INCH Kenneth Kajang Rubber plc said it has won approval to build mixed development projects on all of its plantation land.

It wants to develop 142ha of land, located 5km from Kajang, into a township with properties worth RM1.5 billion, it said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday.

"(It is) located within the new highways in the Southern Corridor namely the Lebuhraya Kajang Seremban, Kajang Bypass, Sistem Lingkaran Luar Kajang and Kajang-Semenyih Dual Carriageway," it said.

It also plans to sell 243ha of land, located 2km from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, for RM300 million to raise funds for expansion.

"The proceeds of the sale will be partly used for expansion in its oil palm foray to Indonesia, Sabah and Sarawak," it said.

There are projects near the land which are for sale.

They are Taman Universiti, Bandar Seri Putra, Bandar Mahkota, Kolej Univesiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor, the new German Malaysia Institute and the soon to be launched Alam Sari.
