The 345 California Center Building is an 880,000 sf multi-use development located in the center of San Francisco's financial district. Rising 47 stories above grade, the tower comprises the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, retail and office components. Two separate towers emerge from the building and are linked together by glazed skybridges, providing 11 floors of hotel rooms. The 31 floors located below the hotel are used for commercial office space. Composed in a diamond-shaped plan with a central elevator core, each commercial floor is approximately 14,600 gross sf.

looks like a white building swallowing up a brown building dood... the facade colors just don't match. if they remove the brown portion and continue the facade arrangement all the way to the bottom, it would be good enough. and the "tweezers" really make the building painful to look at.

7/10. One of Frisco's talls I like the least. Too jumbled up in the shape.

The building is too wide, and its top section is messy. It's trying too hard to be different.

The colour and facade are rather dull, and overall it fails to impress me.

It has its good profiles and bad ones. The façade with its colours and materials didn't age all too well but it retains a distinctive shape seen from far away.
