Sun Valley:450m+, 100 floors; 4x200m+, 50+ floors. Yingli Properties' tallest project in town. Officially announced to be composed by one tower of 100 floors and another four above 50. The design is likely to be rather conceptual, and the outcome is expected to be drastically revised downwards. This project is located in Jiangbei district, next to Future International tower. Several on going projects by Yingli properties within the area were merged into this single large development.

how many?

Hard to say, many heights are unknown. Here is a list of the highest projects on going in CQ.

Further info (renders, etc) at Chongqing projects thread:

[Jiefangbei] Yingli Tower (330m-350m; 75~ floors): Final version expected to be launched this month, height probably 330m.

[Jiangbei] Yingli Tower (385m+; 81 floors): Yingli Properties' latest project. To be built next to Future International.

Global Financial Building (330m~; 70~ floors): Final design unreleased, supposed to be launched soon.

Century Star Plaza (2x350-400m, 4x200-280m~; 2x80-95 floors, 4x50-75 floors): Same story. Final design unreleased, latest proposals simply crazy.

Jialing Fanying (398m; 98 floors): Scheduled to be started before the end of 2007. Shui On Land has just announced it will be "above 100 floors", so they might change the design.

Marriott Center (398m; 80 floors): After being on hold due to constant height increases, it should be resummed soon.

Artificial Tower (used to be 200m; 50~ floors): The project (currently a huge hole) was sold and some people said it would become a supertall. Height increase is confirmed, but few chances to become so tall.

Yuzhou Hotel (308m, 70~ floors): Under redesign, final height expected to be around 310m.

Hongyadong Phase II (300m~; 65+ floors): Just a concept proposal, no design released by the moment.

Park Place Twin Towers (2x305m; 70+ floors): Still too little information, final proposal unreleased.

West Asia Hotel (298m; 68 floors): Final height unconfirmed.

Huangedu Tower 1 (300m~; 68~ floors): Vague proposal for Nanbin area. Still no info.

Triumph Tower (280m+; 75 floors): Proposal next to Century Star Plaza, very little info.

Paradise Beyond the River Hotel (280m+; 68 floors): Final design unreleased, might be a little taller.

Nanbin Tower (300m~; 67+ floors): We don't know almost anything about this project. One proposal shows a 70+ floor tower around 330m, the other shows a 67 floor twin tower project over 280m. Probably the final plan will be another.

Poly Tower (290m; 60 floors): Definitive design, construction has just started.

Nanan CBD Supertall (300m+): Just a concept proposal by the moment.

Jiangbei CBD Supertalls (2x300m+): More concept proposals.

This is the final plan, 100 floors, and surely around 450m instead of 385m. And what is better, the project is official now.

Pay attention to the first render, roof height is 10 floors higher than the middle section.

IMO:

Roof = 370-390m.
Parapet = 390-410m.
Spire = 430-460m.

Could become Chongqing's tallest :D

This one is very likely to be the final design for the main tower, they said. You can count around 95 floors, probably above 450m if we include the spires.

This project, as every other Yingli development, will be a huge disappointment it seems. As usual Yingli has fooled us for years announcing a huge tower which in the end will be far shorter and less interesting than any of the countless fake proposals released over the last years. 100 floors, it was all over the press! These liars are even worse than Shimao! At least, in case they build Gensler project, they wont build something ugly as they are doing in Jefangbei but a very decent design.

My only hope is that according to the latest renders posted at #89, the masterplan may be enlarged adding up to another 10 towers. Exchanging height for more towers is acceptable, if they truly build them :D

z0rg
January 14th, 2011, 10:43 AM
Since the rest of the towers, in case they ever build them, are likely to be developed in a long term, I'm changing the title of the thread. We may open new threads on the future as they release clear information about other towers within the Sun Valley masterplan.

This is what we truly know besides all that forum-fabricated mythology:
http://cq.qq.com/a/20100916/000612.htm
^^ 300m, 70 floors [crossing my fingers here, so that it wont be just 280-299.99m], according to this article released in late 2010. No doubt, the final project will miss the announced 100 floors by far, Yingli loses face again.

Proposal by Hassell.

The Tianhe Mansion Tower is designed as a landmark building for the Guan Yin Qaio district. The super high-rise tower comprises 66 storeys and is 312 metres in height.

The concept for the tower evolved from the historical pole housing structures or 'diaojiao', perched over terraced landscapes.

Surrounded on all sides by existing properties, the tower is located in a green pocekt of parkland in the city. Circular in plan and designed to be viewed in the round, the core offset assists with natural daylight penetration.

The podium is seen as an extension of the parkland and is shrouded in a canopy of foliage, while the external envelope of the main tower is a combination of skin and structure.

Portions of this system are operable, providing natural ventilation and air supply to the mechanical system. Pocket sky gardens appear across the facde, throughout the entirety of the building.

As with the base, the pole structure continues beyond the top of the tower, forming a delicate crown.

Another proposal. Also by Hassell. In the Chinese version they include that the height is 290m only.

The city of Chongqing lies between two mountain ranges at the intersection of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. The region is known for its astonishing scenery of mountain and river gorge.

The steep and dramatic landscape of the surrounding terrain continues into Chongqing itself, famously known as the ‘Mountain City’.

The Rock is a 60-storey commercial tower in Chongqing. Its form is generated as the logical, contextual response to the topographical features that surround the city. The structure is intended to be both natural and embedded in its surroundings, at the same time being a distinctive and recognisable sculptural form.

The office floor consists of a traditional central core with one row of columns along the perimeter edge, creating column-free space internally. A five-storey restaurant at the top of the tower provides dramatic views of the city.

At the street level, a four-storey retail podium and public plaza create activity and life around the base of the tower

The Rock is inspired by Alberto Giacometti’s 1934 bronze sculpture, Cube.
