I hope someday magkaroon ng major road connecting the two first class Municipalities, parang Camiling-Paniqui Road.

Maganda ang Municipal building nila, some photos:

With this one, they can opt to stay for a awhile and discover what the province can offer. We have our Mt. Pinatubo, Monastery de Tarlac, dine at Isdaan, Coconut Grill and other restaurants, shop at the SM nearby before going to Baguio, Ilocos, Launion or Hundred Islands.:)

Yung bagong intellect building, SOGO, Hyundai, SM City Tarlac, Carworld :)

I - dagdag mo pa yung rehanbilitation at road widening na ginagawa ngayon from San Rafael to San Miguel, parang Edsa na nga ang part na yan ng Mc. Arthur Hi-way.

Parang Maynila na talaga. As in boom na boom ang area.

Pinatubo at iba pa. Gaganapin eto sa November 23 to 25, 2011. For me, this is a significant event of promoting tourism spots in the province especially that it will also be covered by The Filipino Channel and Star World aside from ABS CBN.

Tarlac hosts Ms. Earth long gown event

TARLAC WILL again host a major affair---this time, the provincial government will sponsor the evening gown event and photo shoot sessions of the Miss Earth beauty pageant on November 23 to 25 at the historic Maria Christina Park and at the different scenic spots all over Tarlac.

Being considered as venues for the photo-shoot are the Lubigan Eco-Tourism Park where the contestants will also conduct tree-planting activity, the Capas Spa Resort, the Monasterio de Tarlac, the Pinatubo Crater Lake, among others.

The evening gown event will commence at the Maria Christina Park on the night of November 24 where giant television networks ABS-CBN, Star World and The Filipino Channel tasked to cover the event.

In a statement, Tarlac Governor Victor Yap said that he is elated to host, yet again, another major event that will help promote the culture and tourism of the province.

“This is another feather in the province’s cap…this is not only a national event but international in scope as well,” Yap said.

Traffic nga lang ngayon, imagine it took me 45 minutes from SM to San Rafael lang :ohno:

Salamat William and thanks to the photographers, especially sir Pao Beltran and sir Francis.:D

November 19, 2011, 6:04pm

"TARLAC CITY, Tarlac, Philippines — The long-deferred P16-billion Balog-Balog Irrigation Multipurpose Project (BBIMP), also known as the proposed “Megadam” in the western part of this province, is expected to finally start construction by next year, Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Proceso Alcala said yesterday. Earlier, Alcala said the irrigation project would not only provide water for year-round irrigation for farm lands in the province but could serve as a drainage system as well. Governor Victor Yap expressed confidence that the BBIMP project will push through." (Franco G. Regala)

Tarlac as organic farming capital
By Mark Anthony N. Mauel

TARLAC CITY, Philippines — President Benigno S. Aquino III’s home province is bent on becoming the country’s leader in producing quality and fresh organic vegetables both for the local and international markets as the provincial government vowed to actively promote organic agriculture farming.

In a bid to make his province the largest producer of organic vegetables in the Philippines, Governor Victor Yap said the province can very well develop an export market for its organic products, apart from supplying vegetables to the local market.

“These are not far from realization as the province has already started its way in promoting organic agriculture thru its ‘Natural Tarlac’ pro ect to cover the demand of organic farm products,” said Yap.

Yap, however, disclosed that currently “we have only covered 51,000 hectares or 1.5 percent of our needs in organic farming, whereas compared to more developed countries, they are reaching 20 to 30 percent that is why this production has a huge potential in the market.”

“Here in Tarlac, we are developing this project not just for its productivity but, it will, as well, help indigent people to generate income,” he added.

Meanwhile, Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary Proceso Alcala said: “Organic farming is an effective amulet of our country because it attracts foreigners to purchase agricultural products in the Philippines, this will also be our country's entry point since we have the capability to produce organic products and it is also a proof that we are not left behind compared to our neighboring countries in the Southeast Asia.”

Organic farming involves the growing of crops using bio-organic fertilizers, beneficial microorganism, amongst the techniques of natural farming, and without using chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

I think, sa Moncada at Paniqui, madaming ring sweet potato dun, Capas, banana naman saka Tarlac City, Gerona and Camiling, goats.:)

But I think its a toss-up between Mexico and Venezuela :)

Sabi ni MIss Venezuela (according to my niece), "Mahal ko kayo , Philippines".

The candidates had a motorcade noong Nov. 23 along F. Tanedo , then sa SM Tarlac pagkatapos ng motorcade. Nag stop daw sila sa plaza and my niece said they had the rare chance of seeing the ladies up close :)

mabuhay anga

Naiintindihan ko naman sir karisma. Pero look at the econ and exec thread, ang gulo gulo na. :ohno:

In the process, it will rob the very essense why this type of thread exists in the first place.

Hindi naman pinag-uusapan dito yung kahit sino o ano eh pwedeng magpost sa Pampanga... out of the question kasi yun.

ang sa akin lang... spare this thread and the like, kasi baka magmukhang sarswela tong usapan dito. :ohno:

pero hindi ko naman hawak ang desisyon mo, and everything is still within your judgement.

Brief lang ang comment ko ah, pag nadistribute na ang land sa mga farmers, since mas extensive ang capital required sa sugar cane crop, it could be converted to rice production, with that huge size of land which is 5,000 hectares, government support such as building irrigation canals, it could produce more cavans of rice. They could also apply organic farming as it is being promoted in the province and experiment on hybrid rice that produce more than a hundred cavans of rice per hectare.:)

:okay: so mas may pera sa bigas kaysa sa sugarcane, since mas magastos ang magtanim ng sugarcane?

:okay: so mas may pera sa bigas kaysa sa sugarcane, since mas magastos ang magtanim ng sugarcane?

Yes, it could be. Kasi kailangan pa ng mas complicated na process bago maging end product eto at ibenta sa market which could only be undertaken by a corporate entity who has the resources to do so. As compared to rice, the individuals themselves could prepare a simple process before they can finally market the product, besides mas malakas ang consumption natin sa rice.

Although, sa five thousand hectares, we should also provide some spaces para sa irrigation canals and roads.

World-class CarWorld Tarlac inaugurated
By Jovi T. De Leon

TARLAC CITY -- Motor vehicle enthusiasts in this fast-rising city will find another hub and landmark to go for their Mitsubishis, as CarWorld Tarlac moved to its new, bigger and better location in San Roque and was inaugurated on Tuesday afternoon.

"Dubbed world-class by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) top executives, the fourth CarWorld showroom and service center -- which has been serving Tarlac and other northern provinces since 1981 -- moved from its 400-square meter office in San Sebastian, then to a bigger location in San Nicolas and finally to the sprawling 3,000-hectare facility in the heart of the city this year."

Congratulations Carworld Tarlac, touted as a world class facility. Like the vice governor said, it would lead other investments to be put up in the province and in this fast rising city of the north, it is also a clear proof that economic activity in Tarlac is vibrant.

(I think may error sa article, it might be 3,000 square meters instead of 3,000 hectares.)

IBM brings business solutions to Central Luzon

IBM announced that it is strengthening its presence in Central Luzon to support and help transform local business communities in the region.

This in line with the company’s commitment to help bring smarter business and technology solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in key areas outside Metro Manila.

At the IBM Comes To You (ICTY) event at the Holiday Inn Hotel recently, IBM showcased its end-to-end solutions (hardware, software and services) that address many of the challenges facing businesses today.

The one-day interactive ICTY solutions seminar is part of IBM’s efforts to increase technology adoption in Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.

Companies of any size can leverage on IBM’s accessible, approachable and affordable solutions to help transform their businesses.

IBM officials said Central Luzon is an important market for IBM since the region has vast potential for economic expansion given its strategic location, world-class infrastructure and attractive business environment.

Pump-priming goes full blast in Tarlac, C.Luzon

by Joel E. Zurbano

"The Public Works department has earmarked a hefty chunk of its P5.5 billion allocation for infrastructure projects in Central Luzon including Tarlac, the hometown of President Benigno Aquino III.

The amount will bankroll 376 projects as part of the government’s pump priming activities for the rest of the year.

Public Works secretary Rogelio Singson said the projects include new roads and bridges nationwide, and rehabilitation of roads mostly damaged by the two recent typhoons Pedring and Quiel."

MY friends and I are bound for La Union this coming Tuesday. Balak sana namin mag side trip sa Tarlac and i-try yung Isdaan restaurant.

And isa pang tanong, how far is the Isdaan restaurant from SM City Tarlac? We have to meet someone kasi dun.

Thank you!

Sa tabi ng Siesta is Dagupan Bus Terminal which houses 3 Bus Lines (Dagupan Bus, Genesis, Candon) .

Philippine Rabbit Terminal is few meters away from Siesta.

Mas convenient sa Siesta kasi it has the most number of fleet that's north bound pero lahat naman ng bus pwede mong sakyan kung pupunta ka ng Isdaan. Basta North bound lang ah.

Diplomatic corps members visit "Belenismo sa Tarlac"

"TARLAC CITY, Dec. 1 –Members of the diplomatic corps have recently visited this province to personally see and witness one of the province’s tourist attractions during Yuletide season — the “Belenismo sa Tarlac.

Twelve ambassadors, together with their families and some embassy staff were awed with the beautiful portrayal of the Baby Jesus in a manger with St. Joseph and the Blessed Virgin Mary in the annual province-wide competition which aims to showcase the artistic, social and religious significance of the Belen, the symbol of Christ’s birth.

They first visited the Museo de Tarlac where 50 diorama size of Belens made by high school students here are on display.

Isabel Cojuangco Suntay, who is at the forefront of the effort through the Tarlac Heritage Foundation, explained to the distinguished guests the project that established the province as the Belen capital of the country.

Wives of the ambassadors were so amazed with the artistic works of the students by saying “ their (students) interpretation of what transpired during those times in Bethlehem was really extra-ordinary.”

Tplex project forges ahead

by Joel E. Zurbano

"The Public Works department is almost halfway through the first phase of the P11.5 billion Tarlac – Pangasinan -- La Union Toll Expressway, which will cut travel time from Manila to Baguio City by one-and-a-half hour.

The Tplex project, which is being implemented through public-private partnership using a variant of the build-operate-transfer scheme, is now 42.52 percent complete, Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson said on Monday."

Chicken feather belen’ bags ‘Belenismo’ award

y Charlene Cayabyab
Monday, December 12, 2011

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO - A belen or nativity scene made up of chicken feathers and mounted by a restaurant in Tarlac City grabbed attention that it was adjudged winner in the monument category of the Belenismo sa Tarlac 2011.

The monument showed life-size figures of Joseph, Mary and the baby child Jesus along with the three wise men and the shepherds depicting almost perfectly the nativity scene.

The main clothing of the characters in the belen was made with colorful chicken feathers for it to appear more appealing to the public, said VES Food House owner Mary Joyce Sibal.

"All materials that were used here are recycled. This is good for the environment because we are contributing to the wellness of the earth. Instead of using brand new materials that will eventually be put to waste, we used and recycled old ones by adding a little aesthetic into it to make it appear as if it is new," she added.

Sibal noted that "this monument could still be displayed throughout the year so as to feel the Christmas spirit in our restaurant where it has been the main attraction as to date."

by Jessica Bacud

"Tarlac City—Camp Servillano Aquino is turning into an educational travel hub with its mini-park showing decommissioned tanks and aircraft.

Last Monday, about 1,700 students from DepEd Ramos District under Officer-in-Charge Yolanda Lacasandile alighted from 17 buses and along with their parents and teachers to exprience the boot camp of the Special Forces and the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion at the headquarters of the armed forces Northern Luzon Command.

Lieutenant Col. Ernest Marc Rosal, Nolcom civil-military operations chief, toured the visitors around St. Michael Park and other facilities of the base.

“We are very happy that more and more people are getting interested about Camp Aquino,” he told the educational tourists."

yun kasi lantern parade at oblation run signify the end of classes para sa christmas holiday

Massive Makeover at the President's Hometown Provincial Capital, Tarlac City!

kabilaan ang mga ipinapatayong buildings, at saka isinasaayos rin ang mga kalsada, pinapalawak into 4 to 6 lanes mula sa dating 2 lanes

oo nga Hugo ! At least we know our taxes our working for us. :)
