This month, the city of Belgrade organized a small downtown showcase, to mark the 115th anniversary of the city's public transport company and 60th Anniversary since the introduction of the trolleybus to the city:yes:

Like in most other European cities, trolley seems to be teetering on the brink of death in Belgrade, with many people calling for their phased withdrawal from service for safety reasons. Still, since 2000, the city has added one new line and now has eight lines and a fleet of ~140 vehicles to service them.

The latest purchase of trolley's was from Minsk company "BELKOMMUNMASH" (between 20-30) and currently, there is a tender for 40 more brand new trolleys, with some reports indicating Polish Solaris company as the frontrunner to supply new vehicles. They should be on city's streets by February 2008.
