Just came back from the parade.
Was really happy to see the first of the MOWAG's Piranha III at the parade :cheers:, they look impressive, not to mention the noise the engine made, really sleek.
Also was surprised to see for the first time tanks at the parade, I mean real tanks, our TR-85 M1's (modernised versions), they really made some noise.
In the end, the parade was worth it!

More, it is also a tradition which recognizes France's contribution to Romania's history and I think it is good Romania does that. I hate this easy talk about military parades and their dillution into some kind of show just for the sake of show. It's not that by ALL means. It is at least what I mentioned above.

The army in Romania is not the number 1 priority at all! The military's budget is about 2% of GDP, while the education's and healthcare's budgets are about 6% of GDP. And there are other budgets which are larger than the army's budget. Contrarilly, the army's budget is among the smallest among budgets, and Romania's even breaking its NATO obligations by doing that.

The deficiencies of the healthcare are due to the poor management of hospitals and of the system as a whole, and not to the budget. Romania's healthcare budget is as big as Austria's, but its quality is a lot lower due to the poor management of the system. Trust me, I have had some links with the healthcare system and it needs a lot of reshuffling...so, by all means, it's not about money, but about management, and the current minister is not doing a great job IMO.
