MasonicStage™ September 23rd, 2007, 05:37 PM HSBC London! Great tower, indeed.
_00_deathscar September 23rd, 2007, 05:44 PM Cheung Kong.
Manila-X September 24th, 2007, 04:54 AM I'll go with the homecourt :D
Cheung Kong
gladisimo September 24th, 2007, 05:33 AM HSBC is really nice, easily second if not the best.
But home has its advantage, since HSBC and CK is tied, I go for Mr. Li's tower.
LV994-CB September 24th, 2007, 01:43 PM In first I wanted vote for Cheung Kong Center or Aon Center but in the end I somehow voted for Trump World Tower.
wjfox September 24th, 2007, 08:38 PM Aon Center for me, with HSBC a very close 2nd.
i_am_hydrogen September 24th, 2007, 09:00 PM Seagram, with Aon (my office building) a close second.
wjfox September 24th, 2007, 09:18 PM You work in the Aon Center?? Cool...
i_am_hydrogen September 26th, 2007, 12:54 AM You work in the Aon Center?? Cool...

Ton-Tille September 30th, 2007, 09:51 PM HSBC Global Headquarters
Brendan October 1st, 2007, 05:11 AM Cheung Kong Centre.
Jota Pe October 3rd, 2007, 06:16 PM Aon Center! :cheer:
Myster E October 4th, 2007, 01:30 AM Voted for the Trump Tower due to its sleekness/height and the effectiveness of its presence, a well proportioned building which isn't too domineering. Simple form yet quite attractive to the eye which should age quite well.
Seagram would be second place, an NYC icon classic.
Sagaris October 5th, 2007, 07:46 AM Cheung Kong gets my vote though HSBC is nice as well. The other three arent good looking buildings.
MDguy October 6th, 2007, 12:57 AM its gotta be AON!
kofemord October 17th, 2007, 11:13 PM AON CENTER chicago
hkskyline October 18th, 2007, 04:01 AM Seagram - a revolutionary idea at the time it was built.
Racingfreak October 18th, 2007, 07:51 PM I vote for the Trump World Tower.
Miso October 26th, 2007, 10:25 PM Seagram a classical example of a well done skyscrpaper
LV994-CB October 26th, 2007, 10:27 PM But why does it have only 8 votes. I think it deserves 2nd or 3rd place.
xzmattzx October 29th, 2007, 07:09 AM 8 Canada Square
volkhen November 6th, 2007, 08:55 PM WTC in NY was the best... unfortunately... was... :(
Patrick November 7th, 2007, 09:07 PM Aon Center, as it reminds me on the WTC...
noob(but not really) November 8th, 2007, 05:56 PM ^^Yes, me too, as if it were painted white.
BOM November 10th, 2007, 07:24 AM I liked the sleek design of the Trump tower, but the Seagram and HSBC towers were nice as well.
MRichR November 11th, 2007, 12:26 AM Aon isn't even the best box in Chicago. I'll take the IBM Building over the Aon.
pierretoulouse November 11th, 2007, 10:19 AM HSBC Global Headquarters look quit nice on the picture but i see it every day and i don't very like it . My favorite one must be Cheung Kong Center.
maggiepie November 24th, 2007, 09:03 PM I'm for Cheung Kong Center, Hong Kong!
Jinkies! November 28th, 2007, 09:14 PM Seagram. By miles.
skyscraper100 December 10th, 2007, 07:23 AM i voted the cheung kong centre...

neB December 27th, 2007, 07:36 PM Aon Center becouse I like white design
TU 'cane December 27th, 2007, 08:05 PM Aon
isaidso December 29th, 2007, 02:11 AM TD Centre, Toronto. It's a Mies van der Rohe masterpiece. It's a better example than the Seagram's Building because it is part of a series of 5 structures.

Brummyboy92 January 12th, 2008, 07:49 PM HSBC Global Headquarters all the way!
Kame January 13th, 2008, 03:52 PM Seagram.
capslock January 26th, 2008, 08:07 PM I went for Aon - beautiful. Seagram almost had it for me too - absolute classic lines - incredibly elegant. HSBC is good and the others didn't move me :)
Astralis January 27th, 2008, 01:07 AM I voted for Cheung Kong Center, HK :okay: :master: . BTW HSBC tower is also smashing :okay:.
skyscraperboy January 27th, 2008, 04:03 PM AON Center for me.
Cabman January 27th, 2008, 09:33 PM Difficult choice but HSBC for it's rounded edges.
Prince Victor January 27th, 2008, 09:59 PM Aon Center, Chicago. :)
Amrafel January 30th, 2008, 02:58 PM HSBC is the best
Kailyas February 8th, 2008, 07:45 AM I go to Aon Center, Chicago
foxmulder February 10th, 2008, 06:28 AM Trump
LeMoN-SK February 10th, 2008, 11:22 PM Aon Center for me, with HSBC a very close 2nd.
same here
Potie March 3rd, 2008, 08:19 PM Definitely Aon Center, Chicago!
Ludis_Multi May 8th, 2008, 12:32 AM Aon Center.
It sucks so bad, that it becomes interesting again.
Ni3lS May 24th, 2008, 10:41 PM Trump NYC :)
MikaGe August 5th, 2008, 02:09 PM Seagram, it's old but never outdated. Yet has timeless elegance. Fits to be placed anywhere else beside New York and at any particular era -except pre-modern and perhaps far in the future when we live in floating capsules/virtual world :D
isaidso August 6th, 2008, 05:22 AM Mies Van der Rohe's Toronto Dominion Centre or I.M. Pei's Place Ville Marie.
palaceboy1234 August 8th, 2008, 08:45 PM 1.aon
2.hsbc
Aadil.Aijaz August 10th, 2008, 09:33 AM HSBC
Askario August 10th, 2008, 11:50 AM AON is fantastical. HSBC - standard and boring glass.
swappy August 11th, 2008, 12:15 AM seagram - its the mother of all boxy skyscrapers
Mahratta August 12th, 2008, 08:10 PM Seagram
PNP August 13th, 2008, 07:36 AM I don't see anything in the HSBC from that photo
1. Trump
2. Seagram
3. AON
4. Cheung Kong Center
Bartje83 August 23rd, 2008, 12:32 AM Trump !
Alpha/S. August 24th, 2008, 05:48 PM Seagram - it defines the style.
disturbanist September 6th, 2008, 06:20 PM Seagram - a revolutionary idea at the time it was built.
Yes, definitely Seagram
India101 September 18th, 2008, 04:24 AM Cheung Kong!
poshbakerloo October 13th, 2008, 02:18 AM Aon Center, Chicago!!! I love the narrow vertical lines, and it has great proportions!!!
_00_deathscar October 14th, 2008, 06:23 PM It has to be said - it's not exactly Cheung Kong's most flattering picture is it?
Ramses October 27th, 2008, 01:57 PM The Seagram Building by Mies van der Rohe is the only revolutionary building in this list. The others are nice, but imo they are just copies of this boxconcept. Unbelievable that Seagram has such a low position in a poll on a skyscraperforum.
_00_deathscar October 27th, 2008, 04:59 PM Are you saying only revolutionary buildings should be top? That imitations, despite 'imitation being the greatest form of flattery', cannot outdo the original with its own added twists?

cichy87 November 18th, 2008, 12:57 AM Seagram
mundobq November 20th, 2008, 06:00 AM Seagram Building
Beautiful indeed!
Imperfect Ending December 15th, 2008, 03:30 AM HSBC
ThatDarnSacramentan December 15th, 2008, 04:21 AM Cheung Kong Center. Aon is my runner-up because it has sheer height, but Cheung Kong just has a certain design to it. The slightly rounded corners, the pale blue glass that reflects so well.
~MELVINDONESIA~ December 15th, 2008, 02:07 PM HSBC,London looks GREAT!
Sandeman January 23rd, 2009, 11:45 PM The Seagram Building by Mies van der Rohe is the only revolutionary building in this list. The others are nice, but imo they are just copies of this boxconcept. Unbelievable that Seagram has such a low position in a poll on a skyscraperforum.
Totally agreed!!! I am amazed that so many people chose something other than the Seagram... looks like a lot of people need to crack open some arch. history books!:ohno::bash:
Without the Seagram, all the others on this list would not exist!:)
_00_deathscar January 24th, 2009, 11:46 AM Totally agreed!!! I am amazed that so many people chose something other than the Seagram... looks like a lot of people need to crack open some arch. history books!:ohno::bash:
Without the Seagram, all the others on this list would not exist!:)
Originality has nothing to do with being the best.
red_eagle_1982 January 24th, 2009, 04:13 PM THe Original is still the best, Seagram baby!
felix801 February 13th, 2009, 10:41 PM I like the La's version of the AON better.

TheShark March 11th, 2009, 10:24 PM The Trump tower is the best IMO... though I dont really like any of those buildings
DamienK March 13th, 2009, 08:02 AM HKs Cheung Kong.
LONDON STAR March 26th, 2009, 01:10 AM It has to be Seagram, the greatest building in the world. Its the QE2 of skyscrapers :):)

2. Seagram
3. Trump
4. HSBC

The Aon is a box but it reminds me of graceful classical buildings!
Persiancat May 13th, 2009, 04:44 AM Seagram Building, NYC

The spanish version of the aon center. In my opinion it has better coronation and corners. Not has tall of course but very nice and elegant. Torre Picasso
BrooklynNYC August 19th, 2009, 08:18 PM Not to be pretentious, but, anybody who knows anything about the history of architecture is going to say the Seagrams Building. It is probably the most important building in skyscraper history. How many (albeit, bad) copies of good ol' Mies' building have there been?
Good ol' Mies and good ol' Modernism.
_00_deathscar August 20th, 2009, 06:51 AM Why does the oldest have to be the best?
I much prefer the Cheung Kong and London's HSBC Tower to the Seagram.
Phriggin' Ogre August 22nd, 2009, 05:46 AM 54th floor--superb views. We also have offices in Swiss Re.
Nice!
Anywho my vote goes to Trump NYC.
