Libmanan is not yet qualified due to its population requirement....Libmanan would be the biggest city, if ever, in terms of land area I think...

Pili has already filed for cityhood...

Goa has a problem with its land area requirement.

By the way, have you guys already visited Hinulid yesterday? Thousands of people last night trek to Hinulid....Half of the lane was occupied by the devotees going to hinulid ...

i know of a big group of male college who walked the Hinulid Way from the Cathedral all the way to the shrine.

it`s always a good experience even to see the pilgrims, many of whom are young people, making the long walk. also moving to see some residents along the way offering free refreshments -- panata (devotion/ vow), according to them.

Ive been there in Duang Niog during my NGO days, remembered we came down from the highway towards the barangay proper. We were interviewing families regarding livelihood projects, when I was suddenly warned that several nice people were sighted at the foot of tancong vaca and heading towards the barangay, with no hesitation we left like the wind. Those were the days , pretty sure things have calmed down now.

I have loads of friends in Libmanan fondly called by us as "Lebanon", nice to know that the place is catching up economically. It would be a shame if nothing happens considering the number of barangays and resources.

for those who do not have so many days in their sked atulayan island is a good alternative. pwedeng balikan lang (one-day visit).

This is only the second time I experience the transition of threads :)



I just hope the City have a masterplan for uppertown development in Naga. Residential, resort, themed parks, golf course, retreat houses are best suited for the upper barangays of Naga City.


Certainly, Naga could not have won those international and national awards without a masterplan.

If i remember it right, Naga's development plan for the upper barangays is geared towards tourism related industries. It's happening now albeit slowly. May be Naga needs the brain of an El Rey. Can Naga give El Rey a chance?:nuts:

^^I would say, let Gov. Lray stay in CamSur.. CamSur needs more of him than Naga does :D

Mayor Bongat can do it.. Look at what he's doing to Naga right now. He's more focused on beautification coupled with proper planning. :okay:

The former Naga City Public Library fronting Plaza Rizal is now undergoing clearing. If I'm not mistaken, former occupants of the building is a body builders gym and a few notary public offices.

We have various museums in the City but none so far caters solely on the rich history of the City.

That would be great, but i think being at the heart of CBD I and strategic. BPO would be an ideal( since Convergy's didn't pursue the LCC negotiation). Well the best way is to ask the city government( coz they owned it ). They can only answer our query. What i really like to see if the local government will try to rehabilitate the former OLD GSIS.

Agree! Naga is home to so many medical facilities that you don't need to go to Manila anymore to avail of superb medical assistance from excellent medical practitioners!

When is the target completion of this hospital?

I', excited for so many constructions going on in Naga. Nagaboom!:banana::banana::banana:

Take note that those pictures are mostly in the CBD2 and Magsaysay Area. We still have lots of construction happening at barangays stiuated on the west part of the City which includes Liboton, Bagumbayan Norte and Sur, Queborac..etc..etc..

With all these developments that have been taking place in Naga in the last decade, certainly I will have difficulty recognizing the old city I knew from the new Naga. :ohno:

That is one reason when I refused to work in Manila the first time. I was saying i want to work in Naga and to be in Naga everybody to witness its development that was then shaping the city under the leadership of Mayor Jess. Unfortunately, conjugal bond would later on command my uncharted divorce from Naga and my personal desire. No regrets however. We're blessed with 3 lovely kids plus the experience to be an OFW. Not everybody is given that chance on a silver platter.:)

But through you guys, somehow I am still able to follow each development from over seas.:)
