Art Park. Warsaw. 180m + 160m

This is a new glass tower for Warsaw, one of a spate of rumoured talls/potential supertalls. Construction is to start this autumn.

From the thread in the Polish forums:

7 September 2007:
...Developer Ghelamco Group will start this autumn with the construction of two buildings of 160 meters and 180 meters in height in central Warsaw. The two towers will rise on 2.2 hectare parcel of land in the heart of Warsaw, right beside the Hilton hotel.

Belgian architectural firm M.&J-M. coat press - J. Eyers & partners designed both towers.

In addition, there are plans for five more towers in the Polish Capital. The Ghelamco Group are one of the largest private developers in Central/Eastern Europe.

This project is growing month by month. :D
In the beginning it was 30 floors, then 250 m. Now it's 280 m. And I really hope building will be between 250 and 280 m tall. Chances are imho over 50%.
They have already demolished old industrial buildings and plot is ready for the investment.

This is one of many plots in this area in the upper-right corner of the photo next to Hilton.

cool design. I hope this isn`t just another pipedream for warsaw. it doesn`t look like 280m though - I guess the spire is included in the height.

I guess so. It's like 250 to the "crown" and then spire hardly visible on the scanned pic.

Ghelamco already built many office buildings in Warsaw, but not any tower. Nevertheless Poland and Warsaw is one of the key real estate markets for them.

Now that's what I call a skycraper :) The height is serious here ;)
And let's hope the final shape will be a little bit different than the one from the scan...

I agree, but in Warsaw's thread about this tower in Polish forum, many users do not like the tower's design.

It was Belgian journalist mistake. Instead of 280 m tower Ghelamco plans 180 m and 160 m towers.

Pobawiłem się pierwszy raz z tym google sketchupem. Mam nadzieję ze co najmniej trafiłem proporcje dosyć dobrze aby rozpoznać budniki :). Dodałem tez Hinesa z warszawa3d.
