Arctic Tower
Alta - Norway

Approved high-rise building in downtown Alta with apartments, offices and retail. The tower is designed by Kosbergs
Arkitektkontor AS (http://www.kosberg.no/) (Architects behind Rica Seilet (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v646/cityq/Norway%20and%20Nature/DSC_0205small.jpg) in Molde). The entire complex will consist of 109 apartments, with a
shopping mall in the two first floors. Two towers will be placed on the roof, one 8 floor tall restidential tower, and one
15 floor tall tower facing towards the planned Northern Light Cathedral (Nordlys Katedralen) nearby.

Latest news here is that it is approved, but put on hold in April due to the sudden freeze in the restidential market. That was in April this year, which was good times compared to now with the financial crisis just starting. I doubt we will see this one getting built.

Good for the investors, but sort of sad...
