Hey, "argentine" Turk, did you forget that the Ottoman Empire was the most backward empire in the world? Did you forget this important fact? Not only that, but you are proud of it! Hah-hah, you are so desperate. Look who's talking about complexes!
And who is talking about superiority? Turkey is not compatible to Bulgaria because Turkey is a Middle Eastern country. I am sure that you can compare Turkey to Israel, UAE and etc. Bulgaria is comparable to European countries!

You are such a poor guy :/ I feel pitty for you! You must be so proud to have lands on europe because you mention this so often! I am a Turk, I don't need any continent or region to be proud of.

Or another battle in Vienna in 1683 when Polish king Jan III Sobieski stopped the Turkish advancing in Europe and when he sacked their camp he found a lot of coffee beans and supposedly the aftermath of it were the first Viennese coffee houses. But the Austrians were not very thankful to us as they incorporated a large part of southern Poland merely 100 years after this event. But still despite many wars Poles and Turks fought in XVII century, the Ottoman Empire was the only country that didn't recognize the partition of Poland and when the sultan was receiving foreign ambassadors, when they mentioned Poland it was always said "he hasn't arrived yet".

^^ There is some myth about the croissants, according to it, they are not a French invention but a Viennese one. After the Ottoman defeat at Vienna, the locals invented it. It had the shape of the Ottoman crescent, hence the word "croissant" is very close to "crescent".

^^ It's not a myth, it's a fact. Some people or many people might think and say that Turkey doesn't belong to Euope but historicaly, economicaly a politicaly seen Turkey is part of it. Turkey contributed in all these aspects more than many existing EU members. So these people who say that Turkey doesn't belong Europe should be honest and say the real reason why they don't want Turkey inside Europe, namely because of its religion!

Interestingly, he has a party that pretends to be defending the rights of minorities (especially Turkish). This may sound funny if you don't know what the communists really are. A little cute story....

I got a fellwoship 4 years ago at the METU University in Ankara...So I got to know a Turkish girl there....and was walking her home very late into the night...Somehow, I managed to get lost in those suburbs....and found myself in the middle of nowhere after midnight....was really nothing arround...no houses, no lights...no road...and suddenly 4 guys got into my way...

Everywhere else...chances to get rubbed and stubbed would be 60 to 70 percent, but what those guys did was to show me where to find a taxi and lead me to a main road...!

And all my experiences were like that. I expected the worse, but the reality was so much different. Everywhere I would go to people would invite me for a tea.....etc

There is smth about Turkey that I find very appealing...its naivity, and decency of the people that I think is nowhere to be found in Romania at least these days...

the reason why there are ethnic Turks in the Bulgarian Parliament is because they have constitutionally illegal party. Turks are about 8% of the overall population but our government was stupid enough to those who live in Turkey (previously BG) Bulgarian passports. So now when there are elections, the border is filled with buses of voters going to SE Bulgaria to vote. I don't even know where to begin....... the whole situation is so fucked up that it disgusts me to no end. Imagine people who don't give a shit about your country voting on its future :bash::ohno:

zzibit

Dogan and his punks are trying very hard to brainwash Pomaks into making them Turks. That is they are using religion as their tool and unfortunately they have some success. The Rodope region where Pomaks live is so heavily influenced by the turks that it's almost impossible to escape the propaganda. the turks control the local govt., businesses, mosques, women are covered, you would think you were in central Turkey or something. As a result a lot of Pomaks give in to these bastards and turn against local Christians even though they are their own blood, both are Bulgarians. The only solution is the elimination of DPS but knowing how corrupt the govt. is, might as well forget it.

That's it! That's what hurts me most! In general we are such a warm people, there is absolutly no reason to hate us. You can ask for an address and people will invite you to drink a tea, that's so simple! But many have some kind of image which is given them probably by their grandparents which doesn't reflect the reality and so there exist people like Delyan that hate Turkey/Turks without knowing the reason actually. The more backward a country the more you'll find of these people. But this problem will be solved with social and economical development. Nowadays a French does not hate a German or a Brit although they were the biggest enemies.
