Actually to let you know this stadium will be used for women's football team and that is why it has a roof.

Looks good, just wish it was somewhere other than Tehran.
Tehran Esfahan and Shiraz -- this places already have decent sport infrastructure. More remote areas -- this is where we should focus a little more energy. Especially because the budget for youth sport has been raised recently.

A stadium of this size isn't feasible for "remote" areas. If the population isn't large enough, these places almost always end-up being white elephants (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_elephant).

I don't mean "remote" areas like villages hehe
I mean smaller cities. Ahvaz, Bandar Abbas, Abadan, etc

I stand corrected! These places do need good public works projects.

But you are also right that attendance is not as high in those cities even though tickets are probably cheaper than in Tehran (1000 tomans for most matches, 2000 for Esteghlal-Perspolis). But if Southern Iran had a better sport budget like Tehran Fars or Esfahan province, they would be the best football region of Iran. Look at all the talents coming out of Khuzestan (I will even include Hossein Kabi who is a longi  ).

^^ And Israel lost :P Hehe

Today it would be a tough battle. I would predict 1-1, or even 2-1 for Israel with the current condition of the iranian team.

Looks good to me... So it's going to be standing inside the Azadi sports complex?

Actually to let you know this stadium will be used for women's football team and that is why it has a roof.

:hahaha: Really???? They're so endangered by Iranian men they need their own stadium?

If Tehran can build that roof-covered stadium, then they should consider installation of seating all around the existing Azadi Stadium. There are about 40,000 seats in the lower tier, but the upper tier still has empty concrete sands, which are boring.

The problem is they can't . The construction on this "first roof covered"
is at the same stage right now as when those photos were taken. It's been 40 years since Iran built a decent stadium and after the revolution Iran hasnt built any worthy stadium. All stadium built are below standard , even nations like Uzbakistan , Tajikstan , and Nigeria have stadiums more modern than Iran .

True. did you know that it is illegal and dangerous because it could esaily get over crowded. As it did couple of years ago and killed quite a few people.

Wonderful? This project doesnt exist , it was finished before it was started. I made the same point about the government not being capable of building such a project a couple years ago and some members bashed but look who was right:cheers:

You all need to stop getting boners over projects that basically dont exist

I Just came back from Iran last week and I went to azadi twice I saw the structure basically standing the same as those pictures with one truck and Crane. It took them like a year to bring a truck and crane. You guys seem to ignore the fact that we are not a normal country because of our government. Your all living in this fantasy world where you think there are so many projects being built in Iran. Look at the under construction threads in the Iran forum, maybe less then 5% get completed but when someone criticizes this terrorist government in Iran you guys get mad. I went to a stadium in Tabriz which people claim is the second best stadium in Iran and we basically had to walk up a mountain Just to enter the Damn place as there was no roads built to the access points. Nevermind the fact that the bathrooms either were closed or Just filthy or the fact that the concession stands didn't exist and the score boards didn't work. Like I said the last modern stadium built was azadi and even that wasn't built by Iranians.

Says the guy who's been fantasizing about these imagery projects in Iran for years. Akhe bace koocholo how many of these projects that you so proudly talk about have been actually completed ? What happened to the flower of the east project that you couldn't stop talking about? What happened to the monorail? What happened to the countless other projects? And you still have the audacity to actually think with this government Iran can complete such projects? Your a lost little kid who can't grasp the reality in Iran.

Either you were looking at the wrong thing or are lying for What ever reason. I Just came back from Iran and actually went to azadi complex. I took some photos with my phone as they don't let you take cameras inside the stadium, I'm going to see if this non-existant/ 1% completed project was captured in in of the photos as there was basically nothing to take a picture of LOL.

as I see in the thread others don't have a good memory of your claims :)) maybe you try to exaggerate things and you're too pessimistic? soroush says he was there and he knows the project is being completed, so why do you insist that you're right and he's lying?

Honestly I don't recall having said anything about the flower of the east, nor any other projects. From the very first day u came to this forum, u had this "I am right, u are wrong" attitude. And u don't even notice how pathetic it is.

Whenever u disagree with smth, u say u were in Iran and that u've seen this and that, but u never come up with a reliable source or anything like it, since u seem like a little girl who loves to fight with people for days just to get her point across.

Like I said many times before, ur a complete douche!! Next time u go to Azadi, or anywhere else, be so kind and take some pics for us, otherwise I suggest u stop lying so much!

LOL take that flag of your avatar the IRI onion flag is more fitting for you . Don't you think if what AGHA SROUSH says is true we would have at least ONE PHOTO ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB showing that Iran is making great progress in building its first roof covered stadium? I mean in every country where a massive project is being undertaken such as the project claimed in this thread there would be tens of hundreds of photos on the net so where are they? why are the only photos the same ones post in this thread? could it be that I am actually right about Iran having a failing government that cant manage to build even decent quality roads? You guys are claiming this project is in progress and this stadium is being built so where is your proof ?

Your claiming I am lying that projects in Iran don't get completed? my source is this forum, look at the UC threads from 4,3,2 years ago how many of them have been completed ? what a handful? what about the rest of the 95% of the projects? What point are you trying to make ? are you trying to say that we have a good government in Iran that finishes most projects in time? Most of the UC threads are just drawings or unfinished projects. The metro took nearly 30 years to build and that was done with Chinese help . The IKIA airport took another 30 and that wasn't built by Iranian either. The milad Tower took 30 years to build and don't believe the IRI claim it was built all by Iran because the whole project was designed in SHAH's ERA by foreign engineers and the mullahs basically used that blue print . I am going to ask you one more time , WHERE IS YOUR PROOF THAT THIS PROJECT IS BEING FINISHED? SHOW US ONE PICTURE before asking others to post a picture that this project is not being built , that's hypocritical at best. My guess is your still in your teens and have little knowledge about the political, economical, social problems in Iran which was created by the ISLAMIC REPUBLIC. have fun living in your little fantasy world of Iran, next time try to hide your boner when you get excited about another unfinished or fictional project

whatever flag I put on my avatar is my business, that doesn't concern others
and this project isn't considered that massive as you say.
I didn't claim anything, YOU are claiming that this project is non-existent. and you claimed that you've taken photos that prove it's nonexistent. upload them please.
I'm way far away from the Azadi stadium to take photos, if not I would've taken photos from the project, but you already got the photos, upload them please to prove your claims.

I find it hypocritical that your asking me to post pictures while the guy who said he saw the North stand completed has been asked to post anything about his claims. This thread and some Iranian members in this thread are claming this project is in progress and the North stand is complete where is ONE PICTURE showing that besides the pictures from the start up of the construction?
