　　 本报讯（记者 邬双舟）南山商业文化中心区将建设楼高达300.8米的超高层建筑，该楼建成后将是南山第一高楼，成为南山地标。昨日下午，南山区召开南山商业文化中心区超高层建筑方案汇报会，区长刘庆生、副区长宋强听取了方案汇报。
　　
　　据了解，该超高层项目位于南山商业文化中心核心区内，紧临天利商务中心，地块标号为T106—0028，总用地面积为25727.8平方米，由深圳市长城投控股股份有限公司投资，投资金额20多亿元。项目由超高层塔楼和商务公寓楼两栋建筑组成，其中，超高层塔楼地上为62层，商务公寓楼地上为35层，两栋建筑均设3层地下室。超高层塔楼6层至41层设计为高级办公区，其中，36层至41层设计为豪华办公区。在办公区上，设计了20层的豪华酒店。
　　
　　 该超高层项目将采取高效、全新、充满人性化的设计，在融合周边城市环境的同时，将创造具有独立领域感的城市空间，建成后还将成为集经济性与自然生态于一体的多功能综合体，极大提升片区人气和商业价值。
　　
　　 听取报告后，刘庆生从安全、循环经济和外观3个方面对该项目提出了设计要求。他表示，不管该项目是不是地标建筑，都应把安全放在第一位，如果离开了安全，就毫无价值，由于该项目属于超高层建筑，因此在设计上要特别注意安全问题，要在技术上确保安全，做到万无一失。
　　
　　刘庆生还要求，该项目在设计中，要多考虑循环经济问题，要节能、环保，要穷尽思路，不留遗憾。他还向方案设计单位介绍了蛇口泰格公寓，该公寓是目前华南地区采用节能环保技术最多的建筑，也是国内惟一获美国绿色建筑委员会认证的商业项目。刘庆生希望方案设计单位借鉴泰格公寓节能、环保的成功经验。
　　
　　 据了解，该超高层项目设计方案已经6易其稿，最终设计方案目前还没有确定。

The official website of Nanshan Central District was closed two months ago(I guess because very few ppl use it). I had a post about it using hotlinks from the website and the pictures are gone as a result. No official information of this project is revealled to the public at this stage.

Why a round shape for a box building?

For the same reason than fortified castle towers are round.
This structure is designed to retain the perimeter walls from collapsing. A circle has a natural structural resistance to external pressures.

To better explain lets say you have a rectangular cardboard held between two ends. If you strike the cardboard in the middle it is easy to break . Now if you have a cylindrical cardboard There is no such vantage point.

well it'd be a pity if there isn't a more sophisticated connection with the other buildings besides the pedestrian parade as this would be a dominant building in that area (only China Resources 500 m and Mindray 338 m would be taller nearby, the Nanyou twin towers are to be a bit farther).

The parade itself leaves a lot to be desired, with no escalator from the direction of Maoye store, just a lift with queue waiting for it...

i'm sure there are some escalators from haiya/nanshan book city.. is it near to maoye? haven't been back for such a long time.....

One of the cranes look weird. see the crane from the right side, it has the boom flipped over in vertical position. was some accident there durring the last night storm ?

great progress! it is such a nice glassy tower, too bad it will not really be recognized in the ever growing city of shenzhen :D in any european city this would be a celebrated landmark.
