renell August 1st, 2003, 01:01 PM 5/10 i must say that straight vertical lines one cylindrical scrapers doesn't do it for me
RafflesCity August 5th, 2003, 12:32 PM 6.5/10
I do like the vertical columns and the window design, but the top ruins it. There should be a gradual narrowing towards the top in my opinion.

i agree
Liz L August 8th, 2003, 08:10 PM 4.5/10 - The mullions racing up the side help the height, as much as they can, and provide a nice contrast with what you can see of the rest of the facade.
But - it's still too squat and bulky, the mullions take up too much of the facade to allow it to catch the light..
And *OH * MY* ! That roof is simply hideous :bleep: ! It doesn't match the rest of the building, and actually reminds me of ...okay, folks, how many of you can remember the platten (the cylinder in a typewriter that holds the paper), that youi could take out of the typer if you had too?... I'm asking because that roof makes the whole building remind me sooo much of a platten...
Imperfect Ending August 13th, 2003, 12:00 PM 7
Nice size but the design....eh...
Vloepkleedje August 13th, 2003, 12:32 PM no, very ugly. the vertical lines aren't too bad, but in combination with the cylindrical design, it's ugly. the top is the worst. in some way, a recognizeable tower, and if you like it or not, a hong kong classic.

I like the design in general, but I'm not sure about the top.
airsickpenthousedweller August 31st, 2003, 01:05 PM I like it, but maybe only because of the strength in expression that 100% cylindrical shapes have in a building....
7.5/10
Patrick September 10th, 2003, 02:24 PM facade: ugly, usually i like those verticales, somehow here they don't fit

Ashram December 4th, 2003, 07:44 PM 4/10 Caca. I do not like cylindrical towers, nor do I like beige and browns in a skyscraper.
Jase Calvin May 18th, 2004, 08:08 PM The vertical mullions give the building a brutalist effect, which is sooo passé. This one could be better. 5/10
7 World Trade June 18th, 2004, 01:38 AM looks quite old. it doesn't really belong in hk. they should've built it in Europe or something. needs a facelift to make it belong in hk more.

Monkey November 14th, 2004, 05:17 PM The cylinder shape is nice, but the roof section could definitely be improved. The least they could do is make it a nicer colour.

bs_lover_boy June 22nd, 2005, 10:21 AM Contains the HK identity of the Late 70's which was when it was constructed. Even though cladding might not be the style of today, but if you consider of a building built in the late 70's and is 62 stories tall, I will rate it a 8.5 /10
