Point Hyllie

Point Hyllie is the replacement for the 195m Malmö tower that was recently cancelled, with a decreased height to 95m and 27fl. It will still be Swedens second tallest residential building.

Point Hyllie
Point Hyllie will be an important part of the new urban space around Hyllie station square. The development consists of four tower blocks rising up from a column-supported base. The tallest building is approximately 95 m high, the next-tallest 49 m, and the final two between 29 and 23 m high. The two tallest buildings, the twin towers, will symbolise a gateway to Sweden, but also a gateway linking the Hyllie residential area with the square. The buildings have been designed to allow the project to be adapted to human dimensions, and there is a soft but supple transition between high and low. Looks great, too bad they rejected Malmö Towers height, because it was great, but this one is actually slightly better in design.

It was nice when I heard that they at least will build a highrise on the site. The design is pretty good. If it was built before Turning Torso it would have been considered a skyscraper.

Not too bad, but I won´t judge it ´till it has been built. The design of the place has a kind of a desolate feeling over it, very bright and cold. Some earth-warm colour (terracotta or such) on at least some of the buildings would make the place look different in a positive way.

I keep forgetting that Point Hyllie actually includes two "highrises", one at 95m and one at 49m. The smaller one certainly does not deserve its own thread, but still.
Can a mod please change the thread title to;

They remind me of the lampposts inside the Copenhagen Business School (Solbjerg Plads). I couldn't find any pics of them - staff probably knows what I'm talking about?

I would argue that the ones in the Point Hyllie project are even a tad more simple and clean. They are also outside and larger so other materials might be used.

No, this tower hasn't been canceled. Although, it will be built in phases so the tallest tower might not break ground in a couple of years.

Det blivande kontors- och butikskomplexet Point Hyllie har tecknat kontrakt med sina första hyresgäster.

HYLLIE. Det är Tullmyndigheten, Pressbyrån, Subway, Chinabox, Pölsemannen och Swedbank som beslutat sig för att flytta in i byggets första etapp som ska stå klart i slutet på 2010.

Point Hylle ligger vid Malmö Arena och den kommande Citytunnelstationen. Projektet består av fyra huskroppar på sammanlagt 45 000 kvadratmeter. Det högsta huset blir 29 våningar.

Etapp tre och fyra, med planerad byggstart 2010, kommer även att innehålla bostäder. Byggherre är Annehm AB.

So construction start in 2010 for the towers ;)

Malmö looks really ugly when coming from Denmark, you pass through the eastern parts of the city (I live there, still it's soooo ugly). It's going to be great skipping all that:)

Well, now it's basically going to be Hyllie (scrapers and modern architecture) and then all tunnel below the whole centre. :)

Malmö have to grow vertically, and they seem to understand it.

I think the future is bright for Malmö, hopefully we will see scraper projects in clusters in the future.

No, it just depends on from what angle you are looking at it. The organic form is most significant if you're looking at it from the square.

I somras byggstartade första etappen av Point Hyllie. Nu har byggnaden nått sin fulla höjd, 25 meter - och det är den lägsta av de fyra huskropparna som ska byggas.

Hus E, belägen några meter från Citytunnelns station Hyllie i Malmö, är nästan lika hög som grannen, Malmö arena, och har en utsikt som sträcker sig över landsgränsen.

– Point Hyllie blir ett landmärke i regionen. Vår första byggnad når 25 meter - säger Pia Andersson, vd Annehem Fastigheter.

Sedan i somras har arbetena med att grundlägga och resa Hus E pågått. Nu byggs husets översta femte kontorsvåning. Tanken med de höga byggnaderna är att de ska markera den nya stadsdelen Hyllie i Malmö där Citytunnelns station Hyllie blir utgångspunkten.

Byggandet av den första etappen av Point Hyllie har gått helt enligt tidplanen. Det är viktigt att denna första byggnad står klar när Citytunneln invigs i december i år då bland annat tullmyndigheten ska ha sin verksamhet här då station Hyllie blir den första stationen när man kommer till Sverige och sista på väg till Danmark och resten av Europa. Tullmyndighetens grannar i Hus E blir företag som ser fördelar med det kommunikativa läget och butiker samt restauranger som ska tillgodose det stora servicebehov som uppstår i anslutningen till en internationell tågstation.

Nästa etapp av projektet, Hus D, som blir 30 meter och sju våningar högt, beräknas byggstarta till hösten. Hela projektet planeras att stå klart år 2013.

Jag tycker PHs höghusdel är mycket snyggare än MTs dito men 216 meter skojar man inte bort. Hade sett snyggare ut sett från bron tror jag, lite som motvikt till TT i norr.

En sak jag är nyfiken på med utseendet är om C, B och A-husen får samma fasad om E och D eller om de verkligen får den fasaden de har på hemsidan (pointhyllie.se). Förstår inte riktigt varför man ska ha två olika fasader men jag gillar den andra bättre hur som helst.

Japp, detta är tråden för A-huset. :)

Verkar som det höga A-huset kommer att ha en mer kurvig fasad. De andra lägre husens fasader ser inte så lyckade ut tycker jag om man jämför med renderingarna.
