Just got home after a late night dinner along Magsaysay with representatives of Microsoft Philippines and they were amazed that Naga has its very own gimick strip. Dining has become a bit time consuming due to overcrowded restos and we have to wait for empty tables good enough for 20 persons. Parking area is also another problem along Magsaysay especially on weekends. With the near opening of Jollibee and Mcdo at Magsaysay, expect another wave of traffic and parking area woes.

An employee of AMA Manila disclosed that indeed AMA will construct its new campus in Naga to rival STI new campus. As to the location, within CBD2.

when i was a kid.. nag iba ako kina mama sa field trip ninda.. going to Gibahoy island.. parang ang drop off mi kadto si from Tamban... during that time Gibahoy still has no electricity.. pero there's one house na may generator for all.. i can't forget that trip.. it was stormy and kaibahan ni mama si mga estudyante nya, plus me in that motorized boat wheww as in big waves tapos maduros and mauran pa.. but still with prayers we still arrived safely

a day after, we visited an island na white beach din.. i can't forget getting plenty of sea shells of different kinds, that i kept sa display rack mi, if only i can remember kung anong isla ito :lol: even my mom forgot the name :lol:

Yes, Guibahoy is part of North Lagonoy. It is not an island actually. It is connected to the mainland. Today, it is one of the biggest schools in Lagonoy North. It has now electricity but you will still hike for a less than kilometer before you reach the barangay proper.

The islands that you might have visited are parts of Garchitorena as Lagonoy North has no white sand islands and it consists only of 1 island and 2 islets. Mapid has white sand but it is a barangay peninsula.

I dunuh if the partnership of Mariners Panganiban and the City to improve the Civic Center materialized. The plan is that the City run Youth Center and Hostel will be managed by the BSHRM of Mariners and also make the entire compound of the Civic Center with hotel like services.

I'm not sure but it might not materialize. If the hotel that Mariners thinks of putting up pushes through, then there won't be any need for their BS HRM course to go to the Youth Center and Hostel for internship or practicum.

But if their main objective is to just at least maintain the deteriorating Youth Center and Hostel, it might happen. Hopefully, it won't be further ignored by the City Government.

Yes, Guibahoy is part of North Lagonoy. It is not an island actually. It is connected to the mainland. Today, it is one of the biggest schools in Lagonoy North. It has now electricity but you will still hike for a less than kilometer before you reach the barangay proper.

The islands that you might have visited are parts of Garchitorena as Lagonoy North has no white sand islands and it consists only of 1 island and 2 islets. Mapid has white sand but it is a barangay peninsula.

Notice it too padre. Before, Bicolmail website is simultaneously updated together with its weekly release during Friday, for almost a month now, it took 3 or more days for its website to be updated, is it because their sales are affected?

Bought my very 1st issue of Bicolmail issue (December 20004) and from then on I started collecting their newspaper until the advent of their website, I've opted to just read online.

Same experience for me in Manila. Pero before sa Naga, nagbayad ako once. Mayo sakong tinaong card, pero may resibo na pigtao sako. Dai man nawara si Internet after one hour though.

Kidding aside, our PNR can be like that even in just 10 years...

SM would definitely expand once Robinson's opens. It wouldn't let go of the tenants that are on queue at SM City Naga, waiting for an available space to open.

SM initially allotted a certain percentage of the mall to local tenants so a lot of Manila based tenants were displaced including Starbucks, Yellow Cab, Pancake house which initially put up soon to open signs in 2009.

After 2 years some tenants, mostly local based started closing shops and replaced by those on queue. Local tenants are given two years contract and reviewed by the mall for renewal. Once
approved the tenant have the option to renew.

First to go were Aspe Pawnshop and Colonial Grill. The pawnshop being off zone and located near the entertainment area was given to a Korea bAsed 4D Max Rider, the Colonial Grill was given to Manila based Auntie Anne's Famous Double Fried Chicken.

Next to go was Beanbag which opted to transfer to a smaller space near the Cinema, and also being off zone was given to Tribal Gear.

Twin Frost also did not renew their contract. It was replaced by Sanuk.

Maldita, the only non- local store that closed (more of a franchisee decision as they also own the Plains and Prints franchise as they feel it was a competing brand) was replaced by Von Dutch.

The last to go was a local computer shop at the the cyberzone and replaced by Samsung.

As I noted, Naga I believe is becoming brand conscious that the way to go here is by franchising an already known brand.

SM City Naga, despite the closures never runs out of tenants as the queue for those intending to do business in the mall is kilometric.

The statement from the SM South Luzon Executive I tslked to was clear- they would expand only if Robinson's Naga an SM Legazpi materializes.

Otherwise- they have no competitors and potential tenants would continue to queue to do business in Bicol only SM Mall.

And the list of those in line is so impressive that one would really wish that they open their shops soon. But without SM expansion they will have to wait for others to close shop before they could do business in Naga.:lol:

Robinsons, SM and Ayala, what more could we ask for?

Why not? It won't ruin it's beauty. As long as the project conforms with the requirements, well-implemented, and does not jeopardize the environment I guess it's okay.

This is what i've learned from my mom being an environmentalist. Once you build something in a place it will always have an effect to the environment, the ecosystem is distrubed.

I like Caramoan the way it is. It's a haven for adventure best kept in CamSur.

I'm not against hotels and tourism per se, we might be enjoying it today and the effect is not seen today, but in the future.
