garycooper May 19th, 2009, 09:28 AM Yeah, I know what it is... but I never played like that in my childhood days.
Albe theater? I'd never seen that since I was born... What year was that?
Blumenttrit today is not that commercialized, it's actually more residential rather than commercial.
Albe Theatre was popular during the fifties and sixties and maybe up to the seventies. I really do not know when it was shutdown. Albe features all Tagalog movies especially those of FPJ and Erap.:)

garzland May 19th, 2009, 09:31 AM ^^Yup, 'tol. It's only the high school department. The college department is in the original campus near Metro Naga Cathedral which is 10-15-minute ride from the high school campus.
bonixx May 19th, 2009, 09:33 AM ^^ah magkalayo pala ,napakalaki pala ng Ateneo dyan sa Naga...Great for Naga and Bicol...

yup, sinarapan is the tagalog term while tabios is local. Sinarapan from root word "sarap" which refers to the fishing net using in catching those small fishes.

most of those lovely old churches can be seen along the highway when go to partido area ... I just wondered masyadong relihiyoso ata ang mga ninuno natin guys sa Partido dba po magkakadikit lang yan mga bayan na yan .... pero lahat sila may mga sariling simbahan..!!
There is also an Aglipayan Church in Lagonoy and a church ruin?

PILI, Camarines Sur, May 18 (PNA) -- A suspected New People's Army (NPA) leader was slain in a clash with government troopers in a remote village in Lagonoy town in Camarines Sur on Sunday, a Philippine Army officer said Monday.
Killed was only identified as Ka Elmer, an NPA leader in charge of the movements revolutionary taxation group operating in the fourth district of Camarines Sur.
Army Maj. Gen Ruperto Pabustan, 9th Infantry Division commander, said the clash between a band of communist rebels, led by Ka Elmer, and Army soldiers of the 42nd Infantry Battalion was the result of a tip from villagers about the presence of NPA rebels extorting money and goods from residents of Barangay San Isidro in Lagonoy, Camarines Sur.
Pabustan, quoting reports, said Army troopers responding to the call from villagers engaged the communist rebels to a brief running gun battle that resulted to the killing of Ka Elmer.
The clash took place at about 10:30AM Sunday at the vicinity of Barangay San Isidro wherein the rebels where on their way to another neighboring village for their extortion activities.
Soldiers recovered from the battle scene an 9mm pistol and a .45 caliber handgun from the slain NPA leader.
Caught by surprise, the band of NPA rebels immediately fled after seeing their leader killed at the first volley of gun fire from the soldiers.
Pabustan said reinforcing soldiers have set out road blocks and are scouring the area for the rebels' possible hideout.
The body of the slain NPA leader was brought to the town's police station for proper identity and disposition.

Yes, definitely it's very feasible and the best location is no other than Magsaysay. European tourists would be the market of this.

Then we can use that strategy also for eco-tourism. From there in Lake Buhi going to the settlements of Aetas. Tourists will get to experience and witness the way of life of the Aetas.

bobbymay74 May 19th, 2009, 10:55 AM When I was a kid, we used to go to Naga where my father was working then. We were staying at a house along Blumetritt St. and the back of it was the Bicol River. I had a lot of playmates there and our games included "baragsyatan". You know what this is? Sa Legazpi an hapod mi kaini "ralastikohan"" We also played at the riverbank with "buduke" where we made it into toy guns and other creatures like those being sold in the churchyard of Tiwi. Nice to reminisce my young days in Naga. I used to watch movies in Alex, Albe and Bichara theatres.
How's Blumenttrit today? I guess it is also now commercialized being a stone throw from Panganiban.
:lol: That's good to recall. You have a good memory. Baragsyatan is the same ralastikohan using the rubber. Rarely you can see kids play that anymore.
BTW, Albe was demolished, I don't know exactly what year, but it was at the front of Moraville Hotel now, at present a blank area, which "For Lease or For Sale".
Blumentritt St. isn't that active or not much commercial activity only a number of buildings established just near panganiban St., but the center to the Colgante Bridge isn't that Industrialize or commercialize. Not much new house in that area. I really don't know why. I know lots of Legazpenous did work here before the regional Government transfer in Legazpi or even working in a privite companies. Got to go again. :)

Yes, in fact my father was one of the pioneers of the Naga Coca-Cola Plant. A lot of its pioneer employees were from Legazpi because the initial hirings were done in Legazpi as it was initially planned to be set up there. I wasn't born yet when the plant was set up though.:) But as I previously mentioned, they met a lot of problems in acquiring the plant site in Legazpi so they decided to go to Naga. It was a great loss for Legazpi and tremendous gain for Naga.

Working in partnership with the GMA Kapuso Foundation, the team went to the barangays of San Roque Madawon, Salvacion Que Gatos, Sta Barbara and San Esteban all in Nabua, Camarines Sur to distribute food packs to residents there where some were found on bancas and on rooftops as the flood waters reached chest level. The displaced residents of said barangays were truly grateful for the display of concern by the governor as food supply was their primary concern since water level still needed to recede to safely find food.

Amazing race
FIRST PERSON By Alex Magno Updated May 19, 2009 12:00 AM
http://www.philstar.com/NewPhilstar/www/image/columnistPhotos/Alex-Magno.jpg
Cloud Nine is what they call that portion of Siargao’s coastline most favored by surfers from all over the world.
There is a small debate over how that strip of shoreline got its name.
Surigao del Norte’s tireless governor Ace Barbers submits anecdotal evidence. He says hardcore surfers from Australia and Germany, the first pilgrims to this beach, would sit on the shore the whole day waiting for the right waves to happen. While at it, they would consume nothing but Cloud Nine chocolate bars to keep their energy level up.
My son, Alay, who knows a bit more about the surf than I do, offers another interpretation. He says that, in surfers’ lingo, Cloud Nine refers to that perfect wave that curls up in the shape of, well, a 9. That sort of wave thrills surfers, allowing them to ride alongside it and under the crest.
They say Siargao has the best waves in the world. I am entirely unqualified to confirm that. My idea of extreme physical exertion these days is doing 18 holes of golf without a cart. These days, pushing a heavy surfboard out to sea is simply too much of a chore.
Cloud Nine is lined with small “resorts”, mostly owned by foreigners who have fallen hopelessly in love with this place. Ace Barbers took us up the crude boardwalk to the edge of the coral bed. From there, surfing contests are judged. Last week, the international women’s surfing championship was held here.
It took quite a while to convince the foreign surfing devotees who owned houses on the beach to even build this boardwalk. It appears they want the place to be as raw as it always has been. There is not even a decent road leading up to Cloud Nine, only a dirt path that is sometimes as wavy as the sea.
It is also expensive to build infrastructure here. Siargao is a coral reef and is, in the main, marshland. Sand for road-building must be imported from Surigao City.
Siargao, which is quickly becoming a Mecca for professional surfers from all over the world, is a much larger island than I originally imagined. It has nine municipalities constituting a congressional district. All year round, tourists come here to ride the waves.
Yet, there is not a single ATM machine on the island and the 9,000 public employees here have to take the long boat trip to Surigao City to collect their pay. Once, a mayor who made the crossing died in a sea accident, taking with him the millions in payroll money his town’s employees were earnestly expecting. Little wonder, loan sharks make brisk business in an island with neither the physical nor financial infrastructure to seize its opportunities.
If you want to know what is holding back our great tourism potential, go to Siargao — and weep.
On the island, there is debate between the ecotourism hardliners and mainstream tourism planners over whether or not roads should even be built. The debate goes on even as tourist arrivals increase by 100 percent year-on-year.
Then there is that infernal curse on our nation’s development: local politics. Contending factions get in each other’s way, acquiring court injunctions on the plans of their rivals. Consequently, there is a monkey wrench thrown into every initiative.
My friends refuse to believe it, but I was in Siargao for work. Among the great pleasures of doing development banking is that we are obliged to go out and plant our heels in the mud — or, in this case, the sand.
Last week, the DBP launched the fourth edition of the Ro-ro Amazing Race from Siargao Island. The race, which offers the winning team P1 million in prize money, intends to call public attention to the benefits of a more cost-efficient inter-island logistics system that the Bank has been financing for close to a decade now.
That race, with all the physical challenges one could possibly imagine, follows the various routes of roll-on, roll-off (ro-ro) vessels from Mindanao to Luzon. From Siargao, the contestants follow the ro-ro routes to Surigao del Norte, then to Maasin, Leyte and then on to Camotes islands before landing in Danao, Cebu. This year’s contest winds up at the DBP’s Makati head office tomorrow afternoon.
The choice of Siargao is nearly obvious. It has the potential for drawing a bigger number of tourists than the smaller island of Boracay. But to accomplish that, it needs to put some basic infrastructure in place. Not every potential tourist plans to subsist in some wilderness on Cloud Nine chocolate bars and no cash service for weeks on end.
While in Siargao, the directors and senior officers of the DBP met with the local officials to hear out their concerns and offer support. We recounted to them the Bank’s experience with Gov. El-Ray Villafuerte in Camarines Sur. The governor came to us with a well-developed plan and we agreed to finance it. Today, only after a few years since that tourism development plan was started, Camarines Sur shot up to fourth place in our tourist destination rankings.
Adequate financing support could transform Siargao into another Boracay, minus all the ecological perils that magical island assumed in the early stages of its unplanned emergence. To do so, Siargao needs a good transport system, a reliable fresh water service and, possibly, its own eco-friendly power source.
In a word, this island of great potential needs strong development financing support.
Last week, we might have managed two amazing races. The first is an endurance race among physically fit participants stretching over seven days.
The second, more important one, is Siargao’s entry to the race to become a top tourist destination. That requires dedication and competence on the part of the island’s local officials. It is encouraging that two of the nine municipalities in the island have mayors who used to be Fil-Ams but elected to return home to help their island develop. Next week we will sit down with Ace Barbers to map out a strategy.

garzland May 20th, 2009, 02:20 AM Presidential assistant for Bicol urges LGUs to adopt CBMS (http://positivenewsmedia.net/am2/publish/Cities_And_Towns_23/Presidential_assistant_for_Bicol_urges_LGUs_to_adopt_CBMS.shtml)
By Ed G. Yu
NAGA CITY, May 20 (PNA) - Presidential Assistant for Bicol Tomasito Monzon called on local chief executives in the six provinces of the region to adopt the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to speed up the identification of the needed programs and services of their constituents so that national government agencies can effectively address the real needs of the people.
Monzon, who is the chairman of the Regional Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan Convergence Group (RKCG) in Bicol, said that through CBMS, the real extent and causes of poverty in a community are identified, making it easier for government agencies to come up with the right policies and programs to address the problem.
Monzon said that aside from being a tool for better governance, CBMS ensures that government projects and programs are delivered to the right beneficiaries and areas without political considerations.
Through CBMS, local government units (LGUs) can properly address and deliver services that would genuinely address the real needs of their constituents like roads, water system and others, Monzon said.
CBMS uses the 13 plus 1 core indicators that squarely address the basic human needs such as food, shelter, water, health, education, employment, and peace and order.
Along this line, the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Bicol (OPAB) and the RCKG member agencies have scheduled consultation meetings with LGUs in the Bicol region to strengthen the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team (LPRAT), which would answer the problem of poverty in the region.
Last April 14, Monzon led the RCKG in its first salvo of consultation in Masbate province. Similar dialogues in Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and Camarines Sur are slated in the coming weeks.
The LGUs of Minalabac in Camarines Sur, Libon in Albay, Labo in Camarines Norte, and Masbate City are the four leading local governments in Bicol that have adopted CBMS as a tool for better governance.
They presented their experiences and the benefits they derived from the adoption of CBMS to heads of RKCG-member agencies. The RKCG is composed of the National Economic Development Authority, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Agriculture, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Education, Technical Education and Skills Development Agency, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army and others.
Let’s join hands to fight poverty in the region. We should strengthen the LPRAT in every town by the use of CBMS to come up with a poverty reduction framework that would bring progress and prosperity for Bicolanos, Monzon said.
He also appealed to local government officials to work together to “take Bicol out the rank of the poorest regions in the country. (PNA)

Even the other stores, staff always greet their customers with smiles. They never get tired of doing so - only at SM!
Other malls in the city also practice this kind of courtesy but not as active as those at SM. This is one great way of enticing customers; thus, staff should be trained well in this aspect.

Naga City - (March 29) A Bikolano made it to the top ten among the passers of the 2007 Bar Examination held last September at the De la Salle University in Manila. Atty. John Michael Galauran was ranked fifth in the recent Bar Examination given by the Supreme Court with an average grade of 81.09 percent.
Galauran, who received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC), said he did not expect to be at the top ten of the bar passers. He stated that he found the examination really difficult and was just hoping to pass the exams as an ordinary law student.
“Para sakuya okey lang na makapasar sana sa exam asin dae ko na pighagad na makabali pa sa top ten kaya ogma ako na maging number five sa bar,” Atty. Galauran revealed.
Other bar passers from UNC are Imee Estrada Abardo, Michael Abundabar, Ismael Albao, Francis Bitara, Jo Aileen Cabiles, Marwin Cortizano, Amando Cura, Emilio Esquita, Jocery Fabi, Armeen Alain Gomez, Mary Ann Legarto, Rene Cornello Morano, Paulino Moreno, Janice Orbita, Alex Alberto Popanes, Art Teoxon, Gerald Toriano and Carlo Villanueva Jr.
Atty. Galauran is already married and has two children. He is the second of the six children of Adelio and Paz Galauran who are presently residing in Las Piñas, Manila. Currently a professor at Colegio de Sta. Monica in Las Piñas, Galauran resided in Villa Sorabella here in Naga City before transferring to Las Piñas.
Retired Judge and Dean of the College of Law of UNC David Naval related to Vox Bikol that the fifth place position of Atty. Galauran is very significant because he was also the fifth placer in his bar examinations; moreover, presently this is the fifth year of his stint as the dean of the College of Law.

akosijamir May 20th, 2009, 06:30 AM What's skim boarding? And how is it different from wakeboarding?
As I see it they're just the same...
Skimboarding (or skimming) is a
boardsport in which a skimboard (a sort of little surfboard)
is used to ride on an incoming wave. Unlike surfing,
skimboarding begins on the beach, with the skimboarder
running and dropping their board onto the thin wash
of previous waves. They use their momentum to 'skim'
out to breaking waves, which they then catch back into
shore in a manner similar to surfing. Another aspect of
skimboarding is 'flatland' which involves performing more
skateboard orientated tricks such as ollies and shuv-its
on the wash of waves without catching shorebreaks.
Wakeboarding is a surface water sport
which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a
body of water behind a boat or Cable System .
It was developed through a combination of water skiing,
snowboarding and surfing techniques.

MANILA, Philippines - There's something very odd about the Albay Astrodome, which hosted the aborted game between the Barangay Ginebra Kings and the Alaska Aces Saturday afternoon.
Days before the match, an advance party led by PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial flew to Albay to inspect the venue which had been refurbished by Mayor Noel Rosal, who was organizing the event. It had been years since the PBA played in Bicol and nobody knew the exact condition of the facilities there.
If I remember correctly, Legaspi and Naga also has a bit of a “jinxed” reputation, which did not make it a favorite site of the PBA.
There was a time when the PBA delegation had to fly back and forth to a province in Bicol thrice but on all three occasions, the plane could not land due to inclement weather.
I can’t remember if the planned match was ever played.
* * *
Further back in PBA history, I recall import Billy Ray Bates being involved in a barroom brawl when his Crispa team went to Bicol to play a game there. From what I remember, Billy was a bit disrespectful to one of the ladies in a cabaret and the locals didn’t like this.
Stones and various kinds of debris were thrown by the feuding parties and police had to step in and escort the Crispa import back to his hotel.
After the eruption of Mayon Volcano, the PBA no longer scheduled out-of-town trips to Bicol.
Until recently, when the very persuasive Mayor Rosal talked with Comissioner Sonny Barrios to invite the PBA to play in Albay.
Following the inspection, the Albay Astrodome was declared “playable,” in the words of Commissioner Barrios, and the PBA delegation was mobilized to make the trip.
* * *
The Ginebra Kings and the Alaska Aces needed to take the same flight to get to Albay. I don’t know if the two teams were in one plane but the important thing was they both got to Albay after an uneventful trip.
Last Friday, the Kings and the Aces did their workouts alternately at the Albay Astrodome without incident.
Saturday morning before the game, they returned for shooting drills. Everything was normal.
In the afternoon, no man could be happier than Mayor Rosal. It appeared as if the entire Albay province had turned out for the game. The Albay Astrodome was packed to the rafters.
However, after a few minutes of play, the cagers started slipping on the floor and the game had to be stopped. Curiously, with so many people inside, the gym became humid and the floor literally started to sweat.
* * *
“First, we tried the traditional remedy of dowsing the floor with cola drinks. Cases of soft drinks were poured on the floor, which we later scrubbed with is-is. Practically everybody was down on their knees scrubbing and wiping the floor, including the mayor, the referees, the spectators. Nobody left the gym,” said Willie.
After almost two hours of mopping, the players took the court again.
But again, after only a few minutes of play, the floor started to sweat, even more profusely than the players, making the surface dangerously slippery.
“This time we seriously considered canceling the game,” said Commissioner Barrios, who was monitoring the situation from Manila.
“After consulting with PBA chair Joaqui Trillo of Alaska and Ginebra governor Robert Non, everyone agreed that the safety of the players should not be compromised. We considered playing the following day, Sunday, but by this time, we knew that the condition would be the same,” said the commissioner.
Strangely, after all the people had left, the floor stopped sweating, said Willie.
If you ask me, there’s only one simple, though costly, solution to the problem.
Install an air-conditioner.

I wish it wouldn't happen to Naga City Coliseum. The city government has allotted for about a 100 million for this so I would assume that the coliseum would be at its best in terms of everything, considering the time and the amount that government has poured in. And by this time, they must have learned from the calamitous event happened in 2006 where the coliseum's trusses were blown by Typhoon Reming.

Probably built at around 1894 (including the main structure), the church's tilted bell tower has been likened to the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

^^i agree with this guyz! :okay:
Naga Boy May 20th, 2009, 04:25 PM Naga Boracay flights: Third person update.
We were at the Kumon AHSHR occasion this afternoon and got to talk with some Naga City Officials about the update of Naga- Boracay flights. This is has to be verified as the source is a friend of the PAL Express/AirPhil Manager.
The positive news: Direct Boracay- Bicol flights has been approved,
Now the negative news for CamSur but a definitely good news for Albay: PAL Express is favoring a Boracay Legazpi flight.
The reason?
PAL Express planes, although the same size as the of Cebu Pacific propeller planes has <50 passengers capacity due to bigger leg rooms as compared to latter of 70 passengers.
Since it is apparently an ATO ruling that flights bound for Naga should only be filled up to a maximum of 70% of the total capacity due to short runways- it would not be an economically feasible flight. That means it would only be carrying up to a maximum of <40 passengers with lightweight travelers or < 30 passengers with those carrying heavier luggages.
I'll try to verify this on Friday when I'm not very busy.
If this is true- then Sayang:ohno:.

I am a loyalty awardee of this university. I was educated here from Kindergarten to College.
When I was in Kinder and Grade 1, my mom used to excuse me from classes every Friday at 2 pm so that we could make it to the jeepney's last trip in Buhi going back to our house in Brgy. Cabatuan.
But when there's no available jeepney, we used to ride on a motor banca in Lake Buhi.
I still can't forget that great experience....
The other one is The University of Northeastern Philippines by the Alfelors.

The Archdiocese of Caceres is calling the yuppies in Camarines Sur to a whole day fellowship of “Remembering, Renewing, Sharing and Celebrating the Devotion to Ina” at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Minor Seminary on May 30, 2009 from 8:00 in the morning until 7:00 in the evening.
The fellowship, a project of the Peñafrancia Young Professionals (PYP), is offered to college graduates who are not more than 45 years, in preparation for the 2010 jubilee of the devotion to the Nuestra Señora de Peña de Francia.
The resource speakers of the encounter are equally the yuppies from the Caceres clergy: Rev. Frs. Rex Andrew Alarcon, Francis Tordilla and Andrew G. Recepcion.
The general objective of the fellowship is for these young professionals to be able to commit themselves to a deep devotion to Ina.
In the fellowship the participants will be provided the history of the devotion and a presentation of the realities of the devotion.
To facilitate wider interaction, the participants will be initiated to a fellowship and a networking among themselves in the spirit of the celebration. Along this line, mass recruitment and orientation of volunteers for the activities in 2010 will be opened.
Over and above all, the fellowship intends to strengthen among the yuppies the practice of the sacred tradition that has effectively bound people to the history of their past and to the future of the next generation.
It will be remembered that Caceres Archbishop Leonardo Z. Legaspi, O.P. D.D. himself has time and again in his homilies and pastoral letters given importance to the role of young people in the preservation of the devotion to the Nuestra Señora de Peña de Francia.
In his October 12, 2008 homily the Archbishop underscored that, to protect the devotion, the devotees must be vigilant about the changes that de-Christianize the devotion; that they must remember that the pilgrims do not come to the city for entertainment or revenue; that the Blessed Mother is not an icon to promote tourism; that to relegate Her as such is a refusal of God’s invitation to holiness and spiritual blessings.
On May 30, registration starts at 8:00 in the morning. An orientation and a paraliturgy will follow. The talk of Fr. Alarcon on the “History and Origin of the Devotion” shall be held before lunch After lunch and a video presentation, Fr. Francis Tordilla will give his talk on “Marialis Cultus and Current Realities”, followed by a workshop and snacks. Fr. Andrew G. Recepcion will talk on the ‘Presentation of the Tercentenary Celebration”.
The whole day activity will be capped by a Mass, dinner, evening programs, socials and plenum from “7:00 p.m. onwards.”
The Spiritual Directors of the Peñafrancia Young Professionals are: Rev. Fr. Rex Andrew Alarcon and Rev. Fr. Luisito Occiano.

Naga Metropolitan Cathedral, Diocese of Nueva Caceres
Naga City, Camarines Sur, Bicol Region, Philippines
The Naga Metropolitan Cathedral in Naga City, Camarines Sur was erected of Padia-an when the Diocese of Nueva Caceres was created by a Papal Bull of August 14, 1595. The cathedral was destroyed by fire in 1768. The construction of present cathedral in spanish-romanesque style began by Bishop Bernardo dela Concepcion in 1808. Finished and blessed by Mons. Tomas Ladron de Guevara in 1843. It was damaged by typhoon in October 1856, restored by the very Rev. Fray Francisco Gainza in 1862-1879. Damaged by earthquake in 1887, repaired by Obras Publicas under the direction of Bishop Arsenio Campo and Engineer Ricardo Ayuso in 1890.

akosijamir May 21st, 2009, 12:36 PM Nueva Caceres is the old name of Naga City. It doesn't refer to the University of Nueva Caceres....
yup it is correct... Nueva Caceres is the old name of Naga and during the 16th century they already used Diocese of Nueva Caceres as the name of the church here and later elevated to Archdiocese of Nueva Caceres.Ü
"The Diocese of Nueva Cáceres was established as the suffragan of Manila on August 14, 1595.[1] This was by virtue of the Papal Bull “Super specula militantis ecclesiae” issued by Clement VIII. The diocese extended over the provinces of Camarines and Albay as far as and including the islands of Ticao, Masbate, Burias and Catanduanes; the province of Tayabas as far as and including Lucban; and, in the contracosta of Mauban to Binangonan, Polo, Baler and Casiguran. The official name given to the ecclesiastical jurisdiction is “Ecclesia Cacerensis in Indiis Orientalius.” The name was taken from “Ciudad de Cáceres,” also indicated as the seat of the diocese.
Fray Luis de Maldonado, OFM was appointed the first bishop of the Diocese of Nueva Cáceres. It was elevated to archdiocese status in June 29, 1951 through the virtue of the Papal Bull “Quo in Philippine Republica” by Pope Pius XII. The Papal Bull also created its two Suffragan Sees: The Diocese of Legazpi and Sorsogon. Currently its appointed Archbishop is Leonard Legaspi O.P. He was also the first Filipino rector of the University of Santo Tomas Central Seminary, the first Vicar of the Dominican Province of the Philippines."

I will be embarking on an official travel for the 3rd time to Masbate City, Cataingan, Milagros and Balud Masbate. I will be going after the mayors of these LGUs for an autograph and a little interview. The problem is it's so hard to find a lodging house online in the municipality of Balud unlike in Cataingan, Milagros and Masbate City.
Can you guys help me or suggest where I can stay overnight in Balud, Masbate?
Or should I call the provincial tourism office? But i do need your suggestions...

garzland May 21st, 2009, 01:50 PM Naga Boracay flights: Third person update.

It's fine Sir Naga_boy...I believe so much in our local officials that they can do something about it. They have proven that despite the difficulties in getting national support, our places are still emerging as one of the bests.
In the next few days several persons would be joining our group- whatever names would be assuming in the virtual world- I don't know.
There are two persons however who would not care if I identify them:
Engr. Boy Aman, developer of Haciendas de Naga, Parkview Villages and Parkview Executive Villages and Mike Pauig, owner of Moraville Hotels and president of Rotary Club Naga.
I'll also try to contact Mr. Joe Perez, editor of Bicol Mail if he could join us.

garzland May 21st, 2009, 02:20 PM I am a loyalty awardee of this university.

Flash Report - I just talked over the phone with Arch. Patrick Sanches, the designer of LCC Malls. He told me that it is a new LCC Mall in Naga. Totally different from the Felix Plazo mall. But he can't confirmed to me where in Naga it will be constructed.
He also said that it's already been apporved and just waiting for the budget to finally break the ground....
At this moment, I'm still waiting for his text message...I am asking for the telephone number of the architect or engineer who will facilitate the construction of this mall so that I could ask its floor area and other details.
