Two skyscrapers are proposed. One should be 104 metres high, the other a little bit lower. Investment - 63 millions of Litas for both of the scrapers (weirdly low). It's not the first time then something like this is planed in Kaunas, but earlier goverment or architects have blowed all the wishes out. This time the goverment has changed and the architects have approved the height of 96 metres. Maybe this time will be different ;) It would be the first skyscrapers in Kaunas. Yet no visualizations added, it is said that they would look lik X from above.

Maybe... Such a city like Kaunas can much more. To be honest both Vilnius and Klaipeda are kicking our ass at the moment by scale of the projects, but i'm sure in the future i'll be able to put here something that will surprise all of you ;) Let this thread be the little beginning. You can find some more here (http://www.miestai.net/forumas/showpost.php?p=193179&postcount=5). But still no renderings for the inside. The technical project have to be finished until the beginning of the next year so i think we will get some more detailed renderings till that time.

Nice to see some nice projects from my favourite city in Lietuva. :) Residental projects look classy. 1000 is crazy. :lol:

The idea is the easy style of the project. Broken forms should generate the play of light and shadows. Offices, apartments and public-dedicated buildings.

The apartments would be recursed to the Resurrection church. The lower floors would be raised for other buildings not to interrupt the panorama. Parking under the terrace and upon it.

Maybe you have heard about shopping mall in Kaunas called "Mega". It's >70.000 sq. m. in size. Now "Baltic shopping centers" is planning to expand the object with 20.000 sq. m. and 17.000 sq. m. respectively 8 and 6 floors buildings for bureaus and with 2.000 sq. m. sports and 1.000 sq. m. conference centers. Also 40.000 sq. m. parking place. This should be done by 2010.
