the incident happens one evening in their convent in Paris, France.

the shrine/ park is maintained by the Universidad de Sta Isabel. it should be around 60 yrs old, at least. i've seen very old photos of it.

Pili and Canaman are alternative choices for subdivisions. Lots of them are already being developed.... Subdivision should really be developed in Pili and Canaman while condominiums should be in Naga.

There were buses coming from St. Dominic College of Asia touring here in Naga plus another bus from Mariano National High School, Urdaneta City also touring around the city and province.

I saw them getting in the Moraville Hotel, maybe they will take a breakfast there before going to other itineraries in Naga and CamSur.

Chick Boy Centro, Abenson's Puregold, Mang Inasal Puregold, Puregold Centro, Bicol Cardiology Diagnostic Center, NICC Doctors' Hospital, Bicol Access Health Centrum Phase 2, Hotel Sogo, 7- Eleven Roxas Ave., DECA Business Center, LandBank Panganiban Drive, China Bank Savings- Panganiban Drive, Metrobank Roxas Ave., and Samsung SM City Naga.

We would also be seing signs going up very soon for the following businesses; McDonald's

So far, the most reliable first hand info that I got about Robinson's Place Naga if from one of the Robinson's Supermarket Naga Head. Yes, they were already

Manila - Naga and Vice versa buses leaves about 9 p.m: 8 hours P800 - P1000
Naga - Sabang bus: 2 hours P58 (the bus doesn't take you all the way to Sabang port. We had to ride a trike for 8 km. P40/head or P20/head for the single)
Naga - Sabang van: 1 hour P100 (Still not sure where's the terminal)
Sabang port to Guijalo: 2 hours P120/head
Guijalo port to town: 15 minutes or so P100 for special trip

GETTING INTO CARAMOAN FROM METRO MANILA

The trip starts in the evening at around 8:30pm to 9:00pm from Cubao Bus Terminal. The first step is to get to Naga City(or Pili Airport if you fly). The trip would take about 8 hours so it’s not advisable to travel with an empty stomach. From Naga City Central Bus Terminal the next direction is to go to Sabang Port by taking either an aircon van (Filcab) or jeepney. Travel would be a litte over 1hr and the fare is 100 pesos. Then from Sabang Port off to Caramoan Guijalo Port by taking a boat ride for almost 2hours at 120 pesos fare.

It’s your option to catch a bus from Cubao Bus Terminal that goes straight to Caramoan via NATO Port (instead of Sabang Port) in Naga. Penafrancia bus fare is 850 pesos and this excludes RORO vessel regular fee of 150 pesos (or higher if you take the aircon accommodation of the vessel) and there’s another 15 pesos for the town fee.
If you missed to take your breakfast, no worries, the vessel has a small canteen that serves cup noodles at an instant for 30 pesos! And if your mobile phone battery is almost dying you can sneak at the TV outlet near the canteen with no questions asked.

Motorized boats are the primary transportation to/from Caramoan Island

We actually anticipated for boats docked near the beach where passengers are to be carried atop the shoulder of the porter. The scene was different, probably because it's high tide that boats can dock and take passengers in the main port itself which is on the other side and opposite of the beach.

Guijalo Port, Caramoan

The town center or "Centro" of Caramoan is 20 minutes from Guijalo Port. You can rent a habal-habal, tricycle or multicab depending on the number of persons in your group. In our case, Kuya Boknoy has already arranged a tricycle under RiverView Vacation Inn Caramoan where we were staying.

Guijalo Port

Reaching Guijalo Sometimes it comes so low tide does,passengers are "ferried" out of the boat to the "pier" by small un-motorized bancas (de-sagwan).

From Guijalo, a tortuous land travel takes you to Centro (Caramoan's town proper). Not bad for a 15-minute bumpy and dusty ride - which could be worse when it rains. Take another 15-20 minutes of the same adventure to reach the shores of Paniman or Gota where motorized bancas take you to any of the islands of your choice!

At Guijalo port at last! The trip from Sabang took about 2 hours. By this time, we were practically vibrating with excitement. We arrived with the water low enough for us to cross directly from our boat. Apparently, when it’s high tide, passengers will have to ride a canoe from the boat to get to the port.

Here's Sabang Port. Can't get any basic than that. We didn't have to wait long. The boats schedules are hourly from 5:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. From Naga, you take another bus or jeep that takes another 2 hours. On our way back we took the van that only took a little less than hour. We didn't know you can ride a van or where it was at the bus terminal. I'm sure you can asked any of the more helpful people at the bus terminal to point you at the right direction.

Caramoan Paradise

Caramoan is composed of 49 barangays located in the province of Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines. It is situated on the southernmost tip of Luzon area. Caramoan was once called “Guta de Leche” by Dutch traders who operated a gold mine in Lahuy Island. The name was derived from the milkdrop stalagmites found in the rocks of Guta Port. And when the Spaniards came, Caramoan was called “Carahan” for the numerous sea turtles found along the sea shores of the Peninsula.

Sabitang Laya is a triangular island that has two of the longest beaches in Caramoan, each located on the opposite sides of the island that are separated by rock formations forming its apex. Caramoan Peninsula is a hilly peninsula, with deep gorges and a rough, rocky terrain, located in north-east Camarines Sur, in the Bicol region. The place has a national park which has caves, limestone formations, white sandy beaches, an islet lake and a subterranean river. Survivor France and Israel shot entire seasons in some of the islets. It is accessible by public transport from the town of Caramoan, and islets can be reached by outrigger boats from Bikal port.

ISLAND HOPPING

This is the highlight of every itinerary why people visit Caramoan–to go island hopping. If you’re not in a tour package or if your travel to this place is quite unplanned, you can simply negotiate some fisherfolks in the coastal area of Bikal or brgy. Paniman for a motorized banca and ask the boatmen to guide you to the islands. The rent varies but it should range from short trip Php 1,500 pesos and Php 2,500 for a long Trip tour. It is best to have prior idea about these islands.

Lahus Island or Bichara Island is one of the islands at the Caramoan Peninsula. It is supposedly "owned" by the Bicharas, an affluent political family in Bicol. I don't know how someone can own an island in the Philippines---do you buy it from the government? The island is actually a sandbar connecting two rugged limestone formations. During the rainy season, according to our boatman, most of the sandbar disappears, leaving a strip of fine white sand in the middle of the two rocky mountains where waves meet.

We attempted to dock on the shore but there was somebody signaling us to move on. Apparently, Survivor was being shot there and it was closed to the public. So I contented myself with taking some photos and feasting my eyes on this slice of paradise.

Just a short boat ride away from Matukad, Lahos Island is another of Caramoan’s fast-becoming popular attractions. The island is composed of two major limestone clusters separated by a narrow piece of sloping white sand beach with jade-green waters on both sides. The sand isn’t as fine as Matukad’s but it’s still pinkish-white. What made this place interesting is that while the waters on the side of the beach facing the Caramoan mainland were serenely calm, a strong surf was pounding the the opposite side of the island facing the Pacific Ocean. Just as in Matukad, we had a lot of fun with our shoestring traveling friends swimming on both sides of the sandy beach.

We would also be seing signs going up very soon for the following businesses; McDonald's
Magsaysay, Jollibee Puregold, 7- Eleven Magsaysay and Eurotel Naga.

So far, the most reliable first hand info that I got about Robinson's Place Naga if from one of the Robinson's Supermarket Naga Head. Yes, they were already
informed that Robinson's Place Naga is coming soon and the good news is- they are not closing the supermarket branch in E- Mall.

Not long ago, people never heard of Caramoan. The peninsula gained popularity only after local travel shows picked up the name following the season teaser realeased by the reality game show “Survivor” shot in the islands. Since then, it has attracted local and foreign travellers alike.

The ordeal of a 10-hour bus ride from Manila or even just the one-hour plane ride to Naga plus a combination of land and sea travel that last for four hours create an atmosphere of adventure full of possible challenges à la Survivor.

Hike up the steep cliff to view the secret lagoon and the full glory of Matukad island. There is a lone giant milkfish living at the lagoon. Locals say the enchanted animal cannot and has never been captured on photo.

Caramoan peninsula is located at the eastern part of Camarines Sur facing Catanduanes. The coastal portions are accessible by land in the dry season but one has to use a 4x4 vehicle to traverse the rough roads of the hilly interior. Otherwise you take a two-hour boat ride from Sabang port to the town of Caramoan. The Caramoan National Park has caves, waterfalls, an islet lake, a subterranean river and a ruggedly beautiful coastline with white sandy beaches, limestone karst formations, serene lagoons and clusters of islands. A multitude of activities await visitors such as island hopping, snorkeling, diving, trekking, rock-climbing, kayaking, camping and spelunking. It was the coastline with its beaches, lagoons and islands that we came to explore during my tour

The rock structure made it easier for us to climb up the cliff without a specialized harness. True enough after a successful climb we saw right before our eyes that mysterious milkfish freely swimming to and from one side of the lagoon. According me the milkfish has lived there for many years now yet it never grow big at all. He even wondered how the fish get into the lagoon where there’s no direct access from the sea coast. I was lucky to take a picture & witness this living creature. (lesson: don’t catch fish to extinction in a pond when you know that there’s enough in the sea!)

We first learned about the Caramoan Peninsula in Camarines Sur through an international travel guide book sometime around 2003 or 2004 when it was largely unknown to local tourists. The travel book described a rugged, pristine and beautiful landscape so remote it was only accessible by boat. (Funny why it seems foreigners are always the first to know about such tourists spots in your own country.) Caramoan burst into the scene in 2008 when it was selected as that year’s site for Koh Lanta - the French version of the reality television series Survivor. Since then it has increasingly become a favorite destination for local and international visitors alike.

First Up Rabbit Stew - rabbit recipe

The Easy Way to cook rabbit
Ingredients

A couple of Rabbits
Olive Oil
Garlic, Onions and Chillies (if you like it HOT)
Root Vegetables Carrots Swede Potatoes or any other root veg you have
A couple of pints of chicken stock
Salt and Pepper to taste

Method

Remove Lungs Heart Liver Kidneys (use those for more stock or discard).

Joint the Rabbits into back legs front legs and saddle cut the saddle in to two pieces discard the rib cage (or use for stock).

Chop the root vegetables into large chunks. Not the potatoes that comes later.

Start heating the chicken stock ..bring it to the boil and turn down to a very slow simmer.

Using a heavy based frying pan sweat the garlic (crush and chop it) onions (roughly chop them) and chillies (finely chop them) in a liberal splash of olive oil..once tender transfer to a heavy based stew pot.

Turn up the heat on the frying pan, add another liberal splash of olive oil, seal the rabbit joints in the frying pan.
(Don't go overboard on the frying just enough to give a nice light brown colour).

Once sealed transfer the Rabbit joints to the stew pot pour the hot chicken stock over the rabbit.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Add the chopped root vegetables bring the whole lot back up to the boil.
Turn down the heat to a low simmer stir the stew, cover and leave to simmer for about an hour.
Then add the potatoes (cubed) bring the stew back up to a slow simmer stir it and leave for about another three quarters of an hour or until the potatoes are tender.

Serve with crusty bread and green vegetables.
I also find a good bottle of Claret helps the whole lot down.
