^^Actually it is. We use it when there is a big fire. Linking many tank wagons filled with water is more efficient than using planes;) Mostly it is used when the fire is on the Great Plain,because there is not much water nearby.

Amphibious 6x6 trucks designed for Russian Space Agency for astronauts search & rescue. If emergency landing will occur in not usual landing zone, special aeromobile rescue team with helicopters and such trucks will be deployed at any region or country in a few hours and provide an evacuation of spaceship, crew and equipment.

For those of you how don't know, SMURD (Serviciul Mobil de Urgenţă, Resuscitare şi Descarcerare) is a type of EMS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emergency_Medical_Services) under the jurisdiction of local hospitals and fire brigades. It was founded in the early '90s in Târgu-Mureş by Dr. Raed Arafat and it is now present in several counties as well as major cities.:cheers:

They canceled the it because it was decided that firstly we need infrastructure, afterwards we need attack helicopters.
