Indeed... the panorama rendering looks like Seattle, especially to the left with Columbia Center, Municipal Tower and Washington Mutual Tower. Maybe this is just meant as a random skyline background? Or is Seattle an alternative location for the Nebula project?

Also strange: the cluster on the renderings doesn't really appears like five 55-storey towers plus three mid/lowrise buildings... more like one tower with about 55 storeys plus some towers with around 35-40 floors. And the renderings seem to show slightly different designs, at least the first one. :?

Nethertheless this project looks quite alright, although not too great. The open levels with the trees are nice, but without them the buildings would look like some proposals of the late 1970's to me. The "local nomadic culture" of the Emirates is the last thing that would've come to my mind as an inspiration... :doh:

Alright, I see... the renderings all show the same Nebula design, which has won the competition in dubai on September, the 28th, from different angles. Thank U for the link by the way, ignx.

Interesting project, although it does look very out of place to Seattle's skyline.

Nice vid. I've never seen them use Vancouvers skyline before?!
I'm not sure about these towers. they look kinda 70s modern to me.
