What's the shaking smiley face for. You give it a seven for whatever reason you do and I give a 2.5 because I see no real skyline. The domed building is the only thing really that pierces the sky. Should I give this city a 7-10 based on historic buildings? Architecture? Well if that was the question they were asking I probably would have given it a much higer score but that is not the question they are asking. Wonder why so many citys out there that have barely anything cracking 200' anything more than a 5. I still say 2.5/10

Ofcourse there is no skyline, it's not the USA or Asia
I think you should rate an European city by European standards and not on world scale
Except for the bigger financial cities in Europe, like Paris, Frankfurt, London or Moscow there aren't many European cities with a real skyline
So yes, European 'skylines' should be rated on historical buildings and architecture imho.

Well this is a forum open to everyone from all over the globe. If this was by european standards how would Frankfurt, London,. La Defense, and Moscow stack up to Namur? Not to cause a flame but would a european city with both large office towers and historic value be judged along the same lines?
I think I should rate European citys by the same standard I rate Asian, Latin American, African, and North American skylines. The more interesting and intense the silhouette, the higher I vote it. The less interesting and intense, the lower I vote it. Not including mountains that play a factor as a natural backdrop, general scenery has little to do with the skyline. Historic significance does not = skyline. That is something entirely different. If by historic significance you mean something that contributes to the skyline then that should be counted as a factor in how I judge.

I think I'll just rate a skyline on how I, myself, feel it should be rated and you can do the same thing by all means.

4/10; sorry, but as someone pointed out, this is a "rate the skyline" thread, and yes, I believe it is fair to stack it up against any in the world, which is why it is only a 4.

since this is a skyline thread... and i see no real skyline i will rate this at 3.0/10..
however, because this is a part of the old Europe with fantastic heritage sites and architecture... by european standard this is worth our respect.

Fortunately, skyline does not equal (the number of) high buildings. I'll give this a 7/10.
