Okay, this story has been just about everywhere in the local media. And I wanted to get everyone's opinions about it. I know even the media has its ups and downs sometimes and that this is especially a down for WFTS, just after debuting its HD newscasts. Jason, feel free to let me know if this isn't appropriate for the Skybar.

TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- WFTS (channel 28) general manager William Carey is facing charges of auto burglary, battery, and hit and run with property damage.
Police said Carey turned himself into Tampa's Morgan street jail Friday afternoon.
Police say it started Wednesday night after Carey rear-ended a woman driving another car and didn't stop on Memorial Highway.
The victim reportedly followed him, honking her horn until he pulled over.
The police report said Carey tried to pull her out of the car through the window before eventually leaving the scene and his license behind.
Police went to his house Wednesday night but Carey did not surrender.
Carey's Tampa attorney, Eddie Suarez, issued the following statement Friday night:
Last night, William Carey, General Manager of WFTS TV in Tampa, was involved in an automobile during inclement weather at the construction area of Courtney Campbell Causeway and the Veterans Expressway.
As a result of the , charges were filed against Mr. Carey that led to him being placed on paid leave from the television station.
Mr. Carey has turned himself into authorities and is cooperating with the investigation into the automobile . We are confident that this misunderstanding will be cleared up.
We ask that the media respect Mr. Carey and his family's privacy and allow the legal process to run its course.
Mr. Carey maintains that this unfortunate incident will be resolved once the facts are presented and the authorities conclude their investigation.
