Chicago Spire has'nt built yet get 30 % vote how...as well as WFC of sanghai cause no country visitor is higher so it became favourite otherwise these are not standard building to accomodate in list except Chicago Spire

Times have changed now, IMO this poll should be done again. I'd vote for Shanghai Tower over any of the ones I voted for originally. I'd even put it ahead of the Shard, and even if it's not the tallest it is, IMO, superior to the Burj Dubai.

definitely the Chicago spire. Chicago is already my favorite city with the spire it would have the best skyline in my opinion.also you have to go Chicago to see just how amazing it is and i have.

There are multiple super tall projects in the world. To make this kind of awesome super tall projects, engineers are great and all are proud with their work. Various sky scrapers for types of project like some of them are for business center project, while some of them for Huge Hotels. The best design includes with the best projects.

There are many good projects on this list, but I voted Freedom Tower (1WTC) in New York. I am surprised the Burj Dubai won.

DAMAC heights has formerly name as ocean heights 2 which is a super tall skyscraper that is built in Dubai marina of Dubai. It would be the second super tall project and the tower is set to rise to 420 meters and have 85 floors for the residential use. It is the most beautiful project of the Dubai.

yeh that's true. also i think the towers which are not even approved, shouldn't be on that list neither.

My choices:

Burj Dubai - ludicrous height... the world's first hypertall, an incredible feat of engineering.

Chicago Spire - beautiful design, will give a really "fresh" look to Chicago's skyline.

Sumida Tower - Tokyo lacks world famous landmarks. This will certainly become famous!

Solar Tower - very futuristic concept. I love the idea of generating so much clean energy from a structure like this.

Lotte Super Tower - very nice facade, will look especially good at night when it's lit up.

Freedom Tower (1WTC) - okay, so the name is a little tacky. But the tower itself is a worthy replacement, bold and soaring, and has evolved nicely from the earlier proposals. The neighbouring towers (by some of the world's top architects) will compliment it really well.

Burj Al Alam - exceptionally good design, I love the curves and organic feel it has, especially towards the crown/pinnacle. It's probably the best skyscraper design to come out of the Middle East in my opinion.

World Financial Center - a sleek, soaring and futuristic tower, perfect for Shanghai.

International Commerce Center - compliments the IFC extremely well. I love how the 2 towers form a gateway into the harbour.

I've been thinking for some time what to choose but ultimately I chose Burj Khalifa (burj dubai).
I don't get it how can someone chooses Solar Tower, for me it's just big chimney, if it hadn't been as high noone would have ever noticed it on this forum.
And yes, I think it should be updated because in these 3 years some things have changed.
