Whew! Wala nang tourist accommodations sa Caramoan na available by April for 150 guests na ibinubook ko sana :gaah:

I'm still contacting Bosdak Island...Wala ng choice baka sa isla na lang kami magpalipas....walang aircon..open cottages ang andun..:D

Naka-check in na daw kasi mga staffs and crew ng Survivor USA :banana::banana::banana:

I talked to the Mom of the artist doing the sculptures for the survivors being
shot in Caramoan and his son was again contracted to do the props for the USA edition.

Survivor USA soul apparently be shooting for 8 months for two seasons.

Their family owns Caramoan Tribe Inn. Check out their Facebook page.

that's the title of the current season which was filmed in Samoa, South Pacific. It was entitled One World because this is the first time that the two different tribes are living together in one camp. :)

Interviewed yesterday Mr. Philip Torres, retired John Gokongwei (JG) Summit consultant after working for 14 years and also the founder of the Meralco Foundation.

I ask of him of the proposed Robinsons Place in Naga.

Here's what I got.

He smiled and told me. The Robinsons Mall investment which is just a part of the multi billion JG Summit Corporation which includes Universal Robina, Cebu Pacific, etc. will make a strong presence this year in the Bicol Region. I ask him again if he at least give me a hint of the location of the proposed Robinsons Mall in Bicol but still got no concrete response from him. But one good thing is that, all the information that we've discussed in this thread especially the person (acquaintance of Doc) who's responsible in the dealings of acquisition of the lot in Almeda I've mentioned in my brief interview with him are all factual and thus leading to one concrete conclusion that as what doc said "we'll be expecting Robinsons presence at the soonest".

This area is a regular passage way for small boats. During low tide, the water completely drains to reveal a sandbar with powdery like sand.

The low tide only lasted for a couple of hours and by the time we were leaving, the area was submerged again.

Caramoan has numerous islands and islets, some of them are uninhabited to this date. In this regard, the Survivor franchise has occuppied a couple of islands for their reality show.

I was in Nato beach for a little R&R and i brought my camera with me to capture some interesting moments, this is one of them. I had to wake up early to capture this beautiful sunrise.

Nato Beach is in Sangay, Camarines Sur. It is tucked in the little coastal town of Sangay. People in this area are very warm and accomodating.

Siruma special polls set
President Benigno S. Aquino III ordered the deputization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to assist the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the holding of a special election in the coastal town of Siruma, Camarines Sur, on March 10.

The Comelec provincial office said that by virtue of Memorandum Order No. 32 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito N. A bill has been filed at the Senate converting 26 national hospitals supervised by the Health department into state-owned corporations in a bid to facilitate partnerships with private businesses for better health care.

Sen. Franklin M. Drilon filed Senate Bill (SB) 3130 seeking the conversion of the following government-run hospitals into Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs):

Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Veterans Regional Hospital, Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center, Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center, Region I Medical Center, Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center, Jose B. Lingad Memorial Medical Center.

Batangas Regional Hospital, Bicol Medical Center in Naga City, Bicol Research Training and Teaching Hospital in Legaspi City, Quirino Memorial Medical Center, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Rizal Medical Center, Amang Rodriguez Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital.

Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center, Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Western Visayas Medical Center, Northern Mindanao Medical Center, Southern Philippines Medical Center.

Zamboanga City Medical Center, Cotabato Regional and Medical Center, CARAGA Regional Hospital, Davao Regional Hopital, and Mayor Hiilarion A. Ramiro, Sr. Regional Training and Teaching Hospital.

Their corporate restructuring will “institute reforms in the organization, administration and financial management of national hospitals as a means of reducing the cost and improving the quality of public health care,” the bill read.

Under SB 3130, these hospitals would be allowed to engage in private-public partnerships (PPP). Moreover, the measure said they can put their money into government guaranteed bonds and securities.

These hospitals would, likewise, be permitted to borrow funds from local and foreign sources.

In addition, they could enter into contracts with any or local entities to undertake hospital operation like equipment acquisition and provision of services.

Given the availability of new funding sources, the bill notes that the hospitals could then provide and maintain affordable, quality and modern hospital care; ensure development of hospital facilities into modern medical centers; train its physicians, nurses and medical technicians, as well as other personnel; and engage in scientific research on the prevention of diseases, the bill said.

Each of the restructured hospitals may not use any of its income “to augment salaries and other compensation of hospital personnel beyond amounts determined by the Governance Commission for Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GCG), as provided for in RA (Republic Act) 10149” or the GOCC Governance Act of 2011, it added.

These hospitals, moreover, “shall be exempt from the payment of taxes on all contribution thereto and all accruals on its income and investment earnings,” SB 3130 read.

In addition, “[a]ny donation, contribution, bequest, subsidy or financial aid made to it (sic) shall constitute allowable deduction from the income of the donor... [but] shall be exempt from donor’s tax subject to conditions as provided for in the National Internal Revenue Code,” it read further.

Meanwhile, each of the restructured hospital will have its own board of trustees which include the Department of Health (DoH) Secretary, Undersecretary for Operations Cluster or Assistant Secretary, Regional Director, three members of the private sector and the medical center’s director.

Training On Skills for Enhancement for Tiwi Comtrade

The Ateneo de Naga University - Center for Local Governance (Adnu-CLG) in partnership with the Department of Interior and Local Government - Regional Office V (DILG-RO V) conducted a training-workshop on Skills Enhancement of the Tiwi ComTrade Center last February 23-25, 2012 at Naga Regent Hotel, Naga City.

The activity was designed to equip the TIWI ComTrade (Community Trading and Development Center), Project Management Office of LGU-Tiwi, Albay with the necessary technical skills and knowledge in order for them to be able to craft and prepare a Business Operations Manual.

Dr. Malu C. Barcillano served as the trainer for the 3-day training-workshop. She started the session by discussing the processes in organization and some strategies in operations management. Strategic planning was covered during the workshop thru an interactive lecture of the StratPlan Model. Strategic execution and evaluation was also highlighted during the activity wherein participants actively engaged in raising questions during the open forum.

CLG Sponsors Lecture-Discussion on CJ Corona`s Impeachment Trial

The Ateneo de Naga University - Center for Local Governance (AdNU-CLG) in cooperation with the Ateneo de Naga Supreme Student Government (AdNU-SSG) sponsored a Lecture-Discussion on the Implications of Chief Justice Renato Corona`s Impeachment Trial to the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of the Philippine Government during the Alternative Class Program. With its title “CJ CORONA on TRIAL: Patungo ba sa Tuwid na Daan?”, curious college students attended the activity at the CLG training room last February 22, 2012.

Atty. Avelino V. Sales, Jr., who was very eager to share his perspective about the issue, served as the resource speaker on the lecture-discussion. He highlighted points on the background of the Impeachment Trial and its real implications to the three branches of the government. He focused on the impact of the issue to the judiciary and identified some damages done to the integrity of the judiciary. His lecture made a significant insight to the students since many are not fully aware of the on-going Impeachment Trial.

This is very true. A very large tarpaulin has been on display there for the information of everybody.

You can still push through your plans in Caramoan but you won't be able to hop on some islands. Caramoan has still other islands like Manlawi and etc. which are open to public. Don't also forget to tell your motorized banca captain to drop by Aguirangan Island off the coast of Presentacion. With its white sands, you'll truly enjoy swimming there. :cheers::cheers::cheers:

Your relatives could try spelunking @ Tabgon and go to Caglago to have a view of caramoan islands. There are other activities.
