eurasia March 25th, 2011, 02:09 AM Think about a soft ocean breeze caressing your cheeks and running through your hair. Think about waking up to a breathtaking view of sun, sand, sea and all that is beautiful about nature. Think about banishing the heat of our tropical climate with a dip in that relaxing pool or, similarly inviting, the sea that lies just a casual stroll away.
Now, think about enjoying all these sublime luxuries... no, not just briefly, as in a vacation, but on a daily basis, like all 365 days of the year?
The stuff of fantasy? Of wishful thinking? Not at all, especially not as far as Robinsons Land Corp. is concerned. The property developer has made the stuff of the sweetest dreams into a living, breathing and most exquisite reality with AmiSa, the masterplanned leisure residential community under the company’s premium property brand Robinsons Luxuria. AmiSa is a Sanskrit term for an object of beauty or pleasure, and the development is well on its way to living up to its name. Sitting on six hectares of precious real estate in the Punta Engaño district of Mactan in Cebu, the same pocket in the Queen City of the South that is also home to such as internationally renowned destinations such as Mactan Shangri-La Resort and Spa and Hilton Cebu Resort and Spa, AmiSa is a mere 10-minute drive from the Mactan International Airport and a 30-minute drive from Cebu City proper.
Cebu was chosen by Robinsons Land as the venue for its first-ever leisure residential community on account of the province’s admirable peace and order, its well-developed and well-preserved natural, cultural and historical attractions that draw a huge number of tourists annually, and its status as a prime business hub in the Visayas-Mindanao region. Of course, Cebu is also the province that witnessed the post-war entrepreneurial skills of the young John Gokongwei Jr., the founder and chairman emeritus of JG Summit Holdings Inc., which includes Robinsons Land Corporation.

eurasia March 30th, 2011, 01:59 PM Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) recently marked another milestone in the construction development of AmiSa, its master-planned, six-hectare leisure residential community in Mactan, Cebu.
The completion of the community’s second residential tower brings future residents nearer to the dream vacation lifestyle in the paradise of Punta Engaño, Mactan, Cebu. This development is composed of six residential towers, a hotel, an entertainment center and a host of amenities designed to provide the ultimate vacation lifestyle. AmiSa is a project of Robinsons Luxuria, the premium property brand of the RLC’s Residential Division.
Named after the Sanskrit term for an object of beauty and pleasure, this development promises to live up to its name with its modern architecture and amenities. With its clubhouse, pools, playgrounds and exercise corners, it promises to make future residents feel and say that everyday is a holiday.
The model units are ready for viewing at the AmiSa showroom located at ground floor, Robinsons Place Residences Tower 2, Padre Faura, Manila; the RLC Grand Showroom located at Robinsons Galleria, or at the site showroom located at Punta Engaño in Mactan, Cebu.

Pero don't worry guys, relax lang. Naa ra jud gihapon ang entertainment center ug ang hotels. Naa lang mga kausaban sa design sa building. Kung unsa man, mao na ang dapat ninyo abangan from RLC. Exciting!!! Ahu! Ahu! Ahu!

Henz May 18th, 2011, 10:54 AM mas nindot sya.. but i think sa design sa hotel morag di jud pede na high rise kay matabunan man ang view sa condo owners.......
vatics May 18th, 2011, 04:05 PM hotel will definitely be lower than the 8-storey buildings (last phase of the residential condo development).
AmbutLang May 18th, 2011, 04:28 PM @Vatic diba naa manto sa una kanang parking building ilang himuon para sa condo owners at a price? Wala raba public transportion nga regular diha. So most if not all tenants/owners will have multiple cars.
bakasaurus May 18th, 2011, 05:48 PM Regular na man ang public transpo didto ron Sir Fred... Daghan man multicab na muabot sa tomoy sa Pta. Engano.
AmbutLang May 18th, 2011, 07:51 PM Regular na man ang public transpo didto ron Sir Fred...
vatics May 19th, 2011, 02:06 PM @sir Fred: there are limited parking rights allotted for each tower.
Tower A: 18 slots
Tower B: 22 slots
Tower C: 22 slots
as what @bakasaurus had said...public transportation is now available at the tipmost part of punta engaño in mactan. amisa is highly accessible and it will not be too soon more and more commercial developments will sprout along that area.
majaba98 May 20th, 2011, 09:00 AM I wonder why all these Mactan Beach side projects have so little beach side. In my opinion most important to have a beach front that is not crowed once fully developed. Possibly a `price for beach parcel´argument ?

Robinsons Land plans Cebu hotel
GOKONGWEI-LED property developer Robinsons Land Corp. wants to build its fifth deluxe hotel in the country starting this year, its top executive said on Friday.
"We are looking at a 200-room hotel with a large convention facility in Cebu as part of the Amisa brand development," Robinsons Land President Frederick D. Go told reporters after the company's listing ceremony in Makati.
Mr. Go said the five-star hotel will be the company's fifth deluxe hotel in the country, on top of the budget hotel brand Gohotels.ph.
To date, Robinsons Land 's hotels division owns and operates four hotels: the Intercontinental Hotels Group-managed Crowne Plaza Galleria and Holiday Inn Galleria in Ortigas Business District in Pasig, the Cebu Midtown Hotel and Summit Ridge Hotel in Tagaytay, Cavite. --Neil Jerome C. Morales

rx_slyrain May 20th, 2011, 06:33 PM Robinsons Land to build 200-room Mactan hotel
Philippine Daily Inquirer
7:53 pm | Friday, May 20th, 2011
MANILA, Philippines–Robinsons Land Corp. is set to build a 200-room deluxe seafront hotel in Mactan, Cebu, raising its stake in tourism in the country’s biggest commercial hub outside Metro Manila.
During Friday’s listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange of P13.65 billion worth of shares recently sold through a stock rights offering, RLC president Frederick Go told reporters that the new hotel would be called “Summit Shores” and would cater to both leisure and convention tourism.
The new hotel is in the planning stage and construction can start this year. It will occupy two hectares out of RLC’s five-hectare leisure estate development Amisa in Mactan along the same row as the plush Shangri-La and Movenpick Resort & Spa (formerly Hilton).
The upcoming hotel would be finished in two years, Go said. It would offer hotel rooms for $100 to $120 a night and would be more of a sprawling type of hotel-resort with a large convention facility than a high-rise development, Go said.
The Mactan hotel will be the fifth among RLC’s portfolio of deluxe hotels and the second in Cebu after an earlier hotel in Cebu City formerly called Cebu City Midtown Hotel. The group also owns the Galleria and Crown Plaza hotel properties in the Ortigas central business district and Summit Ridge in Tagaytay.
Outside of its deluxe hotels, RLC also operates a budget hotel brand, Gohotels.ph, which uses a similar online booking system as affiliate carrier Cebu Pacific.
Go added that the Cebu City hotel property was now undergoing massive renovation. Only a third of the hotel’s capacity was being used, he said. When the Cebu City hotel reopens, it will be renamed “Summit Circle” with a total capacity of 200 hotel rooms. Doris C. Dumlao

"deluxe hotel"...probably not a Go hotel
wakeuptoreality May 21st, 2011, 04:38 AM Robinsons Land to build high-end hotel in Cebu (http://www.bworldonline.com/content.php?section=Corporate&title=Robinsons-Land-to-build-high-end-hotel-in-Cebu&id=31706)
GOKONGWEI-LED Robinsons Land Corp. plans to build a high-end hotel in Cebu this year, its fifth in the country, a top executive said on Friday.
"We are looking at a 200-room hotel with a large convention facility in Cebu as part of the AmiSa brand development," Robinsons Land President Frederick D. Go told reporters in a chance interview, referring to the masterplanned community in Mactan Island, Cebu.
Mr. Go said the five-star hotel will complement its existing portfolio of "deluxe" hotels: Crowne Plaza Galleria and Holiday Inn Galleria in Ortigas Business District in Pasig, the Cebu Midtown Hotel and Summit Ridge Hotel in Tagaytay, Cavite.
These are apart from the budget facilities the company runs under the Gohotels.ph brand.
"What we are looking at for this property is if we do not find an operator, we will call it Summit Hotel," Mr. Go said, adding that the company is in talks with three hotel chains.
Around two hectares in AmiSa will be allotted to the new hotel, which will offer rooms at $100-120 per night, Mr. Go said.
The new hotel development will cater to leisure travellers and business segment with the convention center slated to open by 2013.
Mr. Go said the 200-room Cebu Midtown Hotel is also under redevelopment. It will be re-branded as Summit Circle.
Also on Friday, Robinsons Land listed 1.36 billion new common shares on the local bourse. The shares were sold to existing stockholders last month, allowing the company to raise P13.64 billion in fresh capital from a two-for-one stock offer.
Robinsons Land had earlier said it intends to use the majority of its net proceeds from the offer to finance the acquisition of land and for its mixed-use property developments like malls, condominiums, hotels and offices in Metro Manila and in the region.
Shares in the property developer -- whose profits in the first-half fiscal year that will end in September climbed by 13% to P2.04 billion -- fell by 1.4% to P12.72 each on Friday. -- NJCM

same gyud ta ivanc, mas ganahan ko kun tulo ra ka tower, mura ug huot kaau tan-awon kun 6 towers, mas nindot kun naa dako kaau nga space inside sa resort. o maybe kanang low rise nga proposed hotel infront mas maau kun wala na lang na, i mean they should have built it together with tower 1 , tower 2 and tower 3 . luoy sab kaau ang mga unit owner sa mga lower floors kay matabunan man sa proposed hotel ang view.

Philippine Daily Inquirer (http://business.inquirer.net/18893/jg-summit-among-forbes-top-50-asia-pacific-companies)
2:57 pm | Tuesday, September 13th, 2011
MANILA, Philippines—Gokonwei-led conglomerate JG Summit Holdings landed on Forbes Magazine’s list of 50 “best” publicly traded companies in Asia-Pacific, the only company from the Philippines that made it to the Chinese-dominated roster.
In a recent special report, Forbes Asia included JG Summit in its list of Asia’s “Fab 50” companies, an annual ranking that the magazine has been making since 2005.
JG Summit had a market value of $3.9 billion and an annual turnover of $2.7 billion, the report estimated.
China produced 23 or the biggest bulk of the companies on the list. “The story of Asia is increasingly the story of China and this year’s list of the 50 best publicly-traded companies in Asia-Pacific certainly reflects that,” the report said.
In 2010, China claimed only 16 slots but as the country’s real estate, construction, auto-making, appliance manufacturing and gold-mining industries continue to boom, an additional company from each of those sectors barged into the top ranks, Forbes reported.
The magazine said the most notable newcomer this 2011 was Qingdao Haier, the world’s number one white goods brand.
China only had five of its companies landing on this elite list in 2005 and two in 2006. The swelling of its representatives since then, according to Forbes, is “a mark of how quickly China’s companies have arrived on the world stage.”
On the other hand, Forbes said China’s gain was largely India’s loss. After matching the number of China’s honorees last year, India had only seven representatives this year.
Japan—once Asia’s wealthiest nation which had 13 companies in the top 50 when Forbes started analyzing corporate Asia six years ago—had zero representative for the first time. Forbes said this was partly a result of the devastating earthquake and ensuing tsunami last March.
South Korea produced eight Fab 50 companies, the most it has had since 2005, when it also had eight. “The chaebols are going like gangbusters and seven of the companies are chaebol affiliates; the eighth is hot Internet company NHN (Corp.)” Forbes said.
Forbes said the changing lineup each year was “a window on the region’s dynamism, and this year was no exception.”
In terms of industry, Forbes said technology companies dominated its list this year with eight representatives, down from 11 last year. This was followed by the consumer durables industry (7) and food (6). For the second year in a row on our Fab 50 list, none from the oil/gas industry made it to the list.
Forbes said it came out with the list by analyzing 1,073 companies that had at least $3 billion in revenue or market capitalization. “We looked at the five-year track records for revenue, operating earnings and return on capital, and then the recent results and share-price movements, and finally the outlook. If it had too much debt, or the government owned at least half the shares, it was out. The result is an honor roll of the region’s best,” the magazine said.
The magazine also recently released its list of top 200 Asia-Pacific companies under $1 billion in market capitalization. Two publicly listed gaming firms from the Philippines made it to the list—Pacific Online Systems Corp. (with estimated $91 million in market value and $28 million in sales) and Philweb Corp. (with $453 million in estimated market value and $24 million in sales).

Ur based here in Metro Manila right?
Vatics (Richard) is also accredited with RLC and a licensed broker...i believe he can best serve the interest of those who would want to purchase a unit in Amisa coz he is personally and physically located in Cebu.
But that's a nice offer though. :okay: I let go of this project when i moved back here in Metro Manila for the benefit of the buyers. It's hard to assist ur buyers if ur not there physically. By the way, ur from which sg bro? Isnt it misleading and not a good practice to proactively offer your part of commission to your buyers coz not only that this is ur professional fee, this would give an impression to your buyers that they will be getting this all at once. Hope you remember that Amisa's payment scheme is either deferred cash or installment and you're getting your commission in tranches. Giving your 2.5% is like making your own buyer your own REA. Doable but kinda complicated in the long run.

i'm glad to hear from you once again @jech. when are you going to visit cebu and perhaps we can have another ssc meet like the old days? would be great to talk about developments in our respective service areas.
is discounting one's commission allowed? ethically it is prohibited. why? sharing one's commission easily to customers is like a career suicide. agents are paid based on the number of units sold. no sale means no income. giving away a part of one's income under uncertain and uncontrollable market conditions will put the agent out of business. for the buyers, you will never know when your servicing agent will be in business after you have collected part of his/her commission. this kind of practice is an indirect act of robbery. in most cases, those agents who discount their commissions never survive. i know some agents even brokers who were out of business because of this practice.
Thanks for the updates. :okay: See u soon Amisa. :)
I'm excited about RLC's newly acquired 3 hectare property adjacent to AmiSa. I wonder what RLC's future development plans on this property. It would be astounding for sure. Watch out Cebu! :okay:

vatics May 28th, 2012, 05:25 AM Just as excited about this project. Take note each tower is being built way way ahead of its target schedule of construction. It all goes to show that Robinsons Land has all the financing resources to start and complete a project whether the pre-selling unit sales have not reached 60% versus other projects. Now that's what you call a sturdy and very stable company to boast.
Nothing comes close to natural beauty of the sea and beyond at Amisa---more than an oasis in the city by sea.
Attractive financing package: ZERO DOWNPAYMENT!

cebu726 February 24th, 2013, 01:59 PM They might use dolomite fine stones quarried in Alcoy, Cebu. They have tons of it there.
Plantation Bay Mactan is using dolomite for their beaches within their lagoon areas. The crashed dolomite stones mimic natural sand but the most striking property why it is a good substitute for sea sand is that it doesn't absorb heat, making it unaffected by the scorching heat of the sun even on the middle of the summer days.
bakasaurus February 24th, 2013, 06:06 PM All natural white sands don't absorb heat as far as I know (Well technically they do, but by having the mineral make up that give them their white color in the first place shows their high degree of reflectance).
I actually prefer the rocky shore of a naturally rocky coast. I like sand where it's naturally sandy! Our business of putting things where they're not supposed to be just jeopardizes the natural ecology. But who am I kidding, as long as we can get what we want we don't really care about creatures we can't hear, that we don't know of.
To keep the sand there, I think they'd need to add a barrier to the current from washing the beach off shore, and that adds another dimension to the disturbance. But everybody does that so no big deal. Hahaha.
The buildings are rising up nice though. Still not a fan of this sand moving business. Or even putting substitutes.

CEBU, Philippines - A road widening project in Lapu-Lapu City will start in the second quarter of this year after President Benigno Aquino III promised to pour in P400 million.
Although the administration of Mayor Paz Radaza is not allied with the Aquino administration, she supports his administration’s programs.
The President, during his visit early this week to inaugurate the Mactan Newtown Center, has promised Radaza he will allot P400 million for the project, which will start after the election.
About P300 million will go to widening while the remaining P100 million will be spent on lot acquisition.
To be widened is the road that starts from the Philippine Export Processing Zone Authority (PEZA) in barangay Pusok up to barangay Mactan as well as the circumferential road.
Radaza said some establishments will be affected including the barangay Ibo Elementary School and a skywalk in barangay Buaya.
“Makatabang gyud ang road widening sa pag-attract og dugang investors diri sa Lapu-Lapu,” the Mayor said. (FREEMAN)
cebu726 February 24th, 2013, 07:21 PM Road infrastructures are the catalyst in a progressive economy. The condition of the roads also dictates how much development the place will get. The better the condition, the more it attracts commercial activities as movement of goods and people is enhanced. As the economy grows, standard of living also grows and, subsequently, attract migrants as well as investors. The local government should also get updates every few years how much its economy is growing so that it can act on time when to expand these infrastructures. :)
The putting up of efficient infrastructures ahead of time is the best way to drive an economy at a sustainable level.
