Zagreb's latest skyscraper project will see the construction of dual 23-level skyscrapers (lobby + 22 floors) interconnected between levels 2-14. This massive office project will see one skyscraper become HQs to local firm "Zagreb-Montaza", while the second tower will become the new home of another Croatian firm "Dalekovod". The location of this project will be the important intersection of Zagrebacka (formerly Ljubljanska) avenue & Vrapcanska street. The sucessful design of these twin elipical towers was created by architects Ante Anin, Ante Lozica & Kresimir Radnic from local design firm AJF Project. The lower levels of these towers will consist of underground parking for 600 vehicles. The total leasable floor space in both towers will total 30,000 sqms. Aproximately one third of this will be leased out to other interested parties. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2008. Throughout the building there will be internal atriums with gardens for the relaxation of workers, including a restaurant on level 14. The main entrance will be located facing Zagrebacka avenue.

It reminds me to a transparent tower very similar in Düsseldorf. I really like it! It would be impressive at night.

It looks like Zagreb's and Utrecht's towers are twins....they are almost the same...

I don't know for sure,but i think the nearest existing tower is about 1km by air distance,but that's zagreb,skyscrapers(or how u call this kind here highrises) are all over......If u badly wanna know try to ask here

Yeah it's a bit of stand alone at first although they have a plan of turning the whole Ljubljanska - Zagrebacka avenue into a representative (dense) commercial zone which will make a representative western city entrance. This whole thing will be spread to reach the Savska street which is planned to be another commercial zone (parts of it already exist). Not badly planned at all if you ask me. The only queston here is the time when will all of that be completed...

The Dutch version is almost ready. This is the new headquarters of the Rabobank in Utrecht, it is 105 meters tall en counts 28 floors.

unfortunately, crisis left a scar on croatian economy, so that's why this project was on hold for some time, but it was announced that works will begin in a week or two. I really hope to that. :)

I've expected to see it almost finished when I was watching photos from january '09, but I forgot about crysis and it's causes :/ too bad. I hope that they'll speed it up :)

I think we should expect some delays trough fall and winter because of weather..And you never know with situation in Croatia..Financial situation, etc..Although I hope it won't happen again what happen with basement floors on this building..

Really nice project. I like the cladding, because they usually destroy good building with cheap cladding and this one is great.
