Menara Telekom is a state-of-the-art intelligent office building and rated 6-star by DBKL.

55 levels high at 310 meters and shaped like a sprouting "bamboo shoot", Menara Telekom is a unique landmark on the Kuala Lumpur skyline and cannot be mistaken for just another high rise. This new landmark will be Telekom Malaysia's new Corporate Head Office.

This stunning piece of architecture is located along the Federal Highway and Jalan Pantai Baharu. It is served by the Kerinchi LRT (Putra) station.

Very aerodynamic. Looks like a shark's fin. This building's shape puzzled me for a long time. Hypermount says that its design is inspired by the budding shoot of bamboo ;)
(this building has sky gardens and I imagine those large balconies are also refuge floors?)

One of my favorite towers in KL, and also one of my favorite "sail" shaped highrises.

I think that they did a top job on it, though I don't wuite get why they needed the heliport so badly. perhaps fire code, or the whim of some corporate bigshot?

7/10 - the sail shape is really sleek and unusual, and the facade can catch the light well, but on the other hand, the facade by itself is a bit dull, and the rest of the building isn't that impressive, IMO.
BTW, Jasonhouse, if someone's whim put that heliport on top, that would kinda bring the idea of "rank hath its privileges" to a new level, wouldn't it?

the building looks very surreal from certain perspectives. way more graceful than petronas. that helipad doesn't belong though. it interferes with the tower's grace.

Love this building. Love the twising and the unique shape. Those balcony/terrace/gardens are a really neat feature on an office building. I must be crazy, but something about that helipad adds to the futuristic look, but I can see why others might not like it. My favorite building in SE asia!

But, on the other hand, I dont like the facade, it looks a little worn and dated, its a great idea, but it looks grimy.

High tech yet organic looking. The grey cladding makes it look futuristic. The landing pad has been given similar treatment. I watched this tower from the freeway and it has a twisting, hypnotic effect at high speeds. 8.5/10

Hot damn that's a nice one! Awesome shape and lines. I happen to like the "simpler" facade..... a scraper w/this much goin for it doesn't need a flashy covering. It looks a lil sinister too which I like. Only thing I'd change is to remove that second-to-the-top "balcony"..... it's all symmetrical and then they throw in an extra one. Don't see any pics of it at night tho- hope it's just as impressive then.

This building is trying to do too much at once - the trememdous taper seems to truncate its obvious height, plus the overall effect seems confused, rather than integrated. They kept adding things it would seem - witness the helipad.

The shape is great ! Interesting from every angle, and very fascinating how this building doesn't stick out while it's lonely. It looks like a monumental tooth, a sail, a mountain, a bamboo or whatever ^^ The helipad is perfectly integrated, and that's quite a feat :-)
I'm just a bit hesitant about the cladding, I think it could be better.

Um, people may not like me for this but I don' t like this building. It is too gray and drab. The futuristic design was a nice attempt... the shape reminds me too much of our Dubai classic but without anything nvitiing in terms of shimmer or brightness. Even the lighting at night looks off to me.

No offense, it just does not appeal outside of being an oddity.
