Hi guys! Sorry for not being active these two months. I had to focus on our business. Anyway, here's some updates.

Engr. Boy Aman's haciendas de naga will be relaunched, this time anchored on new amenities at the adjacent haciendas adventure park. We'll have 100-m, 200-m, and 400-m ziplines, rappelling, and wall climbing. The level 3 shooting range has 13 ranges.

Here are some pictures. Test zipline runs will be on March 20. Can't wait!

Yep agree garz, but somehow they looked cheap though, they were trying to make it looked like tiles or bricks when you can obviously see that they just drew lines on the red cement. I remember the time, don't know about your age, but when I was in high school during the reign of or robredo they used white marble blocks for the pedestrian crossing for elegance and clever way of avoiding repainting them time and again. My Suba ngani kadto na mayo na daa mapagastosan ang naga ta ultimo crossing marble pa. Off course I do appreciate the effort of the city regarding that, but it's just falling short on its trying to achieve of reviving the old centre.

What's the next car dealer to put up here in Naga?

Robinsons Place Naga will be the name, I presume. It's always like that, unless it'll be a town mall, e.g. Robinsons Town Mall Los Baños. The one in Los Baños is the only one of its kind though. Every other Robinsons mall is called Robinsons Place. :)

She is even recruiting her to join the Naga group.

Robinson’s Naga Supermarket Manager whom I talked to few weeks ago said the they were already told by the Management that Naga would be having a full scale Robinson’s Mall in 2013 and assured them that they are not closing the Robinson’s Supermarket in Centro.

So far aside from dumping- I do not see other signs yet.

But it’s a positive sign.

So far aside from dumping- I do not see other signs yet.

But it’s a positive sign.

Also, a senior consultant of JG Summit whom I interviewed last week in Manila verified all the details and concluded that Robinsons "will have a strong presence here in Bicol starting this year"

There has been no official word about Robinson’s Naga from company itself. Our three main sources of information are very reliable but they do not represent the company.

Mr. EFM, of RLC (I mentioned his name in my past posts and given his number to some of the SSC Forumers when they were scouting for a lot in Naga City) said that they already turned over the property to Robinson’s Mall. Whatever they will do with it is up to for that division. But he was very specific when I talked to him a month ago “Pag dinumpingan na ‘yan at binakuran ng light brown GI Sheet- tuloy tuloy na ‘yan.”

They are now dumping, but I don’t see the fences yet. Let’s wait and see for a few more weeks (or months?)

The Robinsons AVP for Mall Operations was the former Pacific Mall Manager has already revealed to a kababayan and a kabarkada RR (Pacific Mall Head accountant, I also mentioned her name in my previous posts) that Robinson’s Naga is scheduled for 2013. She is even recruiting her to join the Naga group.

In the meanwhile, what is there to do (for two hours) before the mall opens? I have witnessed a long queue of people wanting to enter the mall during the fiesta... we were very surprised but happy to note that everyone seemed patient. The entrances at the back of the mall were not crowed at all.:)

After a dramatic opening event at the Namotu World Paddle Challenge in Fiji at the end of 2011, the Stand Up World Racing Series will kick off its first event of 2012 in style, in the magnificent town of San Jose in the Philippines, for the CamSur World Paddle Challenge.

The CamSur World Paddle Challenge to set the standard
The CamSur World Paddle Challenge will be the next major step for the Stand Up World Series in 2012, featuring its trademark sprint racing elimination format and a long distance challenge that will complete the World Series program.

This will be the first Prime event of the season featuring the $20,000 prize purse and will set the standard for the year to come as athletes will battle it out for the glory, the points and the cash.

The event will also feature the now well celebrated Na Kama Kai kids clinic, providing a unique opportunity to the local kids in San Jose to benefit from an unforgettable experience in the company of the World's best Stand Up Paddlers, an example set by Founder of Na Kama Kai Duane DeSoto with his ongoing efforts in Hawaii and beyond.

With its world renowned cable park, CamSur has already established itself as a focal point for watersports in Asia. Stand Up World Series event classification & points



The Stand Up World Series provides a professional competitive platform for the world's best Stand Up Paddle Racers to determine the legitimate Men's, Women's and U16 World Champions as a result of a WQS Series that spans the globe, and will culminate in the World Championship Finals at Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu in October (www.turtlebaysurf.com).

Events are classified according to their prize purse, with the following event classifications:

Prime: US$20k or more
5 Star: US$15k or more
4 Star: US$10k or more
3 Star: US$5k or more

Prime events will garner the most points, with the points calculated relative to the level of the event and final placings. Event points will be determined from athletes' overall result, in both sprint and long distance. More info will be posted this week on www.standupworldseries.com, inclusive of detailed racing rules, guidelines and other event information.

Ranking, qualification process, board class and more

Athletes' best 3 results from the Series will count towards their overall ranking, making it possible for region specific qualification for the World Championship Finals and a truly global field of competitors.

The World Qualifying Class will be a rudderless 12'6, and while many World Series races will have their events open to multiple classes, the qualifying Class will be 12'6 across the board, to create a uniform one board event and allow athletes to travel with their boards rather than face unsurmountable shipping charges to travel to events.

The Top 200 men and Top 50 women will qualify for the World Championship Finals at Turtle Bay Resort, whittling it down to the very best of the best competing on Oahu's legendary North Shore from the 12th - 14th October 2012.

Haven't tried IMAX nor the 3D movies at SM, I'm not a moviegoer :lol:

With the opening of Puregold, I'm sure Bichara will also step into some improvements. Notice that our very own Shoppers Mall after decades of slumber we were surprized that the building is now having a major makeover.

So, expect a domino effect once Puregold invades the centro proper.

Robertson Centro is 3 floors, if you include the grocery section that would be 4 floors. Thus, Puregold Centro is bigger than Puregold Diversion.

Shoppers Mall would not make any comment about their plans. Lets wait it would be another surprise. :).
It's true the " Domino effect" of other groceries nearby, specially Puregold prices are really low. I just hope our traditional businesses can compete in technology and customer service.

Today with Francis na TV show sa GNN before, hosted by Atty. Francis Padua Papica, now on GMA Life TV International Airing, signed a 1 season contract (4 months),... :)

Francis Padua Papica would be a possible contender for Governor or Congressman in the future.

It's good to know the Penafrancia Resort is still operational. Very memorable place. The owner of Penafrancia Resort is a family of Bicolano-Batangueno decent. Palarong Bikol kicks off in Camarines Sur
NAGA CITY, March 12 (PIA) -- A grand parade around the main thoroughfares of this city yesterday afternoon marked the opening of Palarong Bikol 2012 as the regional sports competition signaled the official start of various sports events happening from March 12-17 at the Metro Naga Sports Complex and other designated playing areas in the city.

Nation of small savers
WITH only six branches since it was organized in July 2009, BanKo, the microfinance joint venture of three Ayala companies, has attracted more than 20,000 depositors.

It is now processing the deposit applications of many more thousands coursed through its 1,500 outlets composed of pawnshops, drugstores, money changers, and other facilities.

Alejandro Almendras, assistant vice president of BanKo, said the number of outlets can increase to close to 3,000 after the agreements with Tambunting Pawnshop, which has 600 branches, and Generika, a retail drugstore with 270 outlets, are finalized.

BanKo has found a way of encouraging small people to save by accepting amounts as little as P50 in initial deposits.

The micro bank has removed the perception of small people that depositing in banks is for the big boys who have money in the millions.

After the number of branches increases to 11 and the outlets increase to 3,000, the number of depositor clients is expected to increase more rapidly than it did in the past three years.
