View Full Version : Flaunt Magazine's ""Gallery Sprawl: City of Angels"

The reason why I created this topic was primarily due to an article in the L.A. based Flaunt Magazine entitled "Gallery Sprawl: City of Angels". It basically pertains to the current "art boom" in Los Angeles, which covers artists and art galleries in Santa Monica all the way to Chinatown. It's in issue 87 and worth a good read. Pick it up and read it when you get the chance! The issue looks like this:

For those of you who've already read the article, how did you feel about the article as well as the current art scene in L.A.? I feel that it's 100% accurate, I don't think you can find a more thriving art community in any other city in the country right now. Along with the current construction boom, this art boom is probably signifying a sort of "L.A. Renaissance" that's currently sweeping the entire city.

I haven't read it, but I agree. I have been a part of it for a little bit. And so is the music scene, but thats always been here.
