For a cultural experience why not visit Sadu House which is located on Gulf Street, next to the parliament and The Kuwait National Museum.

I personally found the museum quite entertaining. You could also join classes which teach you the art of Sadu weaving.

While you're there why don't you drop by the Kuwait National Museum to visit the planetarium which is quite interesting but I think their last show is at 6.
If you want a show in English I would advise you to call ahead since the one I saw was in Arabic.
