Mega concert in auditorium 1 of NDK exported Lily Ivanova

First album of Nevena Coneva comes up on 16 november (friday. The album is named "Without fear" and includes ten songs and one bonus track


In the album there is ballad by text and music of Dayan Warren, authoress of hits as "Unbrake my heart" of Tony Braxton and "Could I Have This Kiss Forever" of Whitney Houston and Enrique Iglesias. The song is named "Some kind of miracle" and is sung out only in english .

MTV Chose Bulgarian Stars
The media managers are pondering over the idea to create a channel in Bulgarian language


MTV organized "a hunt" for Bulgarian stars yesterday. The prestigious musical media shot an episode of their famous Total Request program downtown Sofia. Bulgarian singers Svetla Ivanova, Grafa, Lyubo, Mastilo and Nevena from Music Idol were in the limelights: they answered questions about the everyday and party life in our country. They had the opportunity to frankly express their opinion; the singers had to fill in a questionnaire. Passersby-by voiced spontaneous joy at the fact that the TV channel pays due attention to talented Bulgarian musicians.
Reportedly, MTV plans to create a channel in Bulgarian next year. Negotiations are underway, but there are no proofs that the idea will be realized. But the shots of Total Request indicate that MTV have finally noticed our country on the map of the world.

Бюст-паметник на Пенчо Славейков ще бъде открит на 24 ноември от 11.30 в градината на общинската библиотека в Брунате, предаде prontosofia.com.

Поводът е 95-ата годишнина от смъртта на поета. Славейков е починал именно в малкото и красиво селище на езерото Комо, Северна Италия.

Живелият в периода 1866-1912 г. Славейков през 1912 е бил предложен за Нобелова награда за литература от шведския проф. Алфред Йенсен, но поради преждевременната смърт на поета предложението не е било разгледано от Нобеловия комитет.

Очаква се на церемонията по откриването да присъстват зам.-председателят на Народното събрание Камелия Касабова, председателят на парламентарната комисия по култура Нина Чилова, зам.-министърът на културата Надежда Захариева, генералният консул в Милано Иво Иванов, кметът на Брунате Дарко Пандакович, председателят на Българо-италианската асоциация за култура Снежана Христова.

btw ... last weekend i saw some documentary about Stanishev's visit to Georgia and Armenia. In Erevan there is a huge monument of Peyo Yavorov and one school There wears his name. In the armenian school books they learn his poetry and especially the poem "Armenci" (http://www.slovo.bg/showwork.php3?AuID=130&WorkID=3324&Level=3)

Catherine Zeta-Jones Becomes "Bulgarian"

Hollywood megaproject called ‘Sofia' its now in the final phase. The scenario focus on Bulgarian labyrinth of social and economic problems in the last 17 years, the Standart daily informs.

The producers would like to see beautiful Catherine Zeta-Jones playing the leading part - a strong Bulgarian woman who left her country and many years later returned to her roots to find herself in the whirl of the events - political intrigues and classical adventures.

Uma Thurman or Cameron Diaz will probably play the second leading character. Clive Owen will take another main character - of a General.

Famous Bulgarian archaeologist prof. Nikolay Ovcharov is the prototype of the archaeology professor in the movie production.

The whole world must hear about Bulgaria and its people. The Bulgarians still lack self-confidence they deserve, Ralitsa Hofstetter from the Supernova film company comments.

Scriptwriter of the film is Ron Bass, a successful Hollywood playwrights and Oscar holder for best screenplay (Rain Man).
Most probably the director of the production will be John McTiernan (Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October), Standart informed

A new monument of King Kaloian to be erected in Varna

Във Варна издигат паметник на Цар Калоян

Днес в центъра на Варна бе направена тържествена символична първа копка за изграждането на паметник на Калоян. Паметникът ще се намира в градинката между градската опера и сградата на съда и ще представлява постамент с фигурата на българския цар на кон.

Издига се в чест на Варненската битка през 1201 г., след която градът е присъединен окочателно към българската държава. Така варненци отбелязват ролята на Калоян за включването на днешната ни морска столица към Второто българско царство. През 2007 г. се навършват и 800 години от рождението на българския владетел.

Инициативата възниква преди две години. Паметникът се изгражда след редовен конкурс с участие на 14 колектива от архитекти и скулптори и след много спорове. Първопремиран е великотърновският колектив на скулпторите Борис Борисов и Константин Константинов и архитектите Милен Маринов и Христо Хралов.

Паметникът трябва да бъде готов до края на годината, съобщава агенция “Фокус - Варна”.
