:nono: barranquilla is close. this is the only place on earth with a permanent snowy peak next to the ocean in the tropics.

Can you actually see the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from the city? beautiful picture by the way, i thought the glaciers were smaller.

yeah, you can. the mountain and the glaciers are visible from outer space (see google earth)
