But I don't think they'd put a mall there. Masyado harayo. I read somewhere that there are 3 Ls to consider when putting up a business -- location, location and location. :D

I was cautioned not to reveal too much because it creates the so-called "artificial inflation" and affects our local players. Its better for us to wait once those businesses start here in Naga. :cheers:
Also, Sir Lancelot Cafe (what an odd name :nuts:) at Mayon Avenue just opened yesterday.

Far for now but near in the future.. Huge Developments are better to sprout in that area. Location wise, it would be best so as not to congest CBD 2 too much. Besides, the area is a gateway to Naga which means more people coming from the south can easily visit the mall anytime.

I don't think it's proper to relocate the jail to las casas. first of all the building loses its history if you take it away from its original site. also, las casas is situated near the sea where buildings are more prone to weathering and deterioration. if the resort owner's primary goal is really to preserve those buildings, why put them there?
good point, fred. :cheers:

probably the ruins of the hospital de san lazaro of nueva caceres.
Sometime around 1586, the infirmary which was first set up in Camalig was transferred Naga adjoining the Franciscan church. This came to be called as the Hospital de San Lazaro which was later transferred to Palestina.
A ranch donated on the 13 September 1625 by a generous Spanish Couple named Sargento Mayor Antonio Luis Bezerra and Doņa Josefa Arias Giron existed near the convent. This was the source of income for the infirmary.

in on the operations here of highly mobile offenders, the local government and the business sector in this city have organized an anti-crime approach that will give the riding in tandem criminals a hard time perpetrating their operations.
Dubbed as the Iriga City Anti Motorcycle Riding in Tandem Patrol or I-CAMP, the law enforcement tactic intends to neutralize the rogues’ activities thru the deployment of motorcycle riding in tandem cops assisted by civilian volunteers.
PSupt. Rizalito G. Gapas, officer in charge of Iriga City PNP, said the police force multipliers are composed of members of different motorcycle riders’ organizations in the city and motorcycle-riding payment collectors of micro-finance enterprises.
Information Technology (IT) entrepreneur Ronald Felix Alfelor who worked along with the city government and the local police in promoting the anti-crime campaign said a bandwagon effect on the campaign should be achieved to obtain significant results.

Benefits of the Mangrove Tree
Mangroves provide many benefits to man and the marine environment.
Mangrove wetlands provide breeding, nursery and feeding areas for a great variety of life, including endangered and threatened species.
Mangroves also filter upland run off.
mangroves play an important role in controlling erosion and protecting coastlines.
Mangroves buffer wave action during intense tropical storms (including hurricanes).
Mangroves hold soil during periods of heavy precipitation stabilizing shoreline sediments.

This seventy (70) hectare lowland irrigated and upland area was established in September 16,1960 through R.A 2080 also known as the “Million Rice and Corn Program.” The primarily objective is to develop and promote the industry of crops and livestock, culture management, crop protection, as well as farming system and its socio-economic relation to the region.
In 1983, BEST was designated as the center for the Regional Integrated Agricultural Research System (RIARS) under the Agricultural Research Office (ARO), now known as the Bureau of Agricultural Research of Department of Agriculture.
Today, research activities carried out at the BEST are relevant, timely and responsive to the needs of its clients.

Components of CARD’s Microfinance Program
CARD’s microfinance program consists of four major components, each being equally important: credit programs, savings mobilization, micro-insurance and credit with education.
1. Credit Programs. Our credit program is designed to provide financial assistance to microenterprises which do not possesses the credit-worthiness that regular banks look for before extending a loan. By providing loans to these small businesses which our members undertake, we give these poor people an opportunity save and build up their own capital, thereby enhancing their credit-worthiness.a. Sikap 1 Loan: This is given to finance micro-enterprises. This may be extended to finance larger business investments.
b. Sikap 2 Loan: This is extended to address the consumption needs of the clients. Members may avail loans amounting to Php 2,000 in the first cycle, and may increase the loan amount by Php 1,000 in every succeeding cycle.
c. Small Business Loan (SBL). It is structured with a view to help the small entrepreneurs and support the businesses of rural, semi rural and urban areas where SBL could have direct impact on employment creation and production process. Given the limitations of technology and resources of CARD, it is not possible to suddenly initiate large schemes or projects and hence, alternatively, the option is to provide financial support a large number of small entrepreneurs and businessmen through provision of loans to increase production, income and employment generation. d. Agri-Microfinance Program (AMFP). As the CARD MRI expands nationally, it wants to harness its success in microfinance to serve the needs of smallholder agriculture (SHA). It is a loan program that fits agriculture-based client’s needs such as those who are directly involved with agriculture and agriculture related businesses.
e. Agri-Microfinance Program for the Indigenous People (IPs). This loan product is named SIKAP 3 loan for the IPs. It is the extension of CARD’s Agri-Microfinance Program to the IPs which aims to:
provide additional capital for agriculture and agri-related business in the IP areas with affordable interest rate and suitable payment scheme;
facilitate more developed, enhanced and sustainable agricultural production and agri-related business in the IP areas for generation of more income;
open more job opportunities both for farmers and farm workers;
provide IP women with access to savings and microinsurance services.
2. Flexible Capital Build Up (CBU) CARD subscribes to the view that the poor can save. The Center Fund (CF) represents the members’ CBU. The amount of CBU deposit per week is Php50 and the member can withdraw twice a month. The members have to maintain savings balance which is not lower than 15% hold out/balance of the loan amount which serve as the guarantee for loan because the loans are non-collateralized.
3. Micro Insurance (please refer to CARD-MBA for details)
4. Credit with Education (CwE) For a long time since its inception in CARD, Credit with Education (CwE) proved to be a powerful tool in instilling credit discipline among its member. Anchored by CMDI, CwE, includes modules on health and health insurance, business, CARD products and services, microinsurance, and disaster preparedness.
5. Microfinance and Health Protection (MAHP) Program The Microfinance and Health Protection (MAHP) CARD’s response to the health needs of its members is the health protection service package developed through its MAHP Program which includes:
Health loan to cover the premium payment for health insurance or PhilHealth.
Credit with Education on health such as Dengue Prevention, Planning for Health, Using Health Services and Health Insurance.
Preferred Provider Network Program a partnership with local health providers to offer discounted health services to members and their dependents.
Access to cheaper medicines – with this health protection package, CARD aims for a healthy membership base.
With the technical support from FFH, CARD will make every reasonable effort to reach at least 5,000 CARD members to avail the health protection package/s that CARD will offer.

paghuna ko bagong lodging house sa Naga. su delegation palan yan kan mga Mason :lol:
bobbymay74 May 6th, 2012, 02:48 PM That's right! Let's support the local mall first before going to manila-based malls. Kaya pigbabalanse ko muna, ano ang mayo sa LCC or E-mall na yaon sa SM and vice versa...If the three malls have the products that I'm looking for, I go for either LCC or E-Mall..
:okay: So that the cash flow will not leave the province, than those from Manila base stores, they tend to withdraw out of the province. Did you know that SM City applied to open on Naga City around 2004, but the Mayor had it extended, in-order that local department stores will not be affected and be prepared before they open.

Sports bar is a popular hang out in Manila.
garzland May 6th, 2012, 03:36 PM yeah, if you observed the riverbanks there lots of trees on the side of barangay San Francisco, but on the other side, not much
What I want is lined trees not just trees all over....
hakz2007 May 6th, 2012, 03:36 PM ^^ano bang klaseng sports bar ang pwede mong i-suggest, Pres.? :D
hakz2007 May 6th, 2012, 03:37 PM What I want is lined trees not just trees all over....

Sports bar is not suited in CBD 1; instead, it should be in Magsaysay since it is the entertainment center of Naga.

7-Eleven projected to have at least a maximum of 15 stores in Naga City along. They said Cebu City maximum target stores is 20.

Yes, pading hakz! Very pleasing to look at...
Just look at the riverbanks in other countries... That's what I want also to be done here.

The work of Evangelization in Milaor began in 1579 when the Franciscan missionaries came to the Philippines upon the order of Pope Sixtus V and King Philip II, and given specific assignment to work in Bicol Region. In 1585, Milaor was declared a parish under the titular patron, Saint Joseph. The first parish administrator was Fray Matias de Andrade, OFM., who arrived in Bikol in 1582 and later became the fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Nueva Caceres.

:lol: I think we have a sports bar before here in Naga. I like the concept of National Sports Grill in Makati.

15 stores for a small city is so much compared to Cebu's 20...:nuts:
What could be their criteria why 7-eleven invests so much like that for a small city as compared to cebu? Cebu needs probably 5o stores, if I were the investor.
bobbymay74 May 6th, 2012, 03:43 PM Also, trees must be planted along the riverbanks.
The problem is the plan to construct river walk , they will have to cut this trees to give way to the park.
