KUALA LUMPUR: Menara TM beside the Federal Highway here was turned into a gigantic screen last night for the largest slide show the country has seen.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) transformed its 55-storey headquarters into a wall of inspiration, showcasing slides of the country's Prime Ministers and heroes in conjunction with the country's 50th Merdeka anniversary.

Group CEO Datuk Abdul Wahid Omar said images of heroes and inspiring messages from people who have contributed to the nation are projected on the “giant screen” measuring 54m wide and 120m high, which covers levels eight to 39 of the building.

The slide show, using technology to be used at the opening of the Beijing Olympics, will be on from 8pm to midnight daily until Sept 14.

TM has several projects running, including the TM Merdeka Millionaire programme, a reward programme to show appreciation for loyal customers, corporate campaigns, special products and services, national flag giveaways, radio contest, sound and light presentation at KL Tower, and the launch of its commemorative book in conjunction with its 20th anniversary.

To participate in the TM Merdeka Millionaire programme, all customers have to do is answer questions about themselves as well as complete a slogan on Malaysia's 50th Merdeka celebration. Forms can be obtained at any TMpoints or Celcom branches nationwide or online at www.tmonline.com.my

For details, call 1-300-888-555 or 100. The programme ends on Dec 31.

the design and architecture of this building is total special...it is very hard for people to figure out the plan of this building bcoz the building design is so complicated...

this building is quite tall...and has few sky gardens on it...creative....
this building can soar out proudly...but the lighting at night is not good...almost the whole building is dark at night...no light...maybe they want to save cost

This skyscraper looks diffrent if viewed from different angles.
To be honest, it looks good from certain angles, and it looks very strange from another. If you view it from 1 Utama, it would look absolutely diffrent.
