Group 3:
Czech Republic
Poland
N. Ireland
Slovakia
Slovenia
San Marino

First time in history all west-slavic countries in one group! The time of true is comming - in 2 years we'll see who is the champion of CE! I hope Polish will be first. And I'm very happy to play vs our brothers! But i care for small stadiums in Czech
Republic and Slovakia - tousends of polish fans are going to support our natinal team there! What do you thing about chances of ours teams?

As for Slovakia, we'll be quite happy if we'll be able to get 11 players together to play against another teams

Czechs are the strongest for sure. Slovaks and Irish will be very dangerous as well. But I hope we'll qualify anyway:)

I think we have quite easy group. We are the favourites, but Poland should be nearly so dangerous as Holland or Germany. On last WC they played well. Slovakia 3rd, N. Ireland with D. Healy will be also strong team, although Slovenia was in 5th basket, they have quite balanced squad, and San Marino is there just for the also-ran.

Matches with Poland and Slovakia could take place on Teplice, Sparta or Slavia stadiums (I'm not sure) with around 20+ cap.. San Marino will be played in Liberec.

I will only miss Malta with czech coach D. Fitzel and next Visegrád country, Hungaria, in our group:)

To summarize, I'm satisfied with the group we have.. England has much worse group: with Croatia:D, Ukraine, Belarus..

You won against Italy recently. Even though it was just a friendly game, the result is still great. You have couple of young talents and first of all very smart couch:)

Against Italy it was a friendly match... Our last 2 matches were against Greece (2-1 to Greece) and Moldavia (3-0 to Moldavia(!)) at Euro 2008 qualifying :ohno:

What is funniest - every federations of our region are very happy of drawing's result. But only 2 teams can go to the South Africa. I hope it will be Poland and Czech or Slovakia. Czech are rather favourits of our group but I'm sure that they will lost vs 11 polish players and 50000 polish fans ;) In Czech we'll have traditional polsih "win-tie" and we'll win this group. I thing also that Slovakia can be "black horse" of group 3.

Well, there is one rule in Slovak football. Slovakia will never qualify to Euro or WC. Since it's establishment in 1993 Slovaks have been out of Euro/WC final tournament and this rule is not going to be broken next 50 years. :o) Slovaks can't play football, Slovak ootball federation is totally corrupted, headed by mafia style business tycoons. And of course, the referee is always against Slovak team :o).

^^ Come on! I don't think you have no gifted football players. If czechs have why couldn't you have? Czechoslovakia used to have a very strong team and I doubt that all sportsmen were czechs.

BTW, I hope San Marino and N.Ireland will qualify for South Africa. I don't want any local wars in the neighborhood after the final results. :D

Slovak football is a case of total mismanagement, ok there are some gifted players like Marek Hamsik (Napoli star), but especially the league can not compare to Czech or even Polish. There is like 10 000 people attendance at 12 first league stadiums all together. Nobody really cares about football in Slovakia, maybe with the exception of Trnava fans. Ice hockey is different case...

Martin Skrtel, obrońca reprezentacji Słowacji, zmienił barwy klubowe. Zawodnik przeszedł z rosyjskiego Zenitu Sankt Petersburg do angielskiego Liverpool FC - poinformowały słowackie media.
23-letni Słowak ma zastąpić na środku obrony kontuzjowanego Samiego Hyypię. Podobno "The Reds" zapłacili za Skrtela około 10 milionów euro.
Słowacja jest rywalem Polski w eliminacjach do piłkarskich MŚ w 2010 roku."

Liverpool bought slovakian national player Martin Skrtel and paid probably 10 mln euro - so... I thing that situation of slovakian football is not so bad.

I like how Rep Czech play... they have a lot of good players. Poland and Slovakia have their chance, Slovenia and Northern Ireland just if they get a better level of football. San Marino just for fun!!!
