Vecais Sakarnis did a thread in another forum about Rigas commieblocks. Really good pics. I compared them with Tallinns ones.

Forgot to add: Latvia and Estonia have common border, that's why I compared both countrys capitals commieblocks.

Wow... Riga commieblocks are much better than Tallinn. :applause:

Glad to know Riga having these best commieblocks... almost the best amongst the world. Madrid comes close... yet these "Best" by Latvia could be a fine example to show even parts of Riga can look so developed that most cities of the developed world cannot achieve.

In North America, we have ugly suburban sprawls with few residentials worth mention... apart from some prominent ones in Miami and Vancouver.

Maybe because echo showed only the 2 best commieblocks from the Riga. IMO their pretty much the same in both cities except those red brick commies in Riga which are so pretty that they don't deserve the name "commieblock".
