Tose Proeski dies in car crash

The famous Macedonian singer Tose Proeski died in tragic road accident in Croatia early this morning.

Croatian TV Nova and Jutarnji List daily said on Tuesday that accident happened Tuesday morning around 06:30 near Nova Gradiska, when Volkswagen Tuareg collided with a truck.

The same source says besides Proeski, who was sleeping at the front seat, his manager Ljiljana Petrovic (1958) and Gjorgji Gjorgjevski (1975) - driver, were also aboard the vehicle at the time of the crash.

This is a major loss for Macedonia, he was the best singer the country ever saw and had such fame, everyone loved him...

Just got off the phone with relatives and they're saying that everyone is upset and shocked...people are getting together in Krushevo his birth town, and in Skopje, all over...it's really sad.:(

R.I.P. Toshe!! :(:(:( I found out about it this morning at around 9:30 and just couldn't believe it. Every radio station broadcasts his music, and the TV stations dedicate most of their news to him. Saw the chairman of the parliament on Kanal 5, he just couldn't stop himself from crying! He was such a great man. Only 26. :(:(:(:(:(

I would usually agree with you - when people express sorrow they don't really feel and when they say things they don't really mean.

But Tose manged to stay a decent guy in a very dirty business and I feel genuine sadness because of what happened. Like someone put it "everybody becomes a nice guy after they are gone, but Tose was truly a nice guy"

it's very probable he fell asleep and when he woke up he tried to dodge it from the left side... that's when he probably dragged Tose (who was on the codriver seat) under the truck.

Ако на почеток беше шок, потоа неверување, на крајот Македонија мораше да се соочи со суровата вистина. Колку и да е болно, Тоше Проески повеќе не е меѓу нас.

На тревникот на плоштадот „Македонија“ горат илјадници свеќи. Со солзи во очите граѓаните доаѓаат да му оддадат последна почит на Тоше Проески, да запалат свеќа, да напишат порака. Го сакаа сите - и старо и младо. Ја загубивме нашата најголема ѕвезда.

„За жал, тоа беше сонце што ни светеше, но многу рано згасна. Голема загуба за семејството, за Македонија, момче со големо срце, благородна душа, голема штета“, изјави граѓанка.

„Тоше беше прекрасен, сите го знаеме, се гордееше со него цела Македонија. Веста дојде рано сабајле, сите сме шокирани. Едноставно, денот ни стана од бел црн. Трагично беше сето ова и уште не веруваме дека ова се случува. Меѓутоа, фактот дека сме сите тука покажува дека вистината е сурова, црна“, рече граѓанка.

На плоштадот се поставени и книги на жалост, каде обожавателите на Тоше и неговите колеги, соработници, луѓето од државниот врв дојдоа да напишат колку им значеше Тоше.

Тоше Проески со сите државни почести ќе биде погребан утре во 13 часот на гробиштата во родното Крушево. Како што соопштија од Владата, за ова дало согласност неговото семејство.

Утрешниот ден е прогласен за Ден на жалост.

Владата постхумно го прогласи Проески за заслужен граѓанин на Македонија. Македонското Собрание ја прекина работата по веста за трагичната смрт на мега ѕвездата.

Пратениците му оддадоа почит со едноминутно молчење. Проески беше личност која не оставаше простор да не го засакате, рече претседателот Црвенковски.

„Постои една изрека која вели дека поделена радост е поголема радост, а поделена тага е помала тага и ако тоа може да биде барем мала утеха, оваа тага по Тоше ја делат сите граѓани на нашата земја и уште десетици илјади луѓе надвор од земјата, сите оние кои имале можност или прилика барем еднаш да го видат или барем еднаш да го слушнат неговиот глас“, изјави Бранко Црвенковски, претседател на Р. Македонија.

„Денес изутрина се пресели во сферите на легендата нашиот драг Тоше Проески. На седницата на координација беше донесена едногласна одлука денес Собранието да не работи“, рече Љубиша Георгиевски, претседател на Собранието на Македонија.

Thanks to all those who expressed concern.

His remains are in Macedonia, he's going to be buried today...it's really nice to see the reactions all over ex-yugoslavia and the people are all upset and everyone is reporting about it, it means a lot to Macedonia and the people. Reading the comments on news sites by everyone around from all countries means a lot. I've heard that all bus routes going to Krushevo in Macedonia are going to be free.

Тоше Проески - идолот, иконата, амбасадорот на Македонија, славејот со ангелски глас и хуманист попладнево со државни и верски почести е погребан на Градските гробишта во неговото родно Крушево.

Солзите на сите кои дојдоа да се збогуваат со Тоше и беспомошните лелеци на неговите најблиски не ја омекнаа реалноста. Тоше се врати во своето Крушево - засекогаш.

Почесната армиска гарда му го предаде знамето од ковчегот на Тоше на неговиот татко Никола. Во чест на Тоше беа испукани три плотуни.

Поглаварот на МПЦ г.г. Стефан кој чиноначалствуваше на погребната церемонија, рече дека Крушево и Македонија по 1903 не биле обвиени во ваква тага.

„Тагува Крушево и жали Македонија и сите кои го знаевме Тоше. Го изгубивме најдоброто најталентираното момче преку чиј глас најмногу се слушна за Македонија. Воодушевуваше со гласот и песната своја и восхитуваше со своето богољубие, човекољубие и со својата благочестива душа. Разбра што е среќа, а не заборави што е мака. Неговиот последен концерт како да беше негово проштевање и збогување со Македонија. Се чини пееше како никогаш дотогаш. Замина со песна како што и дојде за да ни остане недопеана песна. Се простуваме со најголемиот војвода на песната на нашето време. Продолжи да пееш и горе на небото и нека те придржуваат хоровите на ангелите“, кажа г.г Стефан.

„Тоше не научи на хуманост вредност и искреност. Тоше замина премлад во легенда оставајќи непроценливо богатство. Пример кој треба да се следи и почитува. Ни ја остави својата песна за да не крепи кога ќе ни биде тешко“, рече во прошталниот говор премиерот Никола Груевски.

„Имаше ѕвезда, чисто срце и душа и волја со која покажа дека Македонија може и дека е рамноправна со сите. Ги врати вредностите до секоја генерација, до најмладите - дека соништата се остваруваат, до средовечните дека да се сака значи да се живее и да се живее значи да се сака и до најстарите - да се потсетат на надежта и да ја почувствуваа објективноста. Загина како што живееше сонувајќи за еден подобар свет, верувајќи во подобро утре и во луѓето“.

Груевски својот говор го заврши со молитва: „Господи, Тоше кој во цветот на својата младост премина од другата страна, прими го во твоите рајски предели, удостој го да се насладува од лицето на синот твој татко на секоја утеха, ти кој го осветлуваш сонцето и ги веселиш со својата убавина пријателите свои, душата на своето чедо Тоше, за која во животот прибежиште беше крстот твој. Се молиме сега нека ја види милоста и воскресната радост твоја во денот на доаѓањето твое, сега и секогаш во сите векови. Амин“.

„Беше допрен од Бога. Секогаш те чекав и секогаш доаѓаше. Заедно почнавме, ти кај мене заврши. Умре надежта и најголемата ѕвезда што некогаш ќе се роди во Македонија. Тој не беше уметник, тој беше ремек дело“, рече Весна Петрушевска во името на културните работници на Македонија.

„Не можеме да поверуваме дека го нема. Се радувавме на секој негов успех, остана истиот, неговата популарност ништо не измени од неговата непосредност и ведрина“, кажа Илчо Ангеловски, во име на другарите на Тоше.

Проштални говори одржаа и митрополитот Петар, Сузана Тунева - Пауновска, во име на Црвениот крис на Македонија и Благој Благадуша, претседаваш на Советот на општина Крушево.

Пред ковчегот со неговите посмртни останки претходно се поклонија претседателот Бранко Црвенковски, премиерот Никола Груевски, претседателот на Собранието Љубиша Георгиевски. Со Тоше се збогуваа и членови на Владата, пратеници, претставници на дипломатскиот кор меѓу кои амбасадорката на САД Џилијан Миловановиќ, евроамбасадорот Ерван Фуере, делегации на АРМ, на политички партии...

Последна почит му оддадоа и претставници на македонската музичка сцена, соработници-композитори и естрадни имиња од соседството - Аки Ракимовски, Тони Цетински, Светлана Цеца Ражњатовиќ, Владо Георгиев... и сите за кои пееше Тоше кој токму оваа година одбележуваше 10 години од својата плодна музичка кариера.

Ковчегот со посмртните останки на македонската музичка ѕвезда Тоше Проески изутрината од неговиот дом беше пренесен во црквата „Пресвета Богородица“ во Крушево каде што се одржа црковен обред, а крушевчани и граѓани од многу други градови во Македонија и надвор од неа му оддадоа почит.

Со посмртни звуци на Воениот оркестар и со марш на почесниот вод на Армијата на Република Македонија ковчегот на Тоше беше донесен на Гумење пред „Македониумот“.

Семејството, најблиските, роднините и пријателите потресени и со неверување ја допираа сликата на Тоше и неговиот ковчег прекриен со државното знаме. Во „Македониумот“ се одржа и комеморативна седница.

Недоверие, солзи, болка, но и лутина што мораше ова да се случи. Тоа се чувствата на граѓаните на БиХ. Редица пред македонската амбасада во Сараево уште од раните утрински часови.

„Се уште не можам да верувам дека те нема, ти си нашата сила“. „Не беше еден од најдобрите, туку беше најдобар“. Ова се само дел од последните зборови на сараевчани запишани во книгата на жалоста отворена утрово во македонската амбасада во Сараево.

Со солзи во очите му палат свеќи на плочникот. Почит му оддаваат и помладите и постарите, македонските граѓани кои живеат тука, припадниците на медицинскиот и хеликоптерскиот тим, политичарите - домашните, но и меѓународни.

Сите медиуми ја пренесоа трагичната вест. Тоше е присутен и на телевизиските и на радиските станици. Во весниците неговата биографија и секаде истакнато колку тој стори за БиХ.

Неговите колеги го нарекуваат човек со ангелски глас, еден од ретките вистински луѓе. Но, сигурно, освен по песните, ќе биде запаметен и како човек кој никогаш не ја симнуваше насмевката од своето лице.

„Згасна пејачката ѕвезда“. Со ваков наслов во најголемиот дел од весниците низ Балканот и пошироко пишуваат за трагичната смрт на поп иконата Тоше Проески.

Денешен „Вечерње новости“ на својата насловна страна објави текст со наслов „Загина Тоше Проески. Смртта на младиот принц со ангелски глас“.

„Тага“ е насловната на белградскиот весник „Прес“, посветена на прераното заминување на Тоше Проески. Во веста за прераната смрт на Тоше Проески белградски „Блиц“ пишува: „Замина балканскиот крал на музиката“.

Хрватскиот интернет портал „Индекс“ на својот веб сајт ќе напише: „Тоше ја чекаше љубовта на својот живот“. „По Тоше не тагува само Македонија, туку и Словенија“, пишува љубљански „Дневник“.

„Свеќа за Тоше“ - „Вечер“ од Марибор го истакнува црнилото што ја покри Македонија со трагичната смрт на „кралот на музиката“.

Веста за смртта на Тоше Проески е во ударните вести и на некои светски медиуми. Во Германија, Франција, Британија и други земји се изразува шокираност кај обожаватели, а се опишуваат и моментите пред Тоше да замине во рајот.

За популарноста на големата ѕвезда сведочат и бројните коментари и изрази на сочувство од неговите обожаватели објавувани на интернет порталите. Одделни новински агенции Тоше го поистоветувањето со Елвис Присли во Америка.

Više od tri hiljade Zeničana upisalo se u knjigu žalosti koju je povodom tragične smrti makedonske muzičke zvijezde, Tošeta Proeskog...

Hiljade, uglavnom mladih sinoć je na centralnom gradskom šetalištu palilo svijeće, odajući tako počast Proeskom, koji je u Zenici imao veliki broj nastupa.

- Mladi našeg grada, kao i svi građani pogođeni su pogibijom Proeskog, dokazanog prijatelja Zenice i BiH. Svoj posljednji nastup u BiH, pokojni Toše imao je prije mjesec i po dana upravo u Zenici, na Regionalnom radijskom festivalu, gdje je osvojio Gran prix. Od šest Radijskih festivala održanih u Zenici, Proeski je čak tri puta osvajao Gran prix, kazao je Pane Škrbić, direktor Direkcije bh. muzičkih festivala Zenica.

Upis u knjigu žalosti i paljenje svijeća trajat će do večeras.

Maestro Milenko Karović, rukovodilac Omladinskog hora iz Zenice, izjavio je za Fenu, da će ovaj hor koji je u nekoliko navrata nastupao u pratnji Tošeta Proeskog, uskoro izvesti poseban program u znak sjećanja na tragično preminulu mladu muzičku zvijezdu.

Ispraćaj makedonskog pjevača Tošeta Proeskog, počeo je jutros u 9.00 sati, obredom u crkvi Presveta Bogorodica u Kruševu, njegovom rodnom gradu.

U prisustvu obitelji, kolega glazbenika, državnih dužnosnika i velikog broja građana, obred je služio vladika Petar, a pogreb je predvodio poglavar Makedonske pravoslavne crkve arhiepiskop Stefan.

Lijes s tijelom Toše Proeskog, pokriven državnom zastavom, bio je postavljen na platou kraj spomenika Makedonium u njegovu rodnom Kruševu gdje mu u mimohodu posljednju počast odali sugrađani, prijatelji, kolege i mnogobrojni ljubitelji njegove pjesme iz cijele Makedonije.

Na oproštaju od pjevača bio je i makedonski državni vrh.

"Izgubili smo prekrasnog čovjeka, pravog čovjeka i anđela Božjeg. Gospod rijetko daje takve prekrasne duše kao što je bila Tošina i zato je u našim dušama i dušama ljudi na cijelom Balkanu i šire u svijetu Toše ostavio vječni spomen", rekao je vladika Petar koji je vodio opijelo.

Kruševo, koje se nalazi 180 kilometara od Skoplja, mali je grad sa oko 5.000 stanovnika, ali je danas u njemu veliki broj ljudi, a policija osigurava prilaz gradu i mjesto pogreba.

Poslednjem oproštaju od popularnog pevača prisustvuje je i njegova menadžerka Ljiljana Petrović, koja je u nesreći samo lakše povređena.

Povodom iznenadne tragične smrti velikog makedonskog umjetnika Tošeta Proeskog, gradonačelnica Sarajeva Semiha Borovac je u svoje i uime Grada i građana Sarajeva uputila izraze najdublje sućuti obitelji Proeski, ambasadi R Makedonije u BiH i građanima Makedonije.

"Toše Proeski bio je prije svega veliki čovjek. Mi u Bosni i Hercegovini pamtit ćemo ga kao velikog humanistu koji je bio sudionik niza humanitarnih akcija i dobrotvornih koncerata za djecu. Potpredsjednik Federacije BiH, upisao se u knjigu žalosti u makedonskom veleposlanstvu u Sarajevu.

I'm usually immune to such events like this tragedy but this day really got to me.... the footage of his ex-gf Adrijana Budimir reaction was especially touching IMO. U could tell it's very sincere

Macedonian star Proeski given state burial

KRUSEVO, Macedonia (Reuters) - Macedonian pop star Tose Proeski was buried on Wednesday with full state honors in front of thousands of mourners, a day after the 26-year-old was killed in a car crash in Croatia.

Proeski, one of the most popular artists in the Balkans, was buried in his hometown of Krusevo, his coffin draped in the Macedonian flag and lowered into the ground to a gun salute.

Macedonian President Branko Crvenkovski and Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski were among several thousand mourners.

"He left too young, as a legend," Gruevski told the ceremony. "We are indebted to him, to continue his humane work," he said.

Proeski was killed when his jeep hit the back of a truck and crashed into the protective fence on the Zagreb to Belgrade highway 120 km (70 miles) east of Zagreb.

He was asleep in the passenger seat. Two other people in the car were injured.

Thousands of weeping fans poured into the main square of the Macedonian capital Skopje on Tuesday evening, lighting candles and leaving flowers, teddy bears and posters of the young star.

A classically-trained singer, Proeski started his pop career at 15, releasing his debut album at 18.

He sang in Macedonian and Serbian and represented Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004.

He had several number one hits in the former Yugoslav republics of Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia, with songs such as "Cija si?" (Whose Are You?) and "Ako me poglednes vo oci" (If You Look Me In The Eyes).

Macedonians bade farewell to his fellow-citizen Tose Proeski with tears and applauses before his remains were buried at the Krusevo cemetery.

The mega-popular singer, musician, song-writer and humanist Tose Proeski died at the age of 26 in a car crash in Croatia on Tuesday, and his body was transported last night to Macedonia.

Proeski was buried shortly after 14:00 hrs with highest state and church honors. As many as 10.000 citizens attended the funeral. Earlier today, a religious service took place at the St Virgin Mary Mother of God in Krusevo, which was followed by placing the casket with Proeski's remains in front of the Makedonium monument.

Citizens of all parts of Macedonia, his colleagues from Macedonia and abroad, Ambassadors, representatives of political parties and the entire state leadership bowed at the bier to pay respect.

The Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Stefan, conducted the funeral ceremony.

Bishop Petar, Tose's friends, a representative of the Macedonian Red Cross, a representative of the Krusevo Municipality, the actress and popular talk-show host Vesna Petrusevska, who called the attendants to send off Tose by applause, the PM Nikola Gruevski, were among the last to bow at his grave, before Proeski's family bid him the last farewell.

Macedonia declared a national Mourning Day for today, while the town of Krusevo declared three-day mourning period.

Yesterday, Tose Proeski was awarded with the title Honorable Citizen of Macedonia.

Britney Spears has no talent anyway...Toshe is something special, he was Macedonia's best singer and represented the country so well, he had a good heart and was genuine, he wasn't involved in usual celebrity bullshit. He was just a rare person, who knows when another person like him will be born again in Macedonia. Irregardless if anyone liked his music, he was still loved by all people, he touched all of us and it's so unfair that he had to go. It's always the good people that leave early, he had so much more to offer and do, it's not right and never will be. I can't get over the fact, the radio's are putting on music by Toshe, always mentioning him, i'm just in disbelief still, it's so f'ing awful.

Големиот пејач откако слушнал дека малечката Милена, која била тешко болна, има желба да се сретне со него, повеќепати ја посетувал во Неготино и во болницата во Скопје, раскажуваат нејзините родители

Смртта на Тоше ја доживеавме болно како и смртта на нашата седумгодишна ќерка Милена, на која ангелот од Крушево и' го разубавуваше краткиот живот, со солзи завчера зборуваа неготинците Светлана и Бранко Димови. Тие низ плач раскажуваа за хуманоста на Тоше, кој откако слушнал за тешката болест на малечката Милена и за нејзината желба да се сретне со него, повеќепати ја посетувал во нејзиниот дом во Неготино и во болницата во Скопје.

Милена, која починала во 2000 година, уште на тригодишна возраст гледајќи го Тоше на телевизија изразила желба да се сретне со него. Девојчето, поради проблеми со белите дробови, било секогаш поврзано со боца за кислород и немало начин како да и' биде исполнета желбата да отиде на концерт. Тоше дознал за големата желба на малото немоќно девојче и, како во бајките, еден ден се појавил на вратата од нивниот дом во Неготино.

- Се здрвив од возбуда и восхит кога го видов на влезот во нашиот скромен дом. Тоше, извикав, а Милена не внимавајќи на цревото преку кое го вдишуваше кислородот, се стрча за да го прегрне - се сеќава нејзиниот татко Бранко.

Милена за момент била пресреќна. Таа не го симнувала погледот од гостинот, кого толку посакувала да го види. Тоше, раскажуваат Димови, веднаш му понудил помош на семејството. Рекол дека ќе одржи и хуманитарен концерт ако треба.

- Лек за Милена нема во светот, му рековме. Доволно е што дојде, зашто тоа многу и' значи на нашата ќерка - бил одговорот на родителите на болното девојче.

Димови раскажуваат дека ангелот од Крушево, како што го нарекуваат, продолжил да ја посетува својата малечка пријателка секогаш кога можел. Средбите со него, велат тие, и' го продолжувале животот на Милена.

- Душичке, секогаш кога ќе можам, ќе дојдам да те видам. Ќе пораснеш голема, господ ќе ти помогне, ќе оздравиш - ја тешел Тоше, ја гушкал и и' давал сила и оптимизам на Милена.

Димови велат дека познатиот пејач доаѓал секогаш кога можел, макар и на неколку минути. Милена во него го гледала својот принц од бајките. Бил нејзиниот најдобар другар, бидејќи детството и' било украдено и никогаш не си поиграла со другите деца.

- Се сеќавам кога еднаш Милена беше во шок-соба во болницата во Козле во Скопје. Беше во критична состојба. Телото и' беше скоро безживотно. Тоше снимал спот, но нашол време и дојде да ја види. Пред тоа таа не ги отвораше очите и со никого не разговараше. Кога дојде Тоше таа се насмевна. Не можеше да зборува, но на прашањата му одговараше со насмевки и со климање на главата - раскажуваат родителите на Милена.

Родителите велат дека добродетелот сакал да го плати и скапиот апарат што бил неопходен за девојчето, но тие се заблагодариле и го информирале дека тие трошоци ги покрила државата.

- Животот тече понатаму, можеби Милена му била многу мила и на Господ - им рекол Тоше, кога ги сретнал по нејзината смрт во Неготино.

Големиот пејач со хумано срце и по нејзината смрт не ја заборавил својата малечка пријателка. Родителите велат дека тој повеќепати го посетил малечкиот гроб на Милена.
It's about a little girl called Milena, who had a hard illness and had such a desire to see Toshe. The 7 year old girl died in the year 2000. Toshe came to her house though before that because he heard that she really wanted to see him and said that he'd set a fund humanitarian concert for the girl but it seems that her illness was incurable. He always visited her in her home town and in the hospital in Skopje. He visited the little girl close to her death:(

"Мамо, како сега јас да му помогнам. Тој мене ми даде живот, што да направам јас за него". Вака реагирал сега петнаесетгодишниот Тоше Илиев од Кочани, обраќајќи и се на мајка си Евгенија (32), кога слушнал дека Тоше Проески загинал во сообраќајна несреќа во Хрватска.
Во декември 2000 година кај малиот кочанчанец Тоше (тогаш на осум години) бил откриен тумор на мозокот. Операцијата во Скопје била неуспешна. На Илиеви им било кажано да бараат спас во Германија. Операцијата чинела многу пари, кои тие ги немале. Со помош на членовите на кочанската група “Калифорнија”, таткото Миле (36) стапил во контакт со Тоше Проески. Му објаснил за што станува збор. Проески на еден збор прифатил. Пеел на хуманитарен концерт во Кочани и неколку дена потоа биле собрани 6.000 марки.

“Миле му нудеше на Тоше да земе дел од парите да си ги покрие трошоците, ама тој не сакаше да слушне за такво нешто. Дојде пред концертот кај нас дома. Си играше со нашиот Тоше и со неговиот помал брат Симеон. Ни велеше дека се мора да биде во ред кога Тоше ќе пее за Тоше”, ни раскажа Невенка, баба на Тоше Илиев, со солзи во очите и не испуштајќи ја сликата на Проески од раце.

Операцијата била извршена во Хановер, Германија. Се поминало во најдобар ред. Проески постојано се јавувал да праша како е неговиот имењак од Кочани.

Тоше Илиев со родителите и едниот брат вчера не беше во својот дом. Уште рано изутрина сите беа тргнати за Крушево, да му оддадат последна почит на Проески, кој со неговото широко срце им помогна пред седум години .

“Што да ви кажам. Тој му помогна на моето дете. Таков човек повторно не се раѓа. Мораме да бидеме во Крушево, потресени сме сите. За нас ова е трагедија која тешко ја доживуваме. Што и да кажам, џабе е”, плачејќи ни рече по телефон Миле Илиев, татко на Тоше од Кочани, кој сега е прва година во Средното економско училиште. Одличен ученик е, иако видот му е значително оштетен од туморот.
Како што ни рече Миле, неговиот син со Проески постојано се слушал на телефон. И кога го менувал бројот, им го давал на Илиеви да го имаат за секој случај, а неговиот штитеник од Кочани го предупредувал да не им го дава на девојчињата.

Семејството Илиеви неколкупати го посетиле домот на Проески во Крушево. Им ги честитале домашните слави и имендени. Тоше од Кочани и Тоше од Крушево имале посебен однос. Последен пат се слушнале пред еден-два месеа. Договарале средба кога македонската мегаsвезда ќе се ослободи од обврските.

За жал, двајцата Тошевци повеќе никогаш нема да се сретнат. Останува помладиот, овде во Кочани, да ги негува спомените за човекот што несебично му помогнал, во кого се колнел и го обожавал.
It's about an 8 year kid in the year 2000, who was also called Toshe, who had a brain tumour and Toshe Proeski organised a concert in his home town Kochani for his cause so that he could go to Germany to be operated. He raised the money for the kids operation and practically saved his life by doing that coz the kid ended up going to Germany and had the operation, he's 15 years old today.

It's damn unfair, he had an enormous heart, he had what it means to even HAVE a heart and now he's gone. Hearing his songs isn't the same, it feels like we all knew him and i can't even begin to imagine how his family and friends must be feeling, especially his manager who was in the car with him.

His girlfriend (or close friend) Andrijana Budimir has initiated a museum for Toshe in Krushevo.

Sarajevo ne zaboravlja Tošu Proeskog....

Veliki broj fanova makedonskog pjevača Toše Proeskog cijeli dan se okupljao ispred Doma mladih na Skenderiji i opraštao od svog idola. U ponoć su se, nakon minute šutnje i paljenja svijeća, mnogi njegovi poštovaoci, tužni i u suzama, upisali u knjigu žalosti i ostavili poruke na postavljeni pano.
Među prisutnima su bile i Tošetove kolege Deen, Dalal Midhat iz grupe "Erato", Anabela iz grupe Funky G, Selma Bajrami i drugi.

U are probably right about this last sentence. Still it's not about his la la la love songs, the kid was all right, he came from a small town, poor background and he gave a lot to many as if he was rich all his life. Contrary to the 99% of the fake rich businessman from Skopje spoiled brats who love to waste their parents money to pretend to be Beyonce or Justin Timberlake, who keep on crapping on our stations about their "new projects" and their stylists, and their new haircuts and all that crap this guys only argument was singing, not faking. He was always natural, honest and humble and people learned to appriciate that unique appearence in a sea of mediocrity.

Think of him as the Macedonian Lady Diana. I know U hate royal crap but I'm just trying to explain to U why all the fuzz.

BTW Pavarotti was an old farth, I'm sure people wouldn't mourn even close to this if Tose died as an fat old man. But he died at just 26 in an accident and at a moment when his carrer was still skyrocketing and when he could have given much more. It's the same thing with Diana, young/accident.

Заедно живееја девет месеци во домот на Проески во Злокуќани, а често патуваа и кај неговите родители во Крушево


Скршена од болка, Андријана Будимир едвај стоеше на траорниот погреб на македонската поп-икона. Тоше за неа подготвуваше бурма

Тоше Проески и Андријана Будимир, непосредно пред трагичната смрт, разговарале и планирале стапување во брак и оформување семејство. Иако во јавноста никогаш не кажаа отворено дека се во врска и имаат сериозни намери, нивните најблиски сведочат дека двојката во последниве месеци делела ист дом и живеела во ексклузивната куќа на Тоше во населбата Злокуќани во Скопје. Врската се чуваше во најстрога тајност, дури и самите партнери имаа услогласени изјави за јавноста - дека не им се случува љубов и не се во врска.

Но, по последното испраќање на Тоше Проески во неговото вечно живеалиште на Градските гробишта во Крушево, криењето на љубовната романса повеќе нема никаква смисла. Долго, долго ќе одекнува болката од Крушево. Снимките од стравотните лелеци, плачот, неизмерната болка и скршените души на над десет илјади луѓе, кои му кажаа последно збогум на момчето со ангелски глас во неговото родно Крушево, ќе останат во вечно паметење. Плачеа сите, но стравотно силно „убиваше“ лелекот на најблиските на Тоше - мајка му Доминика, татко му Никола, сестрата Дора и идната снаа, поранешната ракометарка Андријана Будимир.

Скршена од тага, без ронка сила и капка крв на своето лице, облеана во солзи кои не запираа откако ја дозна лошата вест, Будимир го испрати својот Тоше. Истиот оној човек кој (првпат) пред три и пол години и' го зеде срцето, а со кого наскоро со бурма на раката требаше да се заколне на вечна љубов. Будимир заедно со него ги закопа и нивните заеднички планови за стапување во брак и основање семејство.

Ненадејната трагедија уништи се'. Тоше планираше да се венчаат во манастирот кој го градеше самиот - „Св. Преображение“ над Крушево. Последниве месеци ги минаа заедно, девет месеци водеа заеднички живот во неговиот дом во Скопје и често патуваа во родното Крушево. Тоше и Будимир со сите сили се обидуваа да ја скријат својата среќа од јавноста, да уживаат во сопствениот мир и да видат што ќе им донесе иднината. Тоше, растргнат на милион страни, беше сигурен само во две работи - дарот од Господа, ангелскиот глас, и љубовта што ја чувствуваше кон Будимир.

„Барем да му родев дете. Ќе бев најсреќна во целиот свет“, потопена во тага Будимир им се доверила на своите пријателки. Тоше сакал семејство, сакал да се израдува на најмилото, да биде во прегратките на својата најголема љубов, да се буди и заспива покрај неа. И родителите на Проески ја сакаа Будимир, таа за нив веќе беше омилена како снаа.

Но, трагедијата прекина се'. Ја прекина нивната љубов. Андријана Будимир не можеше да се оддели од ковчегот со безживотното тело на својот сакан... „Те сакам, те сакам! Зошто? Зошто? Како да те пуштам да одиш под земја?“, непрестајно повторуваше Будимир на последното испраќање на Тоше, скршена од болка и речиси во полусвесна состојба. Заедно со неа, како утеха (ако постои), беа најблиските - мајка и', сестра и' и вујко и', кои пристигнаа од Србија.

Иако никогаш не призна јавно, Андријана се врати во Македонија поради Тоше. Овде почна и овде реши да се збогува со ракометот за да може да му го посвети целото време на својот човек. Се запиша на студии во Скопје, планираше да почне да се занимава со хуманитарна работа... Ја имаше апсолутната поддршка од својот сакан. Тоше дури се обиде и да и' помогне да потпише договор за да почне да игра во поранешниот клуб Кометал Ѓорче Петров. И тој и таа сакаа да се љубат, но далеку од очите на јавноста. Затоа само најблиските знаеја за она што му се случува на Тоше.

Будимир го мина со Тоше и неговиот последен одмор во Израел, беше со него и при последната посета на родителите и домот на Тоше во Крушево. Заедно заминаа и на неговото последно патување - таа се симна порано, попат, остана кај најблиските во Србија, чекајќи да и' се врати нејзиниот љубен од Хрватска.

Тој не се врати. Се врати само ковчегот со неговите останки. Будимир е скршена од болка. Изгуби се'. Најголемата среќа и' се претвори во најголема трагедија. Се' уште не може да верува. Го чека Тоше... Да се прегрнат, бакнат и да го продолжат животот заедно...

„А еден ден... Еден ден кога ќе се освестам, кога ќе се разбудам од најцрниот кошмар, ќе му раскажам на светот, ќе му раскажам каков човек беше Тоше навистина... Зашто јас најдобро го познавав...“, е последното нешто што Будимир им го кажала на своите најблиски.

Точно на полноќ сараевчани се собраа во огромен број на платото на спортскиот центар „Скендерија“ во Сараево, за чија обнова Тоше донираше значајни средства, за да му оддадат последна почит.

Палејќи свеќи, потпишувајќи се на поставената табла, му ги оставаа последните пораки. Со солзи ги пееја неговите песни, кои одекнуваа во центарот на Сараево.

Меѓу нив и неговите колеги. Глумецот Енес Бешлагиќ, кој не можеше да верува дека неговиот пријател веќе го нема, ни рече: „Вакво испраќање имаше само Тито“.

Без разлика на полот, годините и верската припадност, сите му се молеа на еден Господ за нивниот ангел Тоше. Врвулицата не стивнува ниту денеска, народот и натаму се собира. Најавен е концерт под наслов „На концерт на Тоше без Тоше“.

А пред македонската амбасада од рано утрово повторно редици за да се остави последниот поздрав - овдешните амбасадори, политичари и оние најбројните - неговите обожувачи.

Everyone was sad and lit their candles and sent their own messages. Croatia is showing it's respect, the Italian ambassador has sent their simpathy, sports halls will carry Tose's name, children's hospitals will have his name, the Hungarian embassy has sent its sympathy, a postage stamp will bear his image, a musical school in Bitola will have his name, British ambassador sent his sympathy, Spanish ambassador too, taxi's in Skopje have put images of Toshe on their windows, the town of Kumanovo is mourning, Macedonian community in New Jersey shows its sympathy, Ukrainian embassy sends its sympathy...so many more news, its hard to keep up with it all. There's talk of making Tose a saint, the Macedonian Church said it would have to look over the case, plus its too early. Why not anyway

I am very much...listening to his songs aren't the same, it's the same thought, he was too young, he was too good, it's never fair. He really stood out amongst the rest of the singers in Macedonia.

3tmk , I think you can compare this event with the tragic accident with Gundi and Kotkov in 1971 ... Look at Toshe as what Georgi Asparuhov was back then for the bulgarians.

I always admired Tose as the most popular and talented singer to ever come out of the Macedonian pop music scene. I am devastated by his death since i had the chance to personally meet and talk to him after his concert in Perth (W.Australia) 3 weeks ago.. i also took a pic with the guy, i cant believe this has happened... : Tose, 'angel si ti'.. he will forever be remembered as Macedonia's (and perhaps ex-yugos) Elvis Presley.

I always admired Tose as the most popular and talented singer to ever come out of the Macedonian pop music scene. I am devastated by his death since i had the chance to personally meet and talk to him after his concert in Perth (W.Australia) 3 weeks ago.. i also took a pic with the guy, i cant believe this has happened... : Tose, 'angel si ti'.. he will forever be remembered as Macedonia's (and perhaps ex-yugos) Elvis Presley.

Yeah exactly 'taga vo nas 'po tebe' ' like his song...he just knew how to bring together the people and put off a great show, i think he is what every Macedonian should look up to and aspire to be, as in i mean with heart and soul, and good intentions, unity...we just need the drive i'm very glad to see the collective support of Macedonians together, as well as that of ex-yu states and other countries.

Some Bosnian person on one of the newpapers said that in Sarajevo people are crying for him and that 'mourning like this hasnt been witnessed since the death of Josip Broz a.k.a TITO'.

Believe it Dejan, people called him Tose, and by the way i read before that 'Todor' in macedonian biblical meaning is somthing like "gods son" somthing like that, if i find the article ill post it up.

dejan im not saying somthing supernatural is the cause of this number '26' im just saying its interesting to say the least, a month ago i read a simmilar thing regarding Abraham Lincoln and J.F.K.. how j.f.k died exactly 100 years after Lincoln and they also had like a whole page of identical numbers and names, damn i wish i cud find the article its more spooky than this one about Tose and '26'.
At the end of the day, we dont have to make the guy a saint.. but he trully was like mother Theresa, he brought people of different religions and nationality together, the macedonians, Serbians, Croatians, Slovenians, Montenegrins and Bosniaks loved him. The Albanians in Macedonia loved him to, just go to the a1.com.mk web site and read all the comments macedonians, serbs, albanians etc have written about him. He was only 8 days younger than me... i know so many young people die every day, but its hard to explain why Tose's death has affected millions so much and i dont expect people from Bulgaria and Greece who dont know off him to understand this.. and thats fine.

^^Yeah i know what u mean i understand u...his memory will certainly live on in Macedonia's history, he'll never be forgotten we can be sure of that, i still find it hard to realise that he won't be singing anymore though.

While I've not been a fan of his, I do know he was an exceptional artist, a great humanitarian, down to earth person and a general good guy. The things he achieved by the age of 26, the amount of help and humanitarian work he did, the way he treated others. Well, I have to say he was a better man that I am. While all that only tels me he must have been one great guy, there were three photos from his funeral, that thaught me more about him than all of what was written in the news or on various message boards. I have seen a whole lot of photos from his funeral, which by it's very nature is sad, but there were these three gut wrenching photos that made tear up my eyes.
His girlfriend, Andrijana Budimir, kissing the cascet, being supported by others, saying goodbye to the love of her life. The shear pain and sorrow, man, just gut wrenching.
Her hair was a mess, her clothes were just plain black, the expression on her face screamed her world was shattered. She did not care how she looked, she could not care how she looked. She just wanted the love of her life back. This made me realise, he must have been the luckiest man on the planet to have her, for this, I belive, to have such a thing in your life, you have to be a good, decent, honest man. More than that, he must have been so much more, than any of us will ever know. So much more that we knew, so much more than he showed to the world. May he rest in peace. And while he is gone, I feel for her, more than I do for him. For she is left behind, alone, not a part of his family, for she was only his girlfirend. Alone, to deal with what is left of her life now. I'm sorry to have stolen this thread and wrote all this about someone who is not Toshe, but about someone whom he must have loved, loved deeply, not just loved, been in love with. But the dead need their peace, they ned us to remember them, but the living, the living need the pieces of life brought back together in order to survive. And love should conquer all, well I hope it does, for this is a sad story of love, of Toshes love for music, for his family, for his girlfirend, for his fans and lastly for the fellow man, he usualy never knew but helped. And love as much as it is the essence of life, it is a cold and broken mistress.

I'll end this post with the words of one of Lou Reed's great songs, Hallelujah:

If you have the song, play it, think of Toshe and those he left behind, hopefully you will find it as suiting to the occasion as I have. And I belive Toshe would agree. May the soil of your homeland, Macedonia lay easy on you and may you find your peace, wherever you are.

Andriana, be strong, this is the best I can come up with, for I know, there are no words that can help you in this darkest hour. Oh how I wish all this did not hapen.

DrKikazz it's the same details that caught my attention and thats's why I mentioned her (Budimir) in a couple of posts before U just put it much much much better.
I'm basically made of stone when it comes to unfortunate events, not just for some pop singers but for much closer people to me. But the details U mention got to me as well. I had the very same thoughts flowing through my mind.

Yep Dewrob, I'm kinda the same, or at least I act that way. But things like that seem to move me more that I'd ever expect. I just hope that through things like that I'll be able to learn to be a better man myself and be able to enjoy life and it's pleasures before it's too late. Cause as it's clearly evident, we take things for granted and as long as we have them we dismiss them to lightly for one reason or the other.

As much as I have written about this, I mean the length of my post, words fail me, for what can you truly say to anyone who has been struck with such pain and grief? I just hope I don't get to experience anything like it.

So at the sounds of Mr Buckley and his excellent Hallelijah I raise my glass of ale for Toshe, to find his eternal peace and to Andriana to find the strength to pull through. And I end my thaught with hope, that some day they shall be united, wherever that is possible so love can conquer all.

This guy was the only singer after the dissolution of Yugoslavia who managed to gain love and respect among all ex YU . He was equally loved in Serbia , Croatia , Macedonia , Montenegro and Slovenia

Македонската православна църква ще разгледа възможността Тоше Проески в бъдеще да бъде обявен за светец след зачестилите молби на вярващите. Владика Петър посочи, че е твърде рано да се каже дали ще се случи това, но при взимането на окончателното решение под внимание ще бъде взети всички факти за хуманитарната и религиозната дейност на известната македонска музикална звезда.

26-годишният македонски поп-идол Тоше Проески загина на 16 октомври при автомобилна катастрофа в Хърватия. Той бе изпратен в последния му път с държавни почести, а в деня на погребението му бе обявен национален траур.
