Will there be the third house of Solaris?
There are too many buildings so tight together.

Yes, that yellow building on lower picture is the third Solaris.
Just a small "Manhattan'' will be here, called ''Imanta''.

At the moment you are right, but in the future here will be more offices and hotels (example : until quite recently approved Slokas Street complex)

Is there really so much demand for apartments in Riga any more? I'm just asking because in Tallinn prices are dropping and no company wants to build apartment buildings so much at the moment.

Yes, here is the same, demand is dropping, and many projects get delayed or even cancelled because of that. But I think there still is quite a demand for newly build apartments, many people want to get out of the shitty 9-floor commies in Plavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, Zolitude etc.

When one sees how many thousands of apartments are constructed now - at the moment when apartments in many new projects stand empty - it looks like overproduction. New apartment project should be brilliant in order to hope for some success.

If frankly - I don't like design of these towers. Happily this district isn't exactly beautiful either.

It is beautiful. :) There is a forest. To my mind, this district is much frendlier than other districts.

I agree - Imanta is cool - you can not expect superextraordinary buildings in every district - more down to earth highrises in district that is remote enough from centre are fine with me as long as they are high high high:)

I agree with Gatis on this one. Will be interesting to see how it will look like when they are done though, hopefully it will surprise me.
