Kota Bharu is the capital city for the Kelantan state of Malaysia.
[pop: 300,000]. Located on the East Coast region of the Peninsular Malaysia, Kota Bharu has now grown into a sprawling major business city, serving for a large part of the East Coast populations as well as the bordering Southern Thailand people.

Definitely!
It's a nice medium-sized city (for Malaysia at least).
Sparse towers juxtaposed in between bungalows and pre-war houses...and coconut trees.
But it's vibrant and full of smiling, warm people

i like it very much. not too crowded and nice.

Not bad a skyline considering this state has been 'sidelined' by the federal government for a long time now. But it is badly in need of catching up with the new trends in architecture. :)
