I consider Pangasinan as my second province kasi nag-aral ako Sa Dagupan City for 4 years kaya medyo natuto ako ng Panggalatok. he he.:)
Tarlaqueno-ako December 4th, 2009, 12:02 PM Red Camia ata yung malaking Super Market dun, tapos may Allied Bank, Banco San Juan, Land Bank din. I hope more investments will come in sa Camiling by 2010 pag natapos yung bagong Public Market.
Ang Tarlac College of Agriculture, soon to be a University, ang pinkamalaking school sa Camiling.
Dustin December 6th, 2009, 04:17 AM Im from Camiling. Pero dito na ako sa Manila based. Bihira lang ako umuwi pero I used to read articles here in the Internet about Tarlac City. Sayang naman ang Metrotown. Dahil sa Mall na yan, buhay na buhay yung lugar na yun sa may Mc Arthur Hi-way. Saka dami rin pumupunta doon dahil along the hi-way din.
Siguro halos 5 years na. Nakakamiss kasi yung pagpunta doon. Sa Sta. Ignacia din at sa Mayantoc.
Dustin December 6th, 2009, 04:26 AM Alam mo kc what is so good about a community that is so laidback ay para kang nag nonostalgia trip. Para kang natatransport in another time. Though development is a good thing, sana ma maintain din yung aesthetic features ng isang lugar. Just like vigan or legazpi city sa Albay. I'll set a date for myself para bumalik sa Camiling. Namimiss ko na kasi... one of my favorite town sa Tarlac Province...and sa buong Pilipinas for that matter.

Tarlaqueno-ako December 18th, 2009, 11:36 AM Wala talaga nag popost dito he he. Hello Igimaster, Cq7cc2 and Dustin.
Dustin December 19th, 2009, 07:04 AM Wala talaga nag popost dito he he. Hello Igimaster, Cq7cc2 and Dustin.
OO NGA WALA NGA MGA FORUMER. 3 LANG YATA TAYO. tuwing last week ng November until january the following year sa feast ng 3kings. Dapat makita mo yun pag gabi as in fantastic ang pagkakagawa. Sana lang ma maintain na this time.
Tarlaqueno-ako December 20th, 2009, 05:34 AM Thanks for the info and comments Dustin. Magpapaturo pa ako. he he.Babalik ako sa Manila ng 27, then balik ako ulit Tarlac ng 30. Tapos may SCTEX pa tayo, kaya parang lalong lumapit ang Manila. With SCTEX, I just hope na di lang sa Clark at Subic ang pupuntahan ng mga foreign investors kundi pati na rin sa Luisita Industrial Park para lalo pang umunlad ang Tarlac City and province.

Nakakapanibago tingnan ang junction ng Romulo hi-way at Mc Arthur Hi-way sa Tarlac City, ang ganda.
Tarlaqueno-ako December 27th, 2009, 01:24 AM Tentative opening date daw ng SM Tarlac City is Feb. 2010.

i'mproud2btarlaqueño December 30th, 2009, 04:02 AM grabe, i can't wait to see and visit our own SM..... i'm so excited na talaga....
Dustin December 30th, 2009, 06:57 AM binabaha ba ang Tarlac City? may ilog pala kayo...
Hindi binabaha ang Tarlac City as a whole. Inayos na kasi yung sewerage system lalo na sa highway and SM also is to construct flood-control infrastracture in line with their presence here., as part of their social commitment. Plus the fact that we have the Tarlac River. Di ba nga Tarlac is in Central Luzon which is the rice granary of the Philippines. The river acts as a catch-basin so that the rice fields wont be flooded.
Dustin December 30th, 2009, 07:01 AM grabe, i can't wait to see and visit our own SM..... i'm so excited na talaga....
Ako din i am so excited lalo na for our city. Ten years ago napag iwanan tayo...ngayon we are one of the front runners economically.
Siguro dapat magkaroon ng mini commercial strip doon to cater the needs of employees and students in the area.
Tarlaqueno-ako January 2nd, 2010, 11:37 AM YUNG RED RIBBON NASA TAPAT NG SILAYAN CENTRE THEN STRETCH KA PA NG KONTI MALAPIT SA JECSON NANDUN NAMAN ANG YELLOW CAB PIZZA. PERO IN CASE LANG YOU DONT KNOW PA...

About yung Robinson, yung idea kasi is the whole central park establishments na existing na dati formed part ng Robinson's Luisita ngayon. Yung mga jollibee, max's, pancake house, dencios, mga bangko, etc... they all formed part ng Robinsons hindi nga lang sila sheltered under one roof as in a usual mall setting. Parang Al fresco... kasama yung STarbucks (we were the 1st to have it na hindi enclosed sa mall in the region) at yung pizza hut.
I should know kasi my tito works in CEO at sila ang nagbibigay ng construction permit. Its either feb daw but april is definitely grand opening na.
Sabi kasi dati mcdonalds.
How old are you na pala if you don't mind? Ako sa Clark ang aking work. Kaya I get to come home more often.
Siguro dapat magkaroon ng mini commercial strip doon to cater the needs of employees and students in the area.

GreenPeas January 3rd, 2010, 05:54 AM May this year ang opening ng SM Tarlac
Dustin January 4th, 2010, 01:47 AM May this year ang opening ng SM Tarlac
As I recall kc ginawa yung bridge na yun during the APEC Summit Meeting na ginanap sa Subic.
Sabagay may BOT naman...sana lang may makaisip and sana may political will.
Si Tarlaqueno-ako active so far.
Ignacia, Lapaz, Victoria, Mayantoc.
Mga kabalen...ano pa hinihintay nyo?
Tarlaqueno-ako January 4th, 2010, 02:46 PM Yap tama ka. Kakainggit yung ibang thread, dami nila nag popost like sa Cavite, Pangasinan etc. Si ccq27 gusto ko magpost kasi may pics sya palagi pag nagpost. he he.
Announce ko lang pala, may bagong tayong branch ang BDO, one of the largest banks in the country sa hometown namin sa Camiling. Katapat sya ng Camiling Supermarket Inc.This brings a total of 12 banks in Camiling. The new Public Market is still under construction and also the new Church. Visit www.camiling.net to view pictures and know more about Camiling.
Tarlaqueno-ako January 4th, 2010, 03:01 PM View mo yan Dustin, may mga pictures dyan ang Camiling. According to Wikipedia, naka 75M daw ang income ng Camiling nitong 2008. To be qualified as a city, kelangan at least maka 100 million sa income for two consecutive years and at least 150,000 population at sa area naman ay at least 100 sqkm. Sa Camiling, in terms of population, nasa 75,000 lang. Paniqui, Capas, Concepcion and Camiling are the first class municipalities of Tarlac.
i'mproud2btarlaqueño January 6th, 2010, 11:21 AM Di ba as stated sa wikipedia, february 12 ang opening ng SM, pero soft opening pa lang ito. Maybe April or May nga ung Grand Opening. Araw-araw kc akong dumadaan doon eh kasi pumapasok ako Sampu.
hakz2007 January 7th, 2010, 04:40 AM State-of-the-art legislative building to rise in Tarlac (http://www.pna.gov.ph/index.php?idn=2&sid=&nid=2&rid=251239)
TARLAC CITY, Tarlac, Jan. 7 (PNA) -- A state-of-the-art legislative building would soon rise in this city.
Mayor Genaro “Aro” Mendoza said the building will be based on a plan designed by the council through the city’s Engineering and Architect offices with the help of a private architect.
“A few months from now, a modern and state-of-the-art legislative building of the city government would soon be an additional attraction and will add beauty to the image of this city,” Mendoza said.
He said the legislative building will have four floors with a bridge directly connected to the executive office.
The building will have a 300-square-meter session hall built in with cameras and flat screen monitors, so that the council’s session will be easily viewed by the public, he said.
Mendoza said the new legislative building will have separate rooms for sessions, public hearings and other events.
But just like the old building, he said, all councilors will each have offices aside from the Vice Mayor’s office and the office of the Secretariat.
As proposed by Councilor Andrew Mendoza, an Electronic Library (E-lib) will also be placed inside the new building, which could be used by the students for their research.
Mendoza said the new facility will not only serve the above purposes but will also be income-generating on the part of the city government as the first floor will be built with stalls for entrepreneurs who want to display and sell their goods.
Mendoza added aside from the basic services to be given at the facility, the building will serve as a symbol of the autonomy between the legislative and the executive based on the real meaning of democracy.
“With that principle, all projects and programs designed by the executive will be properly approved by the council under the spirit of unity and respect according to the provision of the law,” he said.
With the construction of the new building, Mendoza expressed belief that government services will be more efficient and effective.
The facility will not also project good image but will also symbolize progress, order and peace, he added. (PNA)
hakz2007 January 8th, 2010, 09:55 AM Thousands of Tarlaquenos undergo livelihood training program (http://www.pna.gov.ph/index.php?idn=2&sid=&nid=2&rid=251564)
CAPITOL HILL, Tarlac City, Jan. 8 (PNA) - Thousands of local residents here underwent a livelihood training program that provides opportunities to gain more knowledge, skills and ability as a way to excel in a globally competitive work environment.
A total of 1,046 individuals from the different barangays in the western part of this city have graduated from different courses and received their certificates of completion Thursday.
This brings the total to 2,821 individuals who benefited from the program in this city alone.
The livelihood training program was spearheaded by Tarlac Rep. Jose “Aping” Yap, Gov. Vic Yap and the Technical Educational Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Rep. Yap said the program is aimed to help those who would want to undergo skills training in order to venture into their own businesses or to anyone who is interested in learning the technical skills.
The elder Yap said that these trainings are one way of providing more Tarlaquenos the opportunity to earn decent income for them to counter the economic crunch that was felt since mid-2009.
Gov. Yap, for his part, pointed out that Tarlaquenos now are the emerging leaders in conducting quality livelihood and training programs in the country.
“We have the human resources that are skilled enough to lead in the field of information technology…you have added to that now,” the younger Yap said.
He added that all graduates from these training programs can be globally competitive.
The courses offered included motorcycle mechanic, cellphone repair, manicure and pedicure, dressmaking, haircut and barbering, practical electricity, food processing, massage therapy, shielded metal arc welding, basic computer and barista and food and beverage. (PNA)

Saan itatayo ang building? Katabi lang ba ng City Hall yan?
hakz2007 January 9th, 2010, 03:42 AM ^^wala pang balita kung saan maybe our fellow Tarlaqueño forumers could give some infos....
Maybe April or May nga ung Grand Opening. Araw-araw kc akong dumadaan doon eh kasi pumapasok ako Sampu.
I mean well sa sasabihin ko ah. As in nakalagay "the mall is currently under construction"...pero ang totoo wala naman".
Wikipedia kasi pwede maging source kahit sino. It is a freestanding site na pwedeng i-edit na kahit sino.
Nakalagay nga dati sa Wikipedia na ewan ko kung inalis na... ang ganito "TARLAC CITY WAS GOVERNED BY NINOY AQUINO ETC" We all know na mali yun...Sen. Ninoy was mayor of Concepcion, Tarlac then he later became Governor of Tarlac Province.
By the end of January siguro marami na silang natapos sa exterior facade ng Mall.

Sana may mag-attempt na eedit, tapos maglagay ng mga pictures of Tanedo St. (The major business thoroughfare ng Tarlac), TSU, Tarlac Capitol, Metrotown Mall, Magic Star Mall, Luisita Center, Don Bosco and later the new SM City Tarlac.
Tarlaqueno-ako January 10th, 2010, 06:03 AM Para makita naman nila how progressive Tarlac City now.
He he. Sana may mag post dito ng picture ng Dolores Hot Spring ng Tarlac City.
sampukid January 10th, 2010, 07:53 AM been to dolores hot springs many times before, many believe na miraculous at may healing powers ang tubig na galing sa balon, daming tao na pumupunta dun pag fiesta nila, eto direction.. from tarlac city take any bus that goes to camiling, baba sa baras baras which is before san juan de mata if i'm not mistaken, then take ng tricycle at sabihin na punta ng hot springs

Minsan tityempo ako at papasyal.
Sayang as in sayang.
Nope. As far as I know hindi mo ito makikita along Mc. Arthur hi-way. Yung "Death March Memorial" pag dumaan sa Bamban ang bus sya yung makikita mo along the highway. But this is the "Capas National Shrine".

I will vote for him because of what he've done fore our city rather than Congressman Yap.

Any details regarding SM Tarlac?
I will vote for him because of what he've done fore our city rather than Congressman Yap.
And one of the biggest achievement nya during his term as city mayor ay ang influx ng mga giant businesses like WILCON DEPOT, ROBINSONS, SM SUPERMALL.
As yung mga islands naman particularly along Romulo Blvd from TSU hanggang Capitol, sana pagandahin nila. Take a cue sa mga ginawang newly refurbished islands and rotonda sa Angeles City at San Fernando...napakagandang tingnan.
As in walang nag memaintain.

May nagchange nga sa SM since noong umuwi ako noong New Year. Pinagaganda na ang exterior facade. Yung Metrobank at Natasha ba as is na yun sa harapan ng SM?

Thanks for the information. Try naming mamasyal in the future pag may time, maybe sa summer. In my little effort try ko ring i promote ang province natin sa mga kakilala ko and even sa mga kamag-anak. How about yung Wonderland Resort sa Bamban yung along the highway, buhay pa ba yun? Mukhang well know na rin eto.

Dustin January 12th, 2010, 01:37 AM By the way, Fiesta Season na!
Maraming activities. May street-dancing, Battle of the bands, variety shows, dance and song, and the Mutya ng Tarlac search.
So invite namin kayo sa aming fiesta!

I assure you the best talaga. The place is very beautiful and the food is reasonably priced. World class talaga.
Kung suswertihin ka...baka makasabay mo pa ang mga prominent na tao like we did.

Yap.masuerte ang Tarlac being chosen as this year's Palarong Pambansa host province. Congratulations! In this event, more than 10,000 daw ang pupunta sa lugar to participate and witness the event to be held by April 2010.
Nandoon kanina si Rayver Cruz, ang tangkad saka tisoy pala he he.

Galing ako sa Dasma City (youngest city of Cavite)kanina,
Sana ganun ang gawin sa Romulo Bvd. maski from TSU lang hanggang Ednor Colleges, he he.
Musta ang Tarlac City 2010 Fiesta? Kelan ang Malatarlac Festival? Any photos?

San Vicente kasi is the biggest barangay in the whole of Tarlac Province (in terms of land area). It starts from TSU (located along Romulo Bldvd na paglabas mo ng Ninoy Aquino Blvd). The road that hosts some major government agencies (BIR, TNHS, DBP, LTO, NBI, SSS, POST OFFICE) is called Macabulos Dr. (nasa San Vicente ka na nun including Tarlac Capitol).
Nasa San Vicente ang Red Cross, Capitol, Museo de Tarlac, Court of Justice, Maria Clara Center, Diwa ng Tarlac, Soil Testing Center, Camp Macabulos, Catholic Cemetery, Registry of Deeds, GSIS at marami pang social at commercial institutions.
Then from the San Vicente crossing (intersection) Romulo Hi-way na. It leads to Western towns like Camiling, Sta. Ignacia and towns of Pangasinan.
From there either diretso ka ng Mc. Arthur Hiway or gamit ka ng SCTex.
Yung San Vicente-San Sebastian Diversion road marami na ring commercial establishments. The biggest is the Talon City (as planned). May existing na housing projects, yung Tarlac Young Achievers School etc.
Yung Talon City is only adjacent to SM City Tarlac. So pag natapos sya...para kang nasa SM North Edsa-Trinoma Area.
Di nga ba na reclassify yung portion na yun from agricultural to industrial. So imminent talaga ang pagboom ng area.
Dustin January 25th, 2010, 01:59 PM I have photos of Tarlac Cathedral, Tarlac State University, Mc. Donalds Romulo Blvd, a portion of Ninoy Aquino Blvd (with the Ninoy Statue), some market scenes and tinapa (smoke fish).
I didnt take shots of The New Legislative Bldg medyo marami kasi nakablock on the rendering at sa site.
Konti lang muna pictures ah kasi medyo late na kasi last Sunday I have to go back asap sa Clark. Pero next time try ko kunin Robinsons Luisita, F. Tanedo and Mc. Arthur Hi-way. Also im planning to go as far as Camiling and Paniqui and elsewhere in the province (kung saan ako mapunta) to take some shots. I will also take shots of SM Tarlac.

Im posting the pictures right now....

Mukhang mahaba. It seems a major highway. What do you think.
Dustin January 25th, 2010, 02:34 PM i'll check on it.
Dustin January 25th, 2010, 02:37 PM ask ko lang where are you right now?

igi_master January 26th, 2010, 06:28 AM Pilgrims seek healing in La Paz, Tarlac
Source: Philstar
http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=541306&publicationSubCategoryId=86
Every town has a story to tell. But right now, the town of La Paz, Tarlac, has many stories of faith and healing to tell, making it a favorite destination of pilgrims aching for miracles.
There is that story two years ago of the Garingo family from Paniqui, Tarlac, desperately seeking help for their child who was full of sores. Upon entering the parish church of La Paz, the child immediately ran to the altar where Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje) was enshrined. The child’s wounds were healed.
Then there was that woman from Cavite who was stricken with cancer. In her dream, she saw the image of a Blessed Virgin of Tarlac. She went to several churches in Tarlac until she reached La Paz and recognized the image at the altar. She fell on her knees and prayed. Yes, her wish was granted. Today, she remains a devotee of Our Lady of La Paz.
In 2006, Jansen Bonus was comatose for eight days and doctors had little hope of recovery for him. His family stormed the church of La Paz with prayers. Yes, the boy got the bonus his family wanted.
Capiz Calilong of Amucao, Tarlac, had a cancerous mole on the cheek. Non-stop prayers before Our Lady of La Paz led to a new diagnosis: The cancer was gone.
These are but a few of the stories gathered and narrated by Fr. Ramon Capuno, rector of La Paz’s parish church, which was declared a diocesan church — a santuario — in 2006. He conducts healing Masses especially for pilgrims who troop to La Paz in buses.
Miracles abound in the history of La Paz, which was a popular stopover for merchants and tourists from Pampanga, Tarlac and Nueva Ecija. According to old folks, thorny and sticky amorsecos would be seen on the skirt of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage. These weeds found on Our Lady’s garment made folks believe that Our Lady went out of her way to protect these travelers from harm, both along the Chico River and on land.
Fr. Capuno says that the first Catholic Church in La Paz was built around 1917, when the image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage was acquired by parishioners through donations.
La Paz remained peaceful, he says, even during the time of the rebel Hukbalahap movement. No severe damage was wrought by the Mt. Pinatubo eruption and the recent Typhoon Ondoy even as certain areas were underwater for days.
“Whatever miraculous healings occurred, we can attribute to the intercession of Our Lady. What is important is for us to strengthen our faith in God,” says the charismatic, 40-year-old Fr. Capuno, a Philosophy, Theology and Canon Law graduate of the University of Santo Tomas. To strengthen his parishioners’ faith, Fr. Capuno has been organizing catechetical classes in La Paz barangays ever since he was assigned to this town in 2006.
As La Paz marks its town fiesta on January 23 and 24, Fr. Capuno hopes it will be a celebration made meaningful by a renewed faith in God.

Tarlaqueno-ako January 28th, 2010, 11:58 AM TARLAC CITY — A Korean delegation, headed by Mayor Kim Jaen Hung of Gangseo District, City of Seoul, attended the 9th Malatarlac Festival here recently.
During their visit, the Koreans also donated 10 brand new computer units to the City Government as tokens of appreciation.
They also brought with them boxes of noodles for the Feeding Program of Mayor Genaro “Aro” Mendoza, in relation with the Nutrition Program of his government.
Last Monday morning, the City Government of Tarlac and Gangseo District signed a Sisterhood Agreement to strengthen the ties between the two cities.
It can be recalled that last year, the two cities have inked a Friendship Agreement which includes the frequent exchange visits of both city officials. Mendoza said a sisterhood with the Gangseo District is a big blessing. “Actually, there’s more to come,” the mayor exclaimed. He said that the Gangseo mayor pledged to donate additional units of computers for the 76 barangays of the city.
“We are proud that Gangseo officials have chosen Tarlac City as their second home,” the mayor added.
Mendoza disclosed that the people of Tarlac should not be amazed if Korean visitors multiply in the city. He said that at present, there are more than 1,000 students enrolled at the Tarlac State University studying the English language.
“They prefer to stay in our place because aside from our being hospitable, our city is one of the peaceful areas in the country,” Mendoza stated.
The two top city officials expressed hope that the sisterhood agreement will last and bring prosperity and progress to the economic condition of this city, especially the tourism industry.

Tarlaqueno-ako January 28th, 2010, 12:05 PM Tarlac City one of improved mid-sized cities in country
BY: Mar T Supnad
TARLAC CITY– This component city is now one of the most fast-developed and improved mid-sized cities in the country, based on a recent survey.
This was the finding of the Philippine Cities Competitiveness Ranking Program Policy Center of Asian Institute of Management which conducted the survey, showing that Tarlac City under the leadership of Mayor Genaro Mendoza appeared to be one of the most progressive in terms of economic development in the mid-sized cities category in the whole country.
Ahead of slim points were highly urbanized cities such as Olongapo and General Santos which garnered 7.05 and 6.94, rating while Tarlac City got 6.80.
AIM based its findings on Cost of Doing Business, Dynamism of Local Economy, Human Resource and Training, Infrastructure, Local Government Unit Responsiveness, at Quality of Life aspects.
Mendoza said this was the result of the Tarlakenyos’ support on his various programs aimed at upgrading the economic development and living conditions of the people here who have been provided improved and immediate services from the City administration.
Among these that have contributed to the economic development of the city are the opening of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, the completion of the public market and the imminent entry of various giant establishments such as Robinsons and Shoemart.
“Noong una ay ang pagkilala ng Commission on Audit sa atin bilang pinakamalakas na lungsod sa larangan ng kita sa buong rehiyon, at itong panibagong karangalang ito ay nagpapatunay lamang ng pananagana ng mga programang pinasimulan ng ating alkalde,” said a source from the City administrator office.
It will be recalled that Mendoza was given an award for being “Most Responsive Local Government Chief Executive” due to his openness and accessibility to the public, making the community closer to the city government.
This award was given during the recent “Usapang Pilipino,” a national radio program aired and launched by the DzRB and DzRM.

ok ang laki ng improvement ng Camiling. Are those pics taken from the site you told me to visit? Yung portal ng Camiling town? Indeed the pics are nice.
Buti nga SM is to open soon. At least naman may alternative sila aside from magic and metro. And Robinson naman is quite far sa city proper. Im also seeing them at the public market and "bagsakan ng gulay".

Hi Dustin. Thanks for your comments. Yes, thanks for www.camiling.net, I've taken those pics from that website so I can post in this forum in order to promote my hometown. So everyone can visit our beautiful place.
Galing ako sa Tarlac last weekend. So far di pa ako naka meet ng Koreans, I'm happy that they like our place. I'm hoping they will also pour hefty investments in our city in the near future.
Tarlaqueno-ako February 1st, 2010, 12:06 PM Tarlac City is really doing well. I've noticed the new businesses left and right along Mc Arthur Highway from Bgy San Nicolas, San Sebastian and San Rafael. Then Robinson's Luisita is also enjoying a good share of visitors/patrons.
I also saw Tarpaulin announcing the Grand Opening of SM City on April 23, 2010. And they are still hiring applicants, kaya sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho go na kayo!
Tarlaqueno-ako February 1st, 2010, 12:12 PM Then, residential developers are there, like FilInvest, Camella Homes, Fiesta Communities sa Matatalaib and others.
Ang layo pa bago tayo maka Thread 2 he he.

I don't know how to post it here.
Then, maraming namamasyal sa Ma. Christina Park. Sana pagandahin din nila ang Romulo Boulevard like Ninoy Aquino Boulevard, maganda kung may garden sa gitna tapos may lightings din to make it more lively especially at night times.
Hanggang Luisita lang ako, mag didine in sana ako sa Mang Inasal kaso wala nang budget he he kaya next time na lang. But earlier, I tried kumain doon sa May Wet Market, may kainan doon, masarap yung pancit Palabok nila kaya malamang babalik ako doon, malapit sa Mc Do sa river side.
Dito sa Tarlac Thread, wala man lang maki join. he he.

As I recall kc ginawa yung bridge na yun during the APEC Summit Meeting na ginanap sa Subic.
Sabagay may BOT naman...sana lang may makaisip and sana may political will.
What do you mean by BOT Bro? Build-Operate-Transfer? Ibig ba sabihin niyan magpapabayad sila sa mga dadaan to have their ROI? Huwa na lang tama yung ganung tulay.

Well tulay ang pinag-uusapan natin so most probably Build and Transfer (BT). Marami kasi yan. I can elaborate if you want.
Build-and-transfer (BT). - A contractual arrangement whereby the project proponent undertakes the financing and construction of a given infrastructure or development facility and after its completion turns it over to the government agency or local government unit concerned, which shall pay the proponent on an agreed schedule its total investment expended on the project, plus a reasonable rate of return thereon.

Tarlaqueno-ako February 6th, 2010, 03:42 AM State-of-art Tarlac venue to hold CLRAA meet
(The Philippine Star) Updated March 10, 2009 12:00 AM
SAN JOSE, Tarlac , Philippines – Tarlac Gov. Victor Areno Yap, said yesterday the province is ready to host the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) athletic meet on March 15-21 at the P250-million Tarlac Recreational Park (TRP), considered as one of the biggest sports venues in the country.
TRP has 60 hectares of land wherein 35 hectares has been developed for the holding of the various athletic events. The rest of the site will be used for motor cross field, BMX events, jogging, trekking, mountain climbing and other outdoor activities.
Yap said that the structures being constructed in the place include a grandstand with a view of the whole sports park, a track oval, three volleyball courts, basketball court, baseball and softball fields and dormitories for the athletes.
Yap added that the complex is being built not only for athletic competition but also as an eco-friendly recreation area.
“Eco-friendly sports complex is what we are building,” he said.
He added that the said sports and recreational park was conceived by his father, then governor Jose V. Yap, now a second district representative, after the former Tarlac athletic field was converted into a commercial area leaving the province with no sports facilities for years. In fact, it will be the first time the province will host the CLRAA meet after 20 years. – Ric Sapnu

Lapus dismayed over heavy traffic during CLRAA kick-off
BY: Eden Gutierrez
SAN JOSE, Tarlac -- Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Jesli Lapus was a bit dismayed over the traffic jam he experienced over the weekend during the opening ceremonies of the Central Luzon Regional Athletic Association (CLRAA) Meet, held at the Tarlac Recreational Park (TRP) in this town.
Lapus, a prominent son of the province, was invited by the provincial government to be a guest of honor and speaker of the event.
Lapus added that if the province of Tarlac really wants to host the Palarong Pambansa in 2010, they have to settle the traffic problem first, prepare everything and settle some snags that might hassle the said big event.
Heavy traffic here began when delegates from the seven participating provinces arrived in the province.
“Sa sobrang dami ng sasakyan, hindi namin na-kontrol kaagad ang trapiko kaya nagkabuhul-buhol at naging dahilan upang maantala ang mga delegado at mga bisita sa pagpunta dito,” a traffic enforcer said.
Visitors from other provinces also commented that Tarlac may not be ready to host this event for lack of facilities.
“Hinog sa pilit ang preparasyon ng Tarlac,” they said. Some motorists, meanwhile, complained of lack of parking space.
Mediamen also found some marshals of the event very arrogant.
In his statement, Lapus emphasized that this sports event is necessary in enhancing students’ good education, especially those in the lower level.
“Sports must be embedded as early as in lower education,” Lapus said. “Children should encourage to learn and play. They need to conquer themselves, they need to outdo themselves,” Lapus added.
He said that in events like this, integrity is important and honesty must be the number one standard.
He also announced that modernizations of sports events are now at hand like digital reporting, that helps a lot of media people their news reporting.
The secretary also said lack of support for sports is the reason why the country has poor athletes, especially those competing abroad. But he ended up encouraging the athletes, saying, “Hangad ko ang inyong tagumpay.”
However, Governor Victor Areno Yap was very grateful for the support he received from different sectors and agencies in hosting the CLRAA Meet. He thanked all delegates from the whole region, fully supported by their local government officials.
Yap said the fair weather complemented the opening of the CLRAA Meet.
Yap also announced that some senators also made pledges for the completion of the TRP.
The 60-hectare TRP, when fully completed, can be considered one of the most state-of-the-art sports complex not only in the country but also in Asia.
The CLRAA Meet, which kicked off Sunday, will end on Saturday, March 21.

Tarlaqueno-ako February 14th, 2010, 01:04 AM Palaro 2010’ texting services launched
BY: EDEN GUTIERREZ
CAPITOL HILL, Tarlac City -- The provincial government of Tarlac, the provincial Department of Education (DepEd) and telecommunications giant Smart Communications Inc. have launched last Tuesday the “Palarong Pambansa” texting service (info-board).
The Palaro info-board is a text-based, free-of-charge text broadcast system that will be used in updating the people about the schedules, news, games result, trivia and any information related to the 2010 Palarong Pambansa that will be held in the province of Tarlac this coming April 11 to 17.
All updates and information that a Smart subscriber would receive during the duration of this texting service are for free. All those who would like to receive information about the 2010 Tarlac Palarong Pambansa can register for free by just typing PALARO [space] REG [space] NAME [slash] AREA [slash] AGE then send to 71708752 [PALARO REG VIC/R3/43]. Area means the Region where you belong.
A message coming from Palaro 2010 will ask a subscriber to type PALARO [space] PUSH [space] ON and send 71708752 [PALARO PUSH ON]. Upon registering successfully, you can now ask any question that pertains to the Palaro 2010 by sending your message PALARO [space] FEEDBACK [space] MESSAGE to 7000-TRLC [8752].
The aim of the texting services is to provide information and involve all Smart subscribers to the upcoming Palarong Pambansa.
The provincial government likewise opened four social networking site accounts for the Palarong Pambansa. These are Face Book, Friendster, Twitter and Multiply. For those who have Face Book and Friendster accounts search p.pambansa2010tarlac@gmail.com and for those who have Twitter and Multiply accounts, search ppambansatarlac.
Gov. Victor Yap thanked Smart for the services it has provided for the Palarong Pambansa and urged all Smart subscribers to register and be involved in the biggest sports spectacle in the country.

Tarlaqueno-ako February 14th, 2010, 01:07 AM Thousands attend Grand Malatarlak Festival 2010
TARLAC CITY - Thousands of visitors attended a more festive Grand Malatarlak celebration here that was highlighted with a pompous array of entertainment, as gratitude to Mayor Genaro “Aro” Mendoza’s advocacy of the renaissance of culture and history.
Highlighting the usual variety of events were the Grand Parade and the all-time favorite Search for Mutya ng Lungsod ng Tarlac which featured 17 candidates who are seemingly qualified to join the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, Tarlac City Tourism Council chair Lydia Co said.
Co said that the funding for such a lavish preparation did not solely come from the people’s money but from the civil society and business sector spearheaded by Tarlac Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its counterpart, the Tarlac Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
“The more-than-a-week celebration was a manifestation of the cordial spirit of Tarlaqueños who, after a year of hard work, deserve relaxation,” Co said.
Every night, thousands of Tarlaqueños and guests from other municipalities and provinces, including balikbayans, gathered at Tarlac Plazuela F. Tanedo Street and other venues to witness artistic and cultural presentations participated in by multi-sectoral groups.
Mendoza thanked the locals, particularly the benefactors and the civil society, for being supportive to cultural and historical awareness, saying that it’s time for Tarlac City and its people to shine and also stand out in the eyes of fellow Filipinos.
“Thru our celebrations at Malatarlak Festival we can mirror the peculiar culture of our people in the form of songs, dances, products, and services and other forms of socio-anthropological presentations,” Mendoza added.

Dustin February 15th, 2010, 04:04 AM To Tarlaqueno-ako and the rest... hope you like the photos.
If I may request lang, if you're going to quote any of the above...pls dont include the photos anymore para hindi double posting. Thanks!
Dustin February 15th, 2010, 04:33 AM Downtown Concepcion, Tarlac (February 07, 2010)
I've been to Concepcion last Sunday (took the jeepney from Angeles City to Concepcion) and I was so glad to see some major development in this town. I had my lunch at their Jollibee branch before I went home to Tarlac City. I also rode the jeepney back home and it was so humid. It was 2:00 in the afternoon and the sun was blisterring hot.

I have to say that the building that host this 7-11 branch is quite a charm. Beautiful!

I heard Mc. Donalds is about to set-up its branch in Concepcion, Tarlac too. Good news indeed!

Tarlaqueno-ako February 15th, 2010, 12:17 PM guys,,,,, watch kayo ng TRIP-na TRIP of ABS-CBN.... they will feature our Province... they've already taped the episode...,... I saw Ms. KAt Kat de Castro and Jayson Gainza at the Kart City.... just in front of SM CITYTARLAC>>>>>>
Tarlaqueno-ako February 15th, 2010, 12:25 PM Thank you Dustin, Nagustohan ko talaga. he he Ang linaw ng kuha.
Palagay ko eto ang susunod na magiging city sa Tarlac, kasi pinaka-populated at saka in terms of revenues, nangunguna sya along with Capas, Camiling and Paniqui.

PANIQUI, Tarlac, Feb. 25 (PNA) -- A total of 1,217 graduates of different courses received their certificates of completion from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at the Don Juan and Dona Lualhati Gymnasium here recently.
All the graduates came from the different barangays in this northern municipality of the province as part of the “Pagsasanay na Pangkabuhayan (PnP) training program.
This brings a total of 22,000 trainees from the province graduated from different courses since Gov. Vic Yap initiated the program in 2007.
The training program, through the full support of TESDA, aims to provide skills training and retooling to those who cannot afford to go to college due to poverty.
Yap said that “access is what the government is giving to Tarlaquenos.“
“Access to education, access to training, access to jobs, access to opportunities and likewise encourage everyone to grab these opportunities which really belong to every Paniquenos and particularly to all Tarlaquenos,” the governor said.
For the period of six to 10 days, different courses were being taught to the trainees in their chosen field like motorcycle mechanic, cell phone repair, manicure/pedicure, dressmaking, haircut/barbering, practical electricity, food processing, massage therapy, shielded metal arc welding, basic computer and barista/food and beverage.
Engineer Pepito Suba, senior TESDA specialist, was the one who confirmed the new technical skill graduates.

hakz2007 February 27th, 2010, 04:43 AM SC’s Justice on Wheels brings to Tarlac (http://www.pna.gov.ph/index.php?idn=2&sid=&nid=2&rid=261158)
TARLAC CITY, Tarlac, Feb. 26 (PNA) – Aimed to hasten the resolution of cases of the detainees in the province, court officials have recently brought the Justice on Wheels (JOW), a mobile court to the Tarlac provincial jail here.
The Supreme Court (SC) has launched the JOW program, in coordination with the provincial government of Tarlac, with an objective to address the serious backlog of court cases.
The JOW projects aims to literally bring the courts to the people via an air-conditioned bus that houses a small courtroom and offices.
It is divided into two main sections—the front section serves as the courtroom while the rear section serves as the mediation room.
The mobile court is provided with a presiding judge, clerk of court, prosecutor, public attorney, court stenographer, docket clerk, process server, driver and security guard.
The judges are assigned to the mobile court on a rotation basis.
Assisted by the members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Tarlac chapter, mobile court-annexed mediation, legal aid clinics as well as medical and dental missions have also been conducted for the inmates.
Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno led a forum via Information Dissemination through a Dialogue between barangay officials of this city on increasing access to justice wherein all sectors agreed on the benefits of the JOW program.
Gov. Victor A. Yap underscored the SC’s mobile court program as he defended the High Court’s record in addressing the backlog court cases.
“The alleged slow judicial process is a union of several factors, ranging from our judicial structure which adheres to the constitutional mandate of according due process to litigants, to insufficiency of resources,” Yap said.
“Just the same, the high court has come out with various rules and programs to improve the administration of justice,” he said.
The governor also accompanied Puno and other SC officials inside the jail facilities and had conversations with some detainees. (PNA)
Dustin February 28th, 2010, 02:35 AM Good morning! I'm back here sa Clark ulit. Kahapon nasa Tarlac ako. I forgot my digicam kaya wala akong pics.
I just want to say ang ganda ng Capitol grounds kapag gabi.

May large-sizes din sila for takeout orders. Masarap ang gawa nila.

Malapit lang ba ang Camiling sa Bayambang? Kung malapit sya I'll try my best para makarating sa town ng Bayambang.

GoBloo March 1st, 2010, 11:30 AM Hello guys magandang araw!
Tapos baka alam niyo rin yung 15 MW na ethanol based power plant na itatayo daw this year.
Sana may makapagconfirm. Salamat in advance!

Ano work mo at saan sa Manila? Madalas kasi ako sa Mall of Asia may transport services na kasi ang Philtranco from SM Clark to Mall of Asia, Megamall at Cubao.
Hayaan mo try ko magtravel to Bayambang. Minsan, nakaka 4 to 5 places ako na napupuntahan...(in and out of the country). And also, one of the perks sa company namin ay yung travel package na once or twice a year binibigay sa mga admin officers.
Tarlaqueno-ako March 2nd, 2010, 12:36 PM Malapit lang ako sa Mall of Asia, mga 15 minutes ride. he he. Office worker ako. Galing pala ng company nyo dahil you have that previlege to travel, airline or travel agency ba kayo?
Di ko pa nakita loob ng new public market, try ko pumasok pag may time.
Tarlaqueno-ako March 2nd, 2010, 12:40 PM Ano pa kaya mga new infrastructure projects sa Tarlac, private and public? I'm very eager to know some developments in our province and city.
