View Full Version : The Obelisk in Buenos Aires with the Germany colors...
Maxem September 21st, 2007, 05:23 AM Hi! I am from Argentina and want to show you something interesting.
The Obelisk of Buenos Aires with renewed image.
It was dressed in a case of fabric in the colors of the flags Argentine and German Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the formal beginning of the bilateral relations.
The consul of Germany in the Argentina, Félix Schwarz, who was taking part in the preparatory works, said that " this celebration is given in a moment in that the relations between our countries are very good, in all the fields: political, cultural, scientific ".

I think it reminds of the Armenian Genocide (Armenian Massacre, Armenian Holocaust, Great Calamity) as commited by the Turks. :blahblah:

schmidt October 29th, 2007, 07:11 PM OMG why does everyone comments about Nazi Germans who fled into South America when the issue is German immigration into S.A. I think some people don't really know that the massive German immigration was even before WW1, so there is no point discussing about that. Now stop that.
Max BGF November 18th, 2007, 12:51 PM Is this a permanent installation?
cello1974 November 18th, 2007, 02:48 PM German immigration started in the 19th century.
Messi November 18th, 2007, 10:37 PM very nice, very nice.
Max BGF February 3rd, 2008, 02:35 AM Wurde der Obelisk schon vergrößert oder sind weitere der wachsenden Bedeutung Deutschlands entsprechend hinzugekommen?
Mercedes S600 February 4th, 2008, 11:57 AM I'm sorry, but I don't see the German flag. All I can see are three bands of black, red and yellow.
MPOWER February 4th, 2008, 01:49 PM German immigration started in the 19th century.
Sometimes i think in S.A. are more german looking people than here. S.A. rocks! :)
