Okay so this coming up summer my best friend, gf, and I are going to go take a croatia-poland trip. My croat friend is going to show me the best parts of croatia for 2 weeks, and then I will show him the best parts of Poland in 2 weeks. Planning was going great when I found SkyEurope's cheap flights from either Dubrovnik or Split to Krakow for only 30 euros. But now SkyEurope has pulled that connection and there is practically no flight from croatia to poland(at least that I can find). So with that I was wondering, what do you guys think would be the best way to transport from croatia to poland.

Keep in mind that I am trying to spend as little time as possible in transit, also I am going to buy a roundtrip ticket to Zagreb from D.C. since this probably will be cheaper. This means that once I get to poland I have to return back to zagreb to fly back to the US....

...this whole planning thing has gotten a little complicated and basically I am open to any thoughts, opinions, words of wisdom perhaps?

Thanks all in advance.

Tell me about it, a Split - Krakow flight only lasts 1 1/2 hours, perfect connection but then SkyEurope had to fuck it all up and pull out. :/ If you don't mind connections, you can always take SkyEurope (from Split or Dubrovnik) to Vienna and then with them on to Krakow.

To get back, Krakow, Rzeszow, and Warsaw have direct connections to JFK and EWR on LOT. Then you can continue on to DC. They run some really good specials at various times of the year if you keep your eye on their site. Or you can always fly to Western Europe and get a connecting flight straight to DC. Since I'm sure there's no airlines that flies direct from Zagreb to DC and you'll have to grab a second connection.

Thanks for the responses guys, I think I will post on the croatian side to see what they think. As for the skyeurope idea, i definetly wouldn't mind checking that out if their online booking function worked!

so far it looks like a 24 hr train ride is the only possibility?
