IRIGA City -- This year’s “Tinagba Festival” is seen to post P70 million in revenue for the city government, bettering the P60 million last year’s week-long festivities attended by nearly half a million foreign and local tourists.
At a conference last Thursday, Iriga Mayor Madelaine Alfelor Gazmen said that with the inclusion of the Davis Cup in the festivities on Feb. 10, 11, and 12, the projected revenue of P70 million is realizable as tourist arrivals are expected to increase by 35 percent from last year’s 15 percent.

one jesuit assigned at Sophia used to belong to the ateneo's departments of psychology and mathematics.

easy to get there. very efficient train system in tokyo. mahalon sanang marhay ang barakalon. but surely worth the visit! plan your visit in time for the sakura (cherry blossoms) season so that when you land in narita you'll be greeted by an ocean of sakura!
it's Wajira Nampet,SJ. after his serving as visiting prof in Harvard and Boston College he has gone to Sophia. hope fr waji goes back to the ateneo to teach.
let me know when you're going to tokyo. can give you tips. will do some work with migrants there mid-march to mid-april.

Fr Wajira Nampet,SJ. he is japanese by nationality but thai by citizenship. his family name is Watanabe (as in Ken W the actor!) but Thais jave a difficulty pronouncing the name so it has become Nampet! :)

They grow naturally Father but some are cultivated. It used to be grown for a meter only but the barangay council has prohibited the cutting of mangroves....And since then it has grown tremendously! :okay:

Sy for winning the Regional Schools Press Conference First Place in Photojournalism English and the Most Outstanding Campus Journalist from Bicol (to be awarded as one of the outstanding campus journalists nationwide in Palawan). Congrats also to the other winners from Pisay.
I want to thank God , Pisay Bicol and the dedicated adviser Sir Jerry Mirabel Noveno(who is also the First Runner Up Outstanding School Paper Adviser) and their coaches and judges who helped hone Kendra's skills in journalism.
With Jules as the Outstanding Campus Journalist for Elementary and Kendra for High School, it is a historical back-back win for siblings in the history of Philippine Presscon.

PILI, Camarines Sur—Camarines Sur Gov. Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte has ordered tree-planting stepped up in a 30-hectare patch of forest ravaged by charcoal-making in Presentacion, Camarines Sur, where the governor said 7,500 trees had been planted initially.
