. Both teams are coming off bye weeks. I think the Ravens will win a close one...24-21.

I am coming down there for the game. I'd hate to see a loss, but its going to be tough. Unless there is an improvement in the secondary and more discipline among the players, I have to go with the Broncos 27 - 24. The Ravens certainly have the potential, but we'll have to see if the bye week changed anything. The Ravens had the opportunity to win the previous three games, it was well within their control.

now keep it up.
New_Balto November 1st, 2009, 11:06 PM Congrats, ravens. you won one.

After the previous 3 loses, I figured I wouldn't turn on the TV.
My theory worked; if I miss a game, they'd win. If they lost? Well, the anger my heart doesn't have to deal with could save me a coronary.
Glad they won, sorry I missed it, and I won't get any ribbing from any Steelers and Redskins fans at work tomorrow.
Now, if I can catch me a Ravens shirt to compliment my two car flags in the gloating I'll be doing at work. :cheers::banana::lol::lol::lol::banana::):):):nuts::nuts::nuts:

Tricia_Lvs_Baltimore November 3rd, 2009, 05:38 PM I' m going to use that as my avatar...lolWow. You were serious! It can't be all that bad for the Redskins. It's not even at the midpoint of the season.
yamota November 4th, 2009, 04:27 AM I dunno, I know the skins have had bad records before but there's something different about this. I think me and a whole bunch of other real Redskins fans can feel it too, just something wrong about all this, something very wrong, I can't put my finger on it
micrip November 4th, 2009, 09:28 AM I've noticed on a couple of occasions the published attendance of Redskins games has been quite a bit lower than 90,000...does that mean they haven't been selling out? Or do they count bodies thru the turnstiles rather than actual tix sold?
hpal3 November 4th, 2009, 08:45 PM I've noticed on a couple of occasions the published attendance of Redskins games has been quite a bit lower than 90,000...does that mean they haven't been selling out? Or do they count bodies thru the turnstiles rather than actual tix sold?
Its a body count. All the games are sold out.
yamota November 5th, 2009, 04:49 AM A lot more no-shows lately. I think if more people were to give up their season tickets, it would hit Snyder where it really hurts, the wallet.
StevenW November 8th, 2009, 07:43 PM boy oh boy! tell ya what! both baltimore and washington are both losing 14 to nothing in the 1st quarter. not looking too good for either team. if ravens lose this game, then they will certainly NOT make the playoffs. just sad. :ohno:
it's just plain sad. :( not one team of the two to have a real chance for the playoffs. this is the make-you/break-you game for the ravens. washington seems to have thrown in the towel much earlier. i don't know which is better? redskins are not giving anyone hope this season. ravens keep tugging and teasing their fans. inconsistant playing. good one week, bad the other week.

StevenW November 8th, 2009, 08:38 PM the way this is going....... i see the ravens losing this one 38 to 3 or 38 to 7.
StevenW November 8th, 2009, 09:17 PM this is getting really stupid. depressing..... who are those people in the baltimore ravens uniforms anyway? :?:bash:
StevenW November 8th, 2009, 09:30 PM well, ravens got their 7 points.......:runaway::lol:
StevenW November 8th, 2009, 09:48 PM Hauschka chokes again!!!!!!!!!!!! Believable. He is such an AWESOME kicker! Boy, I wish I could kick like that. Then maybe the NFL would sign me to a big paycheck on a great team like these ravens.
StevenW November 8th, 2009, 10:17 PM That's the season for the ravens.
they may win next week. maybe.
then there is two more loses coming when they get slaughtered by indy and then the steelers. isn't that wonderful?
well...... here's to hoping that the O's win more games in 2010.
whooops. i guess that ain't happening either, is it?
well, we've got all of our big and tall towers going up in the city.,..uh..., well,... dang! we don't have that either, do we?
well, at least no other out-of-town corporation is gobbling up any of our fortune 500 companies. ooops. dang!! we just lost B&D didn't we? boy, baltimore is on a roll! what will be the next bit of great and encouraging news for the region?
it's a shame really. i thought at the first part of this season that they were better than the steelers and bengals. whooops! thought wrong. :bash:
rockin'.baltimorean November 9th, 2009, 01:20 AM ^^sad day indeed.
Scba November 9th, 2009, 04:14 AM Yuck. Yuck yuck yuck. Bengals have us completely figured out this season.
At least we've got some sure wins against Cleveland, Oakland, and Detroit later on.
Balmurfan November 9th, 2009, 05:50 AM ^^^^ Don't bet on that!
micrip November 9th, 2009, 09:01 AM Ozzie Newsome, up to now, has pretty much made great decisions. But not re-signing Matt Stover was not one of them. That missed kick against the Vikings is looming ever larger now. And the one missed against the Bengals was at a critical moment in the game. And Hauschka (sp?) keeps making the same mistakes. The Ravens, at the very least, would be 5-3 and still in it, or even 6-2 if Stover had still been around, in my opinion.
Gsol November 9th, 2009, 03:20 PM Looks rather grim for the Ravens to make the playoffs. They need to be the team that showed up last week. What happened to that team? Did they miss the plane?
We need to win six out of the next eight to even hope for a post season game. How is that going to be possible when we have to face the Colts, Steelers twice and the Packers? Lets say they beat the Browns, Lions, Raiders and Bears, that gets us 8 - 8. So somehow this team has to win at least two games against the tough teams. After watching yesterday's disaster, I don't think the defense is able to keep us close in those tough games to have a shot. Then, even when they hold the offense needs to step up. Yesterday nothing was working.
Exrexnotex November 9th, 2009, 07:37 PM It looked like Palmer was not wearing deodorant (get it?) because the Ravens' D did not get anywhere near him. Where is the QB pressure? Where are the Blitzes? What a horrible game! Horrible! Even if we make it to the playoffs, with the way our secondary has been playing all season, we won't get past the wild card game.
StevenW November 9th, 2009, 09:18 PM ^^ I agree, sadly.
Exrexnotex November 9th, 2009, 09:32 PM ^^i've always wondered if foxworth was a flat-out waste of money....
now, i know he was. the falcons can have this guy back (free of charge....lol).
He's been inconsistent, definitely not worth the money paid for him. Fabian Washington has been even more inconsistent. Walker... too easy.
Now, did you guys see how well Lardarius Webb played? This guy can tackle, can run side by side with the receiver, he can play. I think we should give him a shot at starting, I've said this before and read it numerous times, he can't be worse than out other CBs.
yamota November 11th, 2009, 09:36 PM Wizards are starting to suck again. Man, that's a shame too, the season started out so promising beating the Dallas Mavericks and all, but now, back to el-sucko wizards of last season.
Man, that's just what we needed around here, another local sports team that SUCKS! Wizards SUCK - Redskins SUCK - United SUCKS - Nationals SUCK - Capitals are not sucking right now, but nobody cares about the NHL around here anyway.
Gsol November 12th, 2009, 03:29 PM He's been inconsistent, definitely not worth the money paid for him. Fabian Washington has been even more inconsistent. Walker... too easy.

We will take the win, but that effort won't go very far against Indy.
rockin'.baltimorean November 17th, 2009, 12:02 PM ^^we gotta' have hope, micrip. the only way we can make the playoffs at this point is winning out at this point. we're only 1 game behind pittsburgh for 2nd place in the afc north.
bengals are for real this year, though......no doubt. i doubted them the first time they beat us, but they're clearly in the driver's seat in our division.
Gsol November 17th, 2009, 03:36 PM It is my imagination, that play-by-play team on ESPN seemed quite partial to cleveland? The thrust of the coverage was what the Browns needed to do to win and what a great QB Brady Quinn is. I believe it was Gruden who said he went to Notre Dame's campus to feel thre Atmosphere Brady Quinn must have felt there, he threw water on the football (what was that about?). And for a little bit more zinging of the Ravens, how many times did they note the Ravens were formerly the Browns. Never mentioned that the Colts once played in Baltomre and snuck out under darkness in a snowstorm. They even praised the wonderful football history in Cleveland. Now I believe the host city should get some acclaim, but when calling a game on network TV it can't be from the perspective of one team over the other.
All that aside the Ravens have plenty areas that they need to shore up if they hope to play a 17th, 18th, etc game. First as the NY Times notes are "the silly penalties", this has plagued them all season and they can't seem to control it. The score should have been 20-0, but Hauschka can't kick even a 26 yd FG, nor the extra point. Finally the offense seemed completly out of sync., they had to waste two time outs early in the first quarter. They looked like a high school team, that needed coaching on evening getting the formations correct. They are luckly Cleveland is such a pathetic team, any other football would have demolished then last night. The only thing Cleveland had going for them were the TV guys. Even they hopped off the badwagon in the closing minutes of this dismal display.
Exrexnotex November 17th, 2009, 11:59 PM ^^ I agree with you, Gsol. The MNF crew seemed quite enamored with the Browns and even more with Brady (the bad one). How about some love for our Ravens, eh?
The truth of the matter is the offense needs to get its act together. They need to drink some of that 5 hour energy shots. As for our defense, I'm still nervous about a secondary because they weren't really tested Monday night. Peyton Manning is coming to town, so they better be more than ready. You know Addai will be kept under control so it's gonna be an airshow.
On an unrelated note, I died a little when Sunday night one of the NBC announcers said: "And now, to give the Colts the lead: Stover" I've never thought I'd hear that sentence.
And Hey, Hauschka got cut! Sorry kid, perhaps it's not your fault entirely but this is the NFL.
yamota November 18th, 2009, 02:18 AM My favorite line from last night's game was Jon Gruden saying "If the baltimore ravens wore their throwback uniform, they'd be the Cleveland Browns!" I thought that was hilarious!
Gsol November 18th, 2009, 08:22 PM Why? I can't figure out Vegas bettors. How can the Ravens be favored when they are inconsistent, heavily penalized, so-so offense, didn't look to hot Monday night (against one of the worst in the NFL) and a 5-4 record? The Colts are undefeated with one of the NFL's premier QBs. The only thing I figure is defense, but we are rated #12; no longer top dog in that category either.
micrip November 21st, 2009, 07:48 AM There is a chance that the entire Colts starting secondary could be out injured for the game...at least 2 will be, according to the Sun. That should give Flacco opportunities downfield and could be factoring into the odds.^^
StevenW November 21st, 2009, 03:14 PM My favorite line from last night's game was Jon Gruden saying "If the baltimore ravens wore their throwback uniform, they'd be the Cleveland Browns!" I thought that was hilarious!
Yeah, poor cleveland. they had wait a few years for their team/logo/name/legacy/history to return. how long was it for baltimore, again? a long damn time. and they did not get their rightful name returned to them with their logo/name/legacy/history. now that's fair. so, in truth, baltimore's throwback uniform would be the old horseshoe. that's what should have been a counter-comment made by one of the other announcers of that game.
oh, yeah, i love the way the baltimore colts snuck out of the city at night.
cleveland knew their team was leaving a long time before baltimore was announced as the destination. poor cleveland, they have an nfl team, mlb team AND an nba team. they have a dramatic skyline and the rock-n-roll hall of fame. poor, poor cleveland. and let's not even mention their local dive of an amusement park called 'cedar point' i think. they really have it so bad. if only they had at least a couple superstar athletes to showcase the city and it's fame.... oh yeah! they have shaq and lebron! poor, pitiful cleveland. let's all have a pitty=party for them.
rockin'.baltimorean November 22nd, 2009, 01:45 AM i agree with gsol....how in the hell are we favored? something's not adding up. lol

Gsol November 22nd, 2009, 11:55 PM This was a game we could have won. In fact we gave the game to the Colts. Flacco should not have passed in field goal range with 2:30 left. That was costly. Then with ~30 sec. left Reed gets to return, he should have run out of bounds, let Flacco try and get the ball up filed for Condiff to kick a FG. That was dumb play. Then to top it off he tosses the ball and is picked. What stupidity. Also Harbaugh wasted a valuable time out challenging the placement. A lot of mistakes of judgement made late in a close game. Good thing the Steelers were beaten, now we have to beat them twice to have a shot at the post season.
Its great having a fair number of other relocated Baltimoreans in NYC. All the games were on in the sports bar I went to, the Ravens had the largest contingent next to the Giants fans. If we had one more fan, the sound would have been on the Ravens game, and the Giants fans would have watched with no sound. With all the beer and shots I still felt the sting of defeat.
micrip November 23rd, 2009, 12:05 AM I think it's over. It will require winning out, beating the Steelers twice. Ain't gonna happen. Today's game mirrors the season to date...dumb mistakes that give the game to the opponent. Harbaugh really brain farted...so did Reed...and another critical field goal miss, although I like Cundiff far better than Hauschka. What was more glaring was not scoring from the 1...a TD there would have made a huge difference.
StevenW November 23rd, 2009, 12:14 AM ^^ I agree. I believe it's over for them. Dumb mistakes and crucial missed opportunities.
rockin'.baltimorean November 23rd, 2009, 12:31 AM micrip is right. we pretty much have to run the table and win every game from this point on.:ohno:
Balmurfan November 23rd, 2009, 03:42 AM ^^ Not a chance!!!!!
StevenW November 23rd, 2009, 04:15 AM nope. because the ravens will keep making the same dumb mistakes and keep making the same blown opportunities.
this year, anyway, it's the raven's way of playing.
and just think, at the start of the season most of us thought this ravens team would go all the way. whooops!  :bash:
Exrexnotex November 23rd, 2009, 05:06 AM Our defense has made adjustments over the last few games; to hold the colts to 17 points, they did their job. Mistakes and penalties will always be part of the game. We've also made adjustments on those (pass interference, for example) so I don't think it's all lost for the Ravens.
Our offense is out of sync right now. Our offensive line started strong, but as of lately, it's been shaky, not so much with giving Joe time to throw but opening up holes for Rice and McClain. I also think that Washington should play more downs. Clayton has been a non-factor. Flacco also needs to be more accurate. To be fair, the guy doesn't really have the best of weapons.
I don't think our season is over. We have to beat the steelers, though, if we want to stay in the wild card mix. One way of showing support for your team is not burying them until they are dead. We are not dead!

I don't see how we can get in the playoffs unless the Ravens run the table. Winning 10 games might not be enough. But even winning five out of six is a tough order. Three very tough games remain, the Steelers twice and the Packers. We are fortunate that the Bengels and Steelers lost yesterday. Pittsburgh looks more beatable now than in the past several years, if only the Ravens offense can turn it up a notch. NO MORE LATERALS. If Reed would have just gone out of bounds (I think he was around the 30) we would of had a chance at two plays to get the ball into field goal range. Reed had a zero chance of getting the ball into the end zone by lateraling it down there. That was plain stupidity.
StevenW November 23rd, 2009, 04:36 PM ^^ Yeah, he was trying, in desperation no less, to create the "big play" that wins the game!

...yeah I can't be quite as critical of Reed as I was of the rest of the errors. He was just trying to make something happen. Even if it had not been dropped, it was a FORWARD lateral, so they would have lost yards on the penalty. It would have taken a miracle to get into field goal range and make the kick.

Well, we moved up to #8. I want to point out in that game, with seconds left, Houston moved the ball to about the 34 in two plays (I believe) to have a shot at a 49-yard field goal. Their kicker missed, but they had the opportunity.
CharmCityTech November 24th, 2009, 04:51 PM ^^Kickers will make or break you, as we painfully are familiar with this year...:ohno:. I hope the Ravens F.O. bring Grahm Gano back in this offseason(hes currently with the Las Vegas Locomotives-CFL) to compete for the kicking job for the long haul. I think Billy Cundiff is just a band-aid to cover up the biggest blooper Harbaugh has made in his young coaching career...:bash:
Exrexnotex November 24th, 2009, 06:01 PM ^^ if he couldn't convert field goals in preseason, what makes you think he'll make them in real games and pressure situations? I think Cundiff (sp?) is doing ok, depending on performance on the reamaining games, I say give him a chance.
CharmCityTech November 24th, 2009, 06:35 PM maybe , but the organization was prepared to deal with going through some growing pains in order to sure up the kicking position for the long term. Gano was the most highly prospected kicker coming out of the '09 draft. The 'competition' was barely won by hauschka and clearly he didnt prove himself. That doesnt mean another rookie will follow his footsteps.. Its worth a shot, theres a reason the organization wanted to move on with stover.. he was no longer reliable at certain ranges and they needed to carry another kicker for kickoffs.. so the need needs to be addressed sooner or later with a long term option. rookies are coachable... Dont get me wrong, Im glad Cundiff has had a great start with this team and hopefully he can do the job as long as we need him to, but dont think hes our future at the position..There a reason he was watching the NFL from his couch until last week..

Supposedly. I think it'll come down to how Cundiff performs the rest of the season. If we bring back Stover, we would still need another kicker, though.
StevenW November 25th, 2009, 04:41 AM true. Stover isn't young anymore.

rockin'.baltimorean November 30th, 2009, 03:58 AM 14-7 @ the half....
guys, look for dennis to throw more in the 2nd half. i'm sure tomlin probably thinks that he can expose our secondary.
micrip November 30th, 2009, 07:35 AM Well guys definately the most exciting game to watch this year...if not the last couple years. A win against the Steelers is satisfying, even though they were not at full strength, but then again, neither are the Ravens.
The Ravens live to fight another day. Still gotta run the table though. Green Bay next. Folks around here of a certain age will remember the Colts-Packers rivalry. At least we are visiting Lambeau before winter really sets in.
rockin'.baltimorean November 30th, 2009, 01:04 PM very very very exciting game last night!
however, overall, i wasn't happy with the ravens' effort. a third-string quarterback is never supposed to have as much time to find an open reciever as dennis dixon did (time and time again!). i think we got lucky last night. we're definitely going to need a better effort against aaron rodgers & the packers.
StevenW November 30th, 2009, 01:47 PM ^^ True, but the ravens have played like this most of the season against 1st strings, 2nd strings, too. I'm just glad we are tied with the steelers now. We are in the win column today!  :)
Gsol November 30th, 2009, 03:20 PM Great win by the Ravens. The offense was a bit shaky at times, but the ravens did enough to win. I give Dennis Dixon credit on his debut. He can up in a very difficut situation on network TV in Baltimore against a fierce rival. But the important thing is that the Ravens punched their ticket on the train ride toward the post season.
One observation I'd like to point out. At the end of regulation the Ravens had the ball within Cundriff's range inside of a minute to play. I think they should have protected that position and keep the ball on the ground, just try to advance the ball closer. Instead Flacco attempted to throw to Heap, a penalty on the play moved them back beyond field goal range, then they moved up and Flacco got sacked. I though that was foolish play calling. Just protect the field goal position and go for the win. The Ravens were lucky in OT, the team that wins the toss wins the game something like 60% of the time.
Exrexnotex November 30th, 2009, 09:46 PM Well, that was close. Closer than I thought it would be. We got the win, which is the most important. That third string QB played better than expected the first half. Second half, he was erratic on most throws and the only good play was that TD run. I don't know if I should give credit to the Steeler's OL or bash our pass rush...
And how well did Webb play, huh? I'm glad he got the chance to start, he did a good job (better than F.Washington)
Also,I think I saw more shots of big dumb ben than shots of the host city or the host's sidelines. What the fuck!? I know it was a big story him not playing but come on ... yeah, the shots of downtown were outdated, too. 100 Light St. still had the Legg logo on it.

Mason, I hate to break it to you, but thats not true. Divisional records only help within your division. In the case of the wildcard, it comes down to conference wins. That is why Jax is ahead of B'more in the standings.

Exrexnotex December 2nd, 2009, 01:11 AM Not rushing the passer hurts our secondary, we gotta find a way to put more pressure on the QB! If we win in Green Bay, we deserve to be in the playoffs. Well, at least the O's are tied for 1st!
Gsol December 8th, 2009, 03:36 PM The dumbest play that sealed the Ravens fate was late in the fourth quarter, score 17-14 GB. The Ravens get to the one-yard line (a gift by GB pentalty), first and one. Why in the Hell did Harbaugh call for a pass, that, of course, was intercepted? With calls like that how do you expect to be sucessful in the NFL? Just run the f'n ball in. The worst that could happen is a field goal for a tie. Better than risking a pick.
Dispite looking bad, the Ravens had a shot. GB didn't look to good either, giving the Ravens opportunities. GB is more penalized than the Ravens, and they were true to form, but so were the Ravens with the costy pass interference. They never learn. Hopefully they learn from these mistakes for next season.
hpal3 December 8th, 2009, 06:18 PM I am begining to think there is something in the drinking water around these parts. The Ravens, Redskins, Orioles, Nationals and The Terps all suck ass!!!:bash::ohno:
Exrexnotex December 8th, 2009, 10:34 PM Wow, so many flags; more flags than at the United Nations! how ugly! I was shocked to see Reed inactive but the poor guy had injuries in, like, 5 different body parts. Our secondary sucked! sucked! I know we pay some money for Foxworth-less- but this guy's gotta go. Webb and Reed are the only good players in our secondary. Is Walker related to someone in the organization (coach, owner, investor, etc) why is he still playing? Mr. Pass interference! Flacco sucked too, obviously something is wrong with him but I don't think a hurt Flacco gives us more of a chance to win than a healthy Smith. And what's funny is that we had a chance to win.
rockin'.baltimorean December 8th, 2009, 11:29 PM we're done. @ this point, redskins/ravens are simply playing for pride...
Exrexnotex December 8th, 2009, 11:36 PM I think the Redskins should play for draft. At this point, they might as well lose all of their games and get a high draft pick.
The Ravens: though, they still have a chance, they are not playoff worthy. All I say is beat Pittsburgh and you better fix that secondary for next season.
Scba December 8th, 2009, 11:36 PM Other than the bad INTs, I blame the weak offensive scheme and playbook for the issues this year. Someone needs to start squeezing Cameron's nuts until he adds a few more pages to the book, or injects some of the life that last year's offense had. There's nothing but draw plays and play-action out routes right now.

Washington replaces kicker after costly miss vs. Saints, bring in ex-Raven
ASHBURN, Va. - The chip-shot miss against the New Orleans Saints has cost Washington Redskins kicker Shaun Suisham his job.
Suisham was cut Tuesday by the Redskins, who replaced him with Graham Gano from the United Football League.
Suisham made his first 13 field-goal attempts this year, but he had vital misses from 39 and 50 yards against Dallas three games ago and was wide right Sunday on a 23-yarder that would have sealed a victory against the unbeaten Saints. New Orleans rallied to win 33-30 in overtime.
Gano kicked the winning field goal in overtime for the Las Vegas Locomotives in the first UFL title game last month. He is from Florida State and spent training camp with the Ravens.

D.E.L.Soul December 13th, 2009, 11:38 PM Great game... we need to play the Lions every week:cheers:

The bad side is that Miami won, so they are still tied with the Ravens. Cincinnati lost, too. So the Ravens have not been mathematically eliminated from the division title...yet.

here we are, fellas! down the stretch they come!! lol
5. Denver 8-5

Gsol December 14th, 2009, 03:32 PM Jacksonville should loose to the Colts Thursday night. But I was watching NBC's pregame show last night where they were speculating whether the Colts would choose to rest their top players. Tony Dunge believes that they will. Its more important to have your A team healthy for the playoffs than win meaningless games. The Colts already clinched everything including home field advantage. Having a perfect season doesn't mean as much to the Colts as having its team in top shape for the playoffs. Of course there is a down side to this theory. The playoffs don't start, for the Colts until mid January, so their players may be a bit rusty. Some players require being on the field to maintain their mental and physical alertness.
So we'll see what happens. Hopefully the Colts' B team can still beat the Jags. (I still think we'll see some Manning, Addai, Clark, Wayne and company) And, hopefully the Ravens bring the same team out on Sunday that so effectively handled the Lions yesterday.
Exrexnotex December 14th, 2009, 07:51 PM We needed Miami to beat Jacksonville. I just heard on ESPN that Indy's coach is going to play all healthy starters, that should take care of the Jaguars. We need to run the table, period. Pittsburgh represents the biggest obstacle and it's gonna be tough but we can do it.
Baby Ray is a machine!!
rockin'.baltimorean December 15th, 2009, 01:25 AM ^^rice turns can turn a simple 3-yard gain into a "how in the hell did he do that?" 16-yard play for a first down. the guy's unbelievable.

...agreed. But what one hand giveth, the other taketh away, unfortunately. I believe the Ravens hold the tiebreaker over the Dolphins, though.
yamota December 18th, 2009, 01:06 AM Vinny Cerrato has resigned! Merry Christmas! :D
Scba December 18th, 2009, 06:04 AM Game this Sunday could be fun, considering that I think I just saw more than a foot of snow forecast for Baltimore on Saturday.
GrayMatter December 18th, 2009, 07:08 AM Please vote for Baltimore to be of the host cities if the USA wins the bid for the 2018 FIFA World Cup

StevenW December 19th, 2009, 05:04 AM Yep! I think we may have a very legitimate chance of winning these last three games. 10 and 6 would be great. I think the Ravens may actually make the playoffs. One game at a time, though. Let's go get chicago out of the way first. :D
rockin'.baltimorean December 20th, 2009, 10:25 PM it's lookin' good for ravens fans!!!!!!!!!!!!:okay:
miami dolphins and the new york jets lost today, so a win today would give us some breathing room....
Balmurfan December 21st, 2009, 03:01 AM Great victory, but it would have been nice to watch it! It's the second week in a row the game wasn't televised!
We have to continue the dominant play in order to get in the playoffs! Next week is going to be tough, so nothing less than an A+ game will do! With that said... Let's Go RAVENS!
rockin'.baltimorean December 21st, 2009, 03:34 AM packers lost to the steelers on the last play of the game. we really needed that steelers loss....

...huh? It was on Channel 45. Since it was an NFC game, it was on Fox, not CBS. I did miss about 5 minutes of the game last week before I realized I had the wrong channel.
I guess the Ravens will need to take care of their own business and beat Pittsburg next week then!^^
rockin'.baltimorean December 21st, 2009, 11:25 AM ^^yeah, we must win next week. the only teams below the line who play each other next week is houston vs. miami..

I reside in Western Maryland, and we couldn't get it through our great cable company... Have no idea why. :bash: :bash: :bash:
